Also, I’ve shared my pics plenty of times here, used to have it as my main profile pic and as I got more involved with the forums I decided to only provide it whenever requested in p.m. (I have never said no to anyone here who has ever asked me to share and send them a pic of me), and I’m a big proponent of having video chat here, although I understand why it isn’t a feature or won’t be considered one … any more assumptions you like to make? lol feel free 😇

I do think there should be a better process for being given the right to be listed as a pro. From what I’ve seen, pro only means that you take money for cuddling. Am I wrong? If one was to use pro, I would think they would have some type of Professional background.

Do you think you're the first guy here who booked a pro with obviously filtered or outdated photos who came to the forums to complain? Common sense can go a long way. There's a thread on catfishing sticked on this forum. If you're unsure about a pro, request a video call after you've made a booking. If she refuses or looks sketchy , cancel.
Pros have to sort through so much garbage when it comes to screening our clients, yet we manage to do it and so can you.
Safety is very important to men too. It would be nice if pros where verified by CC ( CC retains their information and does not distribute it). I was robbed by a woman from another site. She came in gathered the three hour payment and excused herself to the bathroom to change into leggings. After a minute she came out and briskly walked out. Telling me I better not follow her as she had a male partner in the car. I fell that these two made a living stealing off of others.
@oregonfireguy That's terrible. Unfortunately, that sort of thing happens on dating sites too ... someone goes to meet a date and gets robbed. And those sites do collect name and credit card info. But a thief is just as likely to be using fake ID and stolen card numbers. The only way I could see CC doing verification would be to ask everyone for a card number (even without a charge) and I think most people would refuse to hand that info over.
@WriterGF, actually every pro does have a credit/debit card on file with CC. That is how the site collects its 15% fee; the pro receives cash at the session and CC charges her card 15% of the session cost.
We don’t have any other identification on file, though.
TBH, this issue has been discussed many many times by users. The site owners and admins have made it pretty clear that they have no interest in managing this and encourage all users to do their own screening.
As I recall, their rationale was pretty persuasive, a mix of practical and legal concerns.
UPDATE: I scrolled back to 2019 and couldn’t find the post, but if it turns up, I’ll share.
Just like finding a roommate, starting a new relationship, hiring a new employee, etc., you will rarely get what you see on paper even WITH screening. I think many of us wish there was some real form of accountability for the predators who live on CC whether pro or enthusiast. This topic comes up often. The bottom line is that it's on you to screen and you do take a risk. As a personal rule I don't go to people's houses because I'm afraid of getting kidnapped or murdered, so your cars are safe from me.

@oregonfireguy I've been robbed by a pro too. Honestly, it's the best money I ever spent, I learned how not to be a sucker. My advice is to always make your first session a short one, that way you get a good feel for the person and if it doesn't go well you can chalk it up to a lesson learned. One exception is for pros who are active on the forums and invested in the game, for them I generally start with a higher trust level anyways. So maybe that is the verification process, read what they write and see how they interact on the forums with other members.
@thatsteveguy , hang in there brother. No need to apologize for your success. The level of hostility here is curious but that's human nature, and probably a little jaded-ness and jealousy, who knows ? You're fortunate to have the resources to buy a whole lot of cuddles and you're absolutely right to be concerned about pros who may have bad intentions.

There's a big difference between "apologizing for your success" (which I don't think anyone asked him to do) and bragging about your success when no one asked.

