  • I want to cry. It be so awesome to let it all go while being held.

My sister just made me realize my best friend was killed 20 years ago and i never dealt with it. I really didn’t and didn’t realize until she said it. It’s been messing with me for weeks.

  • Terminator 2 has all the answers:

  • @quixotic_life , @DaringSprinter , you guys might be onto something with the onions and plucking nose hairs.. lol it sounds funny but maybe it could work to open the physical valves alongside the emotional ones. Thanks for the tips. I'll let you know if it works. 😉

  • @Vianca , thank you for sharing your grey playlist! I love making mix tapes for different moods. I don't have one specifically for this purpose but it's a good idea.

@CactusHuggerTim Oh yeah, I forgot. The Will to Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love (bell hooks) is available as a free PDF copy. I use that to search because the hard copy does not have an index. Who do they have reading the audio book?

  • @PeopleLikeUs its narrated by Janina Edwards. Good to know a pdf is also available for free!

  • @pmvines I wouldn't normally associate death metal with sadness, but I think the video captures the rage, the anger, the unrelenting burning pain one feels when losing a loved one or a soulmate.

Someone teach me how to unlearn crying! I’m such a baby 😭

  • @ClubSamwiches I had a counselor tell me it was the one thing he'd like to change about me. He said he was at a loss about it. From there forward I found it in myself to regulate my own emotion. I still feel as much but I control it, it doesn't control me.

  • @ClubSamwiches I'm still a baby always crying on the inside. Problem is I don't know how to let it out. I walk around feeling like full bucket of water, heavy and always about to spill over (if there weren't a lid glued to the top).

I wish someone would help me install a spicket.

  • I've been told that I'm not normal because things like watching This Is Us doesn't make me cry. 🤷‍♀️😂😂 But a movie where an animal dies...especially a dog--instant waterworks. 😭😭😭 I have only been able to watch Marley and Me once.

I used to always cry at the end of movies like Moulin Rouge and The Bridges of Madison County, but I don't anymore. It's weird even to me. 🤷‍♀️

  • The movie Our Friend. They did a great job portraying end of life care and the dying process.

  • @jenluvzscooby that's not weird . I think when something so contrived as above mentioned show tries so hard to hit every single nerve known to human kind your brain knows it isnt real , and struggles to find something relatable. Sometimes less truly is more with these things

Skip to chapter 2: In the introduction, Ira Glass says he heard about this story from a family who listens to it every year at Christmas, (and every year, they all cry). That accurately describes our experience with this wonderful memoir.

It’s a pretty secular Christmas memory, for people who might worry about that. It’s a story of friendship and innocence and childhood. Its only about 20 minutes long. If this doesn’t make you cry, I’ll be surprised.

  • Tear gas will do it.

  • @MonkeyNeedsAHug ... I love the stories on This American Life. Ira Glass is a great story teller.

  • Wanna cry? Try one of these...

One chip. $7 at convenience store. Comes with a warning.

  • @FunCartel I am afraid to admit I’ve never seen that movie. That’s brutal.

  • What will make me cry and can feel my heart break is when they air the aspca animal rescue commercial. I have to turn the channel I can't handle it. Someone who would hurt/torture a innocent precious animal is true evil and you need to be in prison.

  • @FunCartel yeesh... that was close. I wonder how many holocaust stories I need to hear before the levy breaks.

I just found a paperback with a thin layer of dust on it, Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl. It may be worth revisiting.

  • @Charlie_Bear that was hilarious. Tears of laughter are welcome as well! 😆

Also related, this YT channel has made my eyes water once or twice called "The Dodo". @taminator I think you would like it.

  • @Tom2019 I'll take the chip as a last resort. There has to be a better way... 😅

  • I just want to hug every one of you. I love when people open up to me and cry. It feels like we're getting somewhere when that happens. I will hold them until the last tear falls. ❤️

These days mainly I cry happy tears or heartwarming tears. I know how to cry sad tears. I wish I knew how to stop tears that would be a better thread for me. Because sometimes I get embarrassed because I can’t stop crying. I was writing a letter to my eighth grade teacher how much he helped me and believed in me, dummy me was writing it at the coffee shop thinking I can just put this letter together quickly and be done with it and send it on the way. I was crying like I just lost my best friend, right at the coffee shop I finally had to tell people that were around me that I was writing a letter to my teacher. Really what makes me cry every time without fail is remembering those people that truly loved me with no strings attached and believed in me. I’m crying now as I type this🥲
