I think the OP was making a joke, it seems this existential discussion has no sense of humor.

It does look a little funny weird . So do lots .of ads, nothing is perfect and cannot please everyone . It's not that deep. I have more of an issue with the wording used , seems to over promise and under deliver . It's not my site and nobody asked me for suggestions so take that with a grain of salt .
There are several pros with photos of them cuddling in which both cuddlers are 'actively' cuddling, their eyes are closed, and both have a look of contentment that's missing from the models on the main page. I won't name the pros or post their photos here because there's probably rules against this. But I bet that if asked, some of our members would share their own photos that would look more natural and be more inviting.
My opinion, for whatever it's worth, is that the site photo looks too 'stiff' and posed, like the models aren't really enjoying being there.
Also agree with @pmvines about the wording on the homepage. ("We’ll find you a cuddle buddy" as opposed to something like "We'll help you find a cuddle buddy")
@MrMarkAndrew I 100% agree this issue is so low priority.
The last thing this world needs, is more aggressive marketing tactics being employed re:ANYTHING. Humans need to learn how to discover things for themselves again.
It’s marketing and advertising on steroids that actually creates most of the problems we live with in current times. Consumption vs. Prosumption
How long do we get to keep spoon feeding products, goods and services to people before e we wake up to the fact that we need to stop consuming at gluttonous rates, “destroying the planet” etc etc.
We are all just tiny cells, doing our tiny part to either facilitate health, or not.

Among other things on the homepage, that image was a result of A/B testing. So to some degree it's a reflection of what felt right to most of you when you discovered this place. Personally I think it exudes warmth which is an important objective.

I think the imagery is fine, more diverse would be better, I think there should be several back stories for each vignette describing how each connection was made, maybe depicting enthusiasts connecting, and pro scenarios. This will give gauge to what the different dynamics are, forums aside . 🙃