I don't see hostility. We are pointing out how ludicrous it is that he doesn't want to be robbed by pros while announcing to a bunch of unverified pros that he has expensive things lying around for the taking. That's how you get robbed. One of those very people who would take advantage of this situation are probably lurking. 🤷♀️
I have no problem being verified. I am verified on all the other sites- those however cost a lot more money! This site is so much more user friendly and typically a positive place. It's sad to see that bad apples are getting in. As a pro- all pros have had to deal with more than one could imagine. I mean, I know I have. I think there is a misconception on what being pro includes. The creeps on here are crazy but the great ones are the reason I stay. You have to take a chance. That's it. We all take chances everyday. This site is no different.
@Rezz and that’s how I weed people out. I don’t see anyone that doesn’t have at least 4-5 reviews from people that also have lots of reviews. Im a gun toting republican from the east coast and the door to my house has a sign that says nothing inside is worth dying for…I’m pretty sure nobody is dumb enough to try anything
Well @thatsteveguy to each his own I guess. Now you are disclosing weapons, not just cars. It wouldn't be my style, but then of course, everyone needs and deserves cuddles, so good luck to you - I wish you success! And I mean that sincerely.
Also, you might have better luck with pros who host. That way you wouldn't be on the edge about being robbed, and the lowered anxiety might translate into a good session. However, pros who host probably want you to not be carrying while in their space.
I feel as though I have enough positive reviews to add some color to this convo.. had CC asked me to do a background check (them covering the cost), I would’ve absolutely obliged. However, had they asked me to cover the cost of a background check…pass. In the spirit of transparency, I began as a pro cuddler on a whim to make extra vacation money, but have since grown to really enjoy it as I get to set my own schedule and I’m also a fantastic and comforting person to be around.
I have a full time, 9-5 with great compensation and I believe that truly let’s me be very discerning with who I choose to cuddle as I’m never in a “need the money” mindset. Because of this, the amount of poor experiences I’ve had has been quite minimal and hardly ever reaches my front door.
All that being stated, I think cuddlers (enthusiasts and pros) who are “hungry” -albeit for money or affection, tend to overlook red flags in individuals they are communicating with and rush into a cuddle session before truly understanding who they’re dealing with. Pros who spend their time cuddling and then asking for payment, only to be shorted. Enthusiasts/Clients paying deposits to pros with little to no reviews and then being ghosted, or rushing to meet a pro because their photos look good but they’ve never taken time to video chat to see if the vibe matches. It’s hard for me to feel much sympathy for someone feeling scammed when people don’t add in the proper vetting they need ahead of time and advocate for themselves -especially when it’s an enthusiast who is choosing looks over connection.
Ultimately, CC could, in theory, do more to protect both enthusiasts and pros against scams, but we must also take ownership to protect ourselves to suit our comfort levels.
My advice is to slow down and take time to look for quality pros over trying every “flavor” of pro that catches your eye -which is what I’m assuming clients who get scammed are doing.
Please note, my comments clearly come across as blaming the victim but these comments DO NOT apply to cuddlers who are victims of physical or sexual abuse/assault.
@RadiantHugs I love your approach to this thread … to be honest I’m not even judging this guy 1 bit, his intentions and the way he looks at people are very transparent after reading this post , his comments , and his profile … what I am judging is anyone who has ever accepted a cuddling request from this guy and I’m making a mental note on who has, I can’t even comprehend how anyone with self respect will ever accept a cuddle request after reading his profile unless they are desperate for money or down to their last meal… for any pros here where we happen to be cool before today, and we’ve exchanged a wonderful convo In pm or the forums, and this guy books you, let me know how many hours it was for and I’ll gladly cover it so you don’t have to put yourself in such a degrading position, and I really mean this …. Don’t know if this comment will get me In trouble but I mean it.
Until now, I've never known someone who owns guns that let most people know they had them, much less post it in a forum that all internet users can read. That alone is gigantic red flag, never mind the other off-putting stuff that came before. I hope all the pros find out about this.

It would be expensive and slow to do background checks. Lyft uses Checkr which charges $54, and can take up to a couple of weeks. That would be a significant barrier to entry for both clients and pros.
I prefer it this way some abuse this system and steal credit card info

So with your logic, you don't want to invest in a 'business' which is what this basically is, a lousy $50 for a background check for the chance to make $100 an hour for potentially unlimited hours per week as a side gig. Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds?
