Tried that site once and got robbed 80 but I disputed and got it back. Word of mouth is more powerful than any advertising. Your site is doomed unless you change your name, the sites name and your behavior.

  • I used snuggle buddies quite a few times and never had an issue. I understand that several people have their opinions and what not but all I can say is that I personally have never had an issue. I still keep in touch with all of the girls I met on snuggle buddies and none of them have ever said anything negative about the site. None of them are on the site anymore but I always assumed it was a money thing seeing as 50% vs 15% is a huge difference. I prefer the community aspect of cuddle comfort and how you can directly contact fellow members.

I was a customer of TSB several times. It only happened once that I paid and did not get a prompt email with the cuddler's contact info. I waited more than a week, so I emailed TSB and was ignored. I received the cuddler's contact info about two weeks later, but I had already called my credit card company to dispute the $80 charge I paid. Then I receive an email from TSB three months later: "You know, for the record, I have severe depression." What business would do something like this? It is so ridiculous that an owner of a business would tell the customer that he has depression and that is the reason why there was a delay in sending an email with the cuddler's contact info and a three month delay in sending some sort of an apology or a lame excuse in my situation. It only takes one bad experience to lose a customer. The reality is that even if TSB did everything right, they face better competition. I emailed him that he should just go out of business. I honestly do not think that TSB can recover because I don't think he is capable and the only reason why he would come on this forum is because his business is not doing as well as his competitors. If ignorant people were still willing to pay $80 and not receive any cuddling or he could get away with not paying cuddlers whenever he felt like it, he would do it.

  • This thread is confusing. What is the purpose of this thread exactly? Is this an appropriate site/forum for this discussion??

  • @Alternis E-mail the website and I will resolve the situation
I have e-mailed people that I found with issues and have resolved a few today.
If anyone else had any issues, e-mail the website and I will resolve with you.
I never intended for anyone to have a bad experience.

@Jrose the thread is to resolve any complaints from last year. I was unable to work and people were angry. There is a thread here with complaints that I am trying to resolve.

I've decided to edit this entry in order to change the tone a bit and add to it.

@TSBofficial People were angry due to the way they were treated by you, first and foremost. Issues with your business did not just occur last year. They were brought to light, in much more public fashion, this past year. Much like the recent allegations against several well-known Hollywood celebrities, these things tend to be accumulative and build up until people are ready to talk about what happened.

My own dealings with you occurred approximately around 2014-2015. Even then, there were women who I befriended who told me they quit because they weren't being paid. A few also mentioned having a hard time being removed from both your site and advertising. They also mentioned you being abrasive. My personal experience with you, coupled with the stories from these women, are why I swore off doing business with you again. When I began seeing the screen shots and various reviews, my feeling about you went from abrasive to sociopathic.

I still believe your post is mostly about fishing for sympathy and covering your tracks. Just last evening, I logged in to Trustpilot to see you reply to myself and the other reviewers, most all replies mentioning your health issues and a few that challenged the criticism and requested the reviews to be removed. You still seem to have a lot of trouble not making this whole thing about yourself. I don't believe you have true intentions of changing and are merely posting here as a smoke screen of sorts. However, I will be the first to admit if I'm wrong.

I received an email from TSB today and he informed me that I was reimbursed. I contacted my credit card company to verify and it is true. He feels that I have been hateful in my comments and that I perceive him as an evil person. I can understand if someone has depression and how that affects someone. I have dysthymia. That is what it used to be called. It is now known as persistent depressive disorder. I've had it since I was a kid because I was bullied a lot in middle school. I was treated unfairly in a few jobs as an adult and that made it worse. I took a dietary supplement about three years ago which caused me to have to go to the hospital and I received a drug which made my health worse and I'm still dealing with health issues. I still have a job even though I almost died. I had sick leave time, but I used almost all of it before I was able to regain my health to a point that I could work without seeing a doctor every month. I am a librarian and there were times that I could barely stand and walk to help a customer find a book. I used to be in great health. I was a former athlete, but I worked in a building with mold, I had stress from a gender based hostile work environment, and received a dangerous drug in the hospital. All these things combined could have killed me and I am fortunate to be alive. I still had to work in spite of all this and I had a limited amount of sick leave time to use. I am an energy healer as well as a librarian, but I could not heal myself. I can heal others, but I had to go to other healers to get better. I had to spend about $15,000 on shamans and other energy healers or I would have been unable to do my job.
When TSB tells me that he was unable to send me an email with a cuddler's contact info in a timely manner because of his depression, it is hard for me to have sympathy for him and his company.

