First time

How do you find a cuddle buddy, not a pro?

Comments

  • Hi! Gotta be patient, flesh out your profile, and take your time to converse with and get to know pple.

There was a pretty good convo and meta thread doing on earlier for a new user.

    Best of luck!

  • Wow! I was wondering the same thing. I've cuddle with Pro's before and my current Cuddle Buddy live in another states so it's not quite as convenient as I would like...or need for that matter. So I'm also seeking Enthusiast that I can just enjoy cuddling with whenever we have time.

  • Yeah just let things takes it course!!! Just be yourself and things will began to roll. I am a friend to everyone here. I am NOT a pro!!!!

  • I would also add that you shouldn't be at all fussy. Don't initially reject anybody who's close enough to you. That gorgeous 22 year old might not be as bombarded with requests as you think. That fat, ugly looking woman might turn out to be the best cuddle partner you'll ever have.

Don't try to use CC as if it were a dating site. It isn't, and it's very different from one.

    That fat, ugly looking woman>

    Holy crap, dude

  • Interesting to actually see some peoples inner monologues spelled out for all to read.

  • I like it. @GreatHornedOwl is just saying it like it really is. Not giving me layers of diplomatic PC stuff to wade thru where I can't figure out what he is really trying to say. And he is right about things not always being what they seem at first look.

  • I'm for honesty, but not valuing a woman based on her looks. Most of us aren't models, so good to just be social and appreciate everyone for what they bring.

A similar parallel would be if a woman talked about a man and started talking about his net worth and the chiselness of his abs- just objecting them.

  • @cylee1180 - Do you mean that women don't do that? Wow!

@GreatHornedOwl A woman is worth more than her looks, and a man is worth more than his bank account. Quantifying either to such a diminished state has negative effects, but of the two, one is worse:

    • how a woman looks can affect her perceived competence in a workplace setting
    • to be famous or successful, many women have to sell their bodies in addition to their talent (eg - Mia Hamm, Rhonda Rousey, Tina Fey). It is okay for men to not be the best groomed if they're talented (there's a double standard , and that standard also includes the idea that women are only good for making babies, and domestic support)
    • women get cat called and harassed bc of the idea that they are objects and not people

While women objectify too, it's inconvenient for men, but it is their right to do so also- I mean, about a 100 years ago they couldn't evrn vote and 50 years ago they couldn't even work for a living and had to be housewives (no dating life at all).

The major difference is that there are not systems in place (social, communal, professional, romantic, sexual, familial, etc.) that prevent a man from achieving his goals or potential based on his objectified or perceived worth or lack of.

  • @cylee1180: Unless I misread it, @GreatHornedOwl wasn't reducing anyone to their looks—he was saying that while "fat" and "ugly-looking" might be considered negatives in the dating world (or the world at large), here that needn't be so. Good cuddles aren't contingent on modern beauty standards!

  • @DaringSprinter Well there have been other instances in which he identified a pro, graded her looks, and then proceeded with the conversation. I mean it's his right to express it, just as it's my right to state my opinion about that expression. GreatHorn is oftentimes inquisitive and contributes a lot to the forum- I just happen to disagree on that point. Cheers.

  • It seems like some people pictured someone when he said the words fat and ugly. I just understood that he was describing to ends of a spectrum. Both fat and ugly a relative and based on individual perception, and since hey said it as a counterpoint to the 22 year old gorgeous smokeshow ( Also relative and perspective) demonstrated that. He also said NOT to consider criteria like that be the criteria that’s important.

But anyway, anything good on Netflix?

  • @cylee1180: I hadn't noticed that. Fair enough.

  • @cylee1180 - What I just said is that for a woman, being fat and ugly, is not a good reason for a man to reject her. Having recently visited my profile , and probably having read some of my other posts, you should understand that I have repeatedly stated that a woman's physical appearance of zero importance when evaluating her to be a cuddle partner. I am more concerned with what she has between her ears, Than the appearance of her face,and/or body.
@DaringSprinter - has it just right.

You read this post and actually do what it says:

Only works if there are a reasonable number of enthusiasts in you area. All being well, then read this one.

If @CuddleWho was here he would tell you not to bother because it's a waste of effort, just use CC for finding professionals, and that there are much better ways of meeting women than this.

One example of this is going to cuddle workshops/parties. Google to find if there are any near you. (They are not a Cuddle Comfort speciality.)

One of the ways I meet women enthusiast cuddle buddies is to write back when they open a conversation with me, but it takes a while to get to that stage.

@GreatHornedOwl is correct. If you approach this like a dating site you are guaranteed to get nowhere. It's totally different, in spite of the superficial similarities.

  • Do you mean that women don't do that? Wow!

I think you already admitted it. You had also sized up a pro in another thread. Not the end of the world. Good day.

  • Time an patience, but is it really worth the wait? Only you can decide
