Time wasters

  • @AintMisbehavin Very well-spoken!

  • Nobody is truly here to "time-waste", I think that is just code word for "talking to me for free without giving me a guarantee that you will book a paid session"... people get so upset with the mere suggestion that there should be a pro-only site saying it's their choice but the same time clap and agree with a pro calling someone who doesn't immediately book a session a "time-waster".

Clearly some pros would be happier on one of the many pro cuddler sites where there's no opportunity for anybody to "waste your time"... why stay on a site where people are wasting your time when as a pro.... you have MANY options for sites dedicated to pro cuddlers.

Just to be clear... read the OP message and the attitude she gives to someone merely talking to her, she's not talking about someone booking and then cancelling she's clearly talking about enthusiasts daring to message her and then not book a time with her... i'm merely telling the pro and any pro she claims to speak on behalf of... that if you feel like your time is being wasted on here when you have money to make... then really nobody is keeping you here.

  • @carino, following every session scheduled through CC a pro will find a notification in her inbox that says something like:

How did the sessions with -client’s username- go? Consider leaving feedback to let others know…

Under that, pros can click one of two buttons: “Leave Karma” or “This Session Did Not Take Place.”

If you choose the latter, a small box pops up where the pro writes an explanation of what happened that led to the cancellation. Both the pro and the client receive a “Cancellation of Booking” email with this explanation and then the pro is not charged.

The pro has like 48 hours to do this. If she doesn’t, her card will be charged the 15% commission. Even still, if the pro writes to the site admin to explain that the session did not take place, they will reverse the charge. I have never heard of one of these requests being denied, the site just takes the pro’s word for it.

I would imagine that if the pro was abusing this feature, she would get a warning. If she continues cancelling sessions to avoid the fee, she would be banned.

All in all, CC is pretty fair about commission charges and it’s not a big source of contention that I see really anyone complaining about.

  • @AintMisbehavin i agree w sunset snuggles, very well said. I slightly misspoke when I put idle conversation lumped with being disrespectful. I more meant if conversation is expected from anyone or if people are purposefully trying to distract. I’ve had some great conversations with pros on here :)

@CuddleDublin, nothing in this life is truly free. The fact is that if pro cuddlers didn’t exist on this site, you would be paying either a monthly subscription fee or be forced to purchase tokens in order to send messages as is the case on many other lifestyle platforms.

Seems like a pretty good trade off to me. Pro cuddlers exist for people who are interested and you get to use the site to find enthusiast cuddles without paying. Win win.

And do not mistake me—I am not denying the existence of “time wasters” as a phenomenon.

Pros do frequently navigate situations where prospective clients will message about services with no intention of booking. They will inquire about scheduling/availability multiple times per week and then disappear or ask to reserve a spot, and then proceed to reschedule multiple times or even just ghost without confirming through the booking panel. It’s annoying for sure, but to me it’s just part of the price of doing business. That’s why a pro’s price per hour is pretty high—because the investment a pro has in a session goes well beyond the 1 or 2 hours spent with a client. If you feel like you’re losing money corresponding, raise your rate.

Likewise, there are pros who get annoyed after 2-3 messages exchanged without a booking, but that is not what is usually meant by “time waster.”

There are folks on the site who will fixate on a pro and message her multiple times per day every day if she allows it. I’m talking a “good morning” every morning, a “how was your day?” in the mid afternoon, and a “sweet dreams” every night. These people are not villains, however; they’re lonely or struggling with their own issues.

They are abusing the relationship, but rather than grouse, I still maintain that we pros need to assert our own boundaries and make use of the block function where necessary. And when situations escalate to the extent that they can be described as stalking, report and alert mods to the severity. It’s just part of the job of being a service provider in an open marketplace.

  • I didn't read every post on here, but I will say I try not to waste anyone's time. Sometimes I may contact a pro first and inquire questions about a potential cuddle and certain things may not work out such as scheduling, hosting, budget at the moment, etc. It may not lead to an immediate cuddle session, but sometimes leads to one in the future.
On the other hand, there are pros who have messaged me first. Both ones that saw I visited their page and pretty soon got down to asking if I was interested in a session after a few pleasantries (which sometimes lead to a session, but usually not, because I prefer in person to virtual and I don't travel enough), and then a few who were far away, but still were super friendly to talk to and never said I was a time waster. Those in the latter I have truly enjoyed having conversations with and are ones who have been on here for a while. On top of that, the rapport makes me really want to hope for a future potential session either when they are in town, or when I someday can afford to travel more to their area. Hoping my job interview goes well so I can start living that dream.

Part of it boils down to knowing your audience. I am truly good friends both on and offline with quite a few folks , some who happen to be pro cuddlers . Organic friendships happen if you let them. But I think you have to be able to decipher which folks are genuinely interested in getting to know you vs those who are simply being polite . Some pros are on here for the business aspect only , and that's perfectly ok. Be a grown up about it and dont be butt hurt when they dont want to hear your life story and engage in all the back and forth. People are people and dont necessarily have that need or desire to have interweb friends

  • Okay well I post this before I went to the hospital earlier today and then I come to check on it throughout the day and it's blown the f****** okay.. I'm not saying everyone who messages a pro is a time waster. Yes I understand that you need to ask questions and talk a little bit you know try to get a little comfortable with each other get to know each other you know etc. But if it goes on for weeks upon weeks and there's still no booking even a short one to see if you guys would get along in person I consider that a time waster. I have no problems talking to anybody, I don't want to charge people to talk to me clearly but yes I do this also to help people but also to make an income. I am a single parent of three teenagers right now it is very hard to be a single parent but I do run across people who waste my time and it irritates me when I could have been spending all that time on somebody who desperately needed my help. I like helping people. That's why I became a pro cuddler.

  • I also never message someone first about doing a session. I think that is rude. So if you message me and just never book anything like forever then yea time waster.

I agree with @pmvines in that instance about it being subjective. I click on profiles often and get some pros messaging me because of it. I can't tell if they are just being friendly or are trying to book a session with me. If I booked everyone who reached out to me, I'd go broke, so I have be selective.

@CuddleDublin your second post is well stated.

There are absolutely time wasters here. People that intentionally waste a pros time. They will string pros along, repeatedly book and then cancel. Hit pros up months later, sometimes on different accounts, pretending to be other people seemingly to toy with them. Some are predatory. I see the convos in the reports that are filed. These people do exist and we are constantly banning them.

Edit: Your take on people just wanting to chat is also not a good take. Pros can be swamped with messages. They can choose who they communicate with. No one is entitled to a conversation. If not responding hurts a pros business, that’s their choice, but if you think pros are expected to carry on a conversation with everyone that messages them, you may not be considering how much of their free rime that might take that they would rather be spending on something else.

Edit 2: I didn’t realize I was responding to a comment from last year 🪦🧟‍♂️🪦 Removing tag and gonna sink the necro thread

  • @Mike403 You're definitely upping your forum topic game lately. That definitely gets you more attention!

  • @Charlie_Bear - Anything being done to prevent them from starting a new account? I think that the trolls don't care if they get banned because they can just start a new account and do the same malicious activities until that account gets banned then do it all again.

  • @Mike403
We catch a lot of them but some are a bit more sophisticated and slip through the cracks. There are efforts to stop these people but I thinks it’s going to be a continued problem.

  • @AllAboutSoul - I just had some random person message me and ask why I'm creating all these forum discussions and that the "I need a client" thread didn't make any sense since I'm not a pro. That's not even my thread. lmao