I have had to deal with jerks all of my life, but I believe in karma and that people that do intentional harm to others will have to face consequences in the future. TSB asked me if I would give it another chance. I may, but not in the near future. I have more than enough opportunities for cuddling with Cuddle Comfort and Cuddle Companions. I just want TSB to acknowledge its shortcomings and to not dismiss legitimate complaints. If someone intentionally harms someone, then that is evil, so people may feel that such a person is evil. I believe that some people are born evil. I saw on television there was a documentary about a mass murderer. When he was a child, he killed animals. As an adult, he killed people. Those kinds of people can probably never be rehabilitated. If TSB has ethical business practices from now on, then eventually it will have a better reputation, but this will take time. I don't know how much time, but it is not going to instantly change.

  • @TSBofficial there is one young lady that I'm sure you know who I'm talking about that is the sweetest thing in the world. She's located here in Vegas and I've cuddled with her through this service. She's told me that she's requested to be removed from the site multiple times to no avail. Almost every time I requested someone from your service, I would get the runaround. Sometimes I would get no response or I would get a response to prepay first. I even called the cell phone # and the person that answered said that there was no Evan there. Funny thing was that somehow my cell phone # was made public and I received a text from someone that stated that she was working for your company. Next day, she was gone from the site.

  • [Deleted User]RScarf1 (deleted user)

I was told by a former TSB cuddler that TSB's phone number used to be on its website. It is no longer there, so the only way you can communicate with Evan is by email. Of course, it is up to Evan whether he wants to reply or not.

  • Can’t say I remember the number being on the website but it’s definitely possible.

@CrossFitNLattes My cell number was also made public and given to one of his employees that I never inquired about. She had no idea and apologized. I told her not to worry about it, though, since it wasn't her fault she was deceived. She was very nice and confided in me that she wasn't happy about getting the runaround on a regular basis and ended up quitting a short time later. When I told Evan not to share my information without consent again, he was dismissive and rude. That was the last time I even remotely considered using the site. It's situations like that and yours why I call shenanigans. Considering mine happened in 2015, it's also pretty darn clear that the funny business was happening way prior to 2017, despite his claims to the contrary.

This thread titled "The Snuggle Buddies: An Explanation" really didn't explain anything that would improve TSB's reputation and I think it actually hurt TSB's reputation even more. People can detect dishonesty. Anyone who pays TSB with a credit card can always dispute the charge if they don't receive any services. Therefore, I am most concerned about the cuddlers who do not get paid after they do a session. They are supposed to receive $40 per hour which is half of what the customer pays. There is little risk for someone who pays with a credit card because we can call our credit card company and dispute it. A cuddler who is not paid for the time she worked with TSB is going to have a much more difficult time getting her money. She is likely not going to go to small claims court for $40, so she will probably just quit and TSB keeps all the money. I believe that TSB wants to turn over a new leaf and have a fresh start, but that is not going to happen by excuses as to what went wrong whether it was intentional or unintentional. TSB is on thin ice in that it cannot afford to have more bad reviews in the future from customers and employees.

  • Not to mention the thread starter seems to have abandoned his thread once he saw nobody was feeling sorry for him

@RScarf I don't believe he wants to change. I think he started this entire thread in an attempt to appear sympathetic and it, predictably, backfired. I can't take anyone seriously who calls a black woman the N-word and then spends all of one sentence explaining it as, "I hire people of all races" while ignoring photographic evidence. Even if we are to believe it wasn't him, he never even apologized for that incident happening on his company ledger. This is nothing more than an attempt to keep clientele that has become disillusioned as a result of his actions. He has no one to blame but himself.

  • [Deleted User]VIPirate (deleted user)

@pmvines Indeed. That has not gone unnoticed.

  • I am not anti-SB whatsoever and I’m not trying to jump on anybody’s bandwagon but I have to admit, this thread was one huge backfire LOL

  • [Deleted User]RScarf1 (deleted user)

I believe that he wants to change because he has to in order to make money. He obviously lost money due to TSB's reputation. I stated earlier that if he could continue to collect $80 per hour and either not pay the cuddler or not give the cuddler's contact info to the customer, then he would. Both ways would mean that he keeps the $80 and not have to pay half of that to anyone. When I was a customer, I looked at the cuddlers in Florida on his website and there are a few African-American women who work for him. I had a session with one of the African-American women, so I believe that they all are real. I don't know of any racism with TSB except for what others have mentioned.

