I feel lonely sometimes - living an authentic life is nice on paper, but it definitely isn't something for everyone. I have always been my own best friend but I'm trying to recognize I'm not alone in the need of connection in times of disconnected people, and try to have compassion for myself first so I can be better for others.

Well my loneliness has heightened. This year alone I've had to dismiss or remove 3 friends I've known for decades because I realized they are not the true friends as I thought they were. There is a disadvantage of always looking for the best in people but to also look at how one manages their flaws.

Outside of CC, I have a tight-knit group of friends that I see regularly, and other people in my online posse that I check in with or they check in with me regularly. But I still have days and days of craving connection. Recently, I gave up on a friendship and I have been holding space and healing. If there is balm for this, someone please point the way.
Ironically, CC here, where there is ample opportunity to connect, is the loneliest. Most Pros or enthusiasts get freaked out by a moderator messaging them. I still will try, but I don't put any expectation or hope there to connect. The people I have met and connected with are beautiful souls and I cherish their space, but there is still loneliness in between real life, in-person connections and in-person happenings versus online check-ins.
Yeah, I'm kind of raw right now.
@Sideon I can understand your plight. I feel like the more time I spend on sites like this, the more alone I feel. Sometimes it's just time to unplug and go be out in the real world for a while.
Yes. My cuddle partner is the only physical contact i've had in over 10 years, and they recently got banned. And I don't really have the energy to search for another.
Most of my life I've been lonely, and sometimes still am, but definitely less than I have been in the past before I found this site. I have been feeling it a little due to the holidays approaching and being single and low on funds as well as time to schedule a cuddle session with a pro. Usually when I feel lonely if it's in my budget I hire a pro (I have pretty much given up on finding a nearby interested enthusiast) and feel much better. If not then I may text some people, play a video game, listen to music, or something else.
It ebbs and flows but is always there.
On good days, weeks or months it is well covered by other things that hide it's presence but it can suddenly erupt back up to the surface....
Yes, pretty much all the time. Most of my friends have their own families so they don’t really have time outside of work and taking care of their family to really spend time with me. That’s why I kind of throw myself into the discussion threads especially the music one that happens to be my favorite. I’m sure most of you have noticed that I post a lot in the Music thread that and food and Video Games interest me a lot.