There were a couple of times that I had repeated last-minute cancellations from TSB cuddlers and I informed him about this and wanted to switch my money to other cuddlers. He was not happy about it and he told me via email that he was thinking about leaving the business. He was having problems with cuddlers that he hired, but I don't know how often this happened to him. I understand that running a business can be stressful, but I was the customer. I was being honest with him, but one of the cuddlers lied and said that I cancelled. I drove to her city and waited for her at a restaurant. She texted me that she was in another county and could not come. He does have new cuddlers from Florida on his website, so I am wondering if these women are unaware of TSB's reputation.

@RScarf I probably could have worded that better and said I don't believe he wants to change for genuine, altruistic reasons. Attached is the e-mail he, or someone, sent to a former employee of his. I feel like having employees of different races doesn't necessarily preclude someone from having racist tendencies. If he is profiting off someone, race probably doesn't matter. Former L.A. Clippers owner Donald Sterling is a comparable example. I understand what you're saying overall, though. Indeed, he definitely needs to change unless he wants his business to go under. Whether he's capable of it remains to be seen.

  • [Deleted User]RScarf1 (deleted user)

Yes, I thought about making that analogy. A sports team owner could have blacks on his team and he could still be racist. I want TSB to change for the sake of the cuddlers and customers. He has to be careful what he puts in writing. His interactions with cuddlers and customers should be professional.

  • One time I was accused of being racist and I replied, how can I be racist, I love hip hop and basketball. I thought wow that can totally be regarded as a racist comment.

  • I did two sessions for you and never got paid once. You owe me $80,

  • [Deleted User]RScarf1 (deleted user)

Well, TSBofficial. What do you have to say to buffyswan?

  • [Deleted User]VIPirate (deleted user)
    edited January 2018

@buffyswan It should be mentioned that Evan once asked me if I could prepay as well, but the lady I met had already done previous cuddling for him. I declined because I thought his randomly asking, shortly prior to meeting her, was odd. His story about prepayment for a new hire versus established seems to shift depending on who he's talking to.

  • [Deleted User]RScarf1 (deleted user)

Also, there is no designation of new or established cuddler on TSB's website. I always prepaid when I was a customer.

Running a business is not easy and for someone with depression, I assume that it would be more difficult. However, you have to try to do the right thing. There are people with mental illness that can control their behavior, but I know some people cannot or don't care to.

  • I ran into a guy last night that was very rude. It was apparent he was suffering from mental illness. Although he was rude to me, I felt badly for him. It’s sad that I’m this day and age, there are human beings suffering from any type of illness. Even more sad is how so many people who suffer are simply discarded. I have a close friend who I noticed his behavior had changed. I kept asking him if he was okay and he reply was always yes. I finally left it alone and one day not long after, he called me and said he was checking into a program for depression. He is now out of the program and doing better. I’m glad that he’s okay but I also question myself, should I have done more seeing as I recognized a friend was having issues. What if it had ended in a tragic way such as suicide and I had the opportunity to do something about it. It’s sad that we live in a society where it’s so easy to condemn and discard where it seems more difficult to forgive.

  • [Deleted User]RScarf1 (deleted user)

My sister is crazy, but she can control it when she goes to work because she knows there are consequences. If she is physically or verbally abusive to a stranger or a coworker, the police could get involved, so she is law abiding at work. With family, she acts like there are no consequences because she knows that we will never call the police. However, she will make false accusations and call the police. Finally, she got arrested for battery against her husband three years ago. Now they are divorced. She should have been arrested at least 100 times for all the things that she has done for four decades. I don't have sympathy for her because she can control her behavior, but she chose not to and she wanted to affect other people's lives. There are many types of mental illness. I don't have sympathy for TSB because the way he ran his business, he thought there would be no consequences. However, the reputation of the company declined to a point that he was seeking to be forgiven on this forum.

Read My email conversation with Evan Carp (Jeff Smith) founder and owner of "Snuggle Buddies" on the General section of this forum. A cuddler on Cuddle Comfort was not employed by The Snuggle Buddies, but was considering it if Evan Carp/Jeff Smith allowed her to be paid first by the customer and then she would send Evan's percentage to him. He apparently did not like that idea and replied "You expect me to trust you?" The Snuggle Buddies did not agree to have the customer pay the cuddler first if she worked for TSB.
