Why do men show up when I search for "women only"?

I have my search filter set to "women only" but at least a few dudes always turn up in my search results. I don't want to visit their profiles because I don't even want to mildly suggest that I'm interested in them.

What are these guys thinking? Are they gay or bi men who think "what the heck, I'll finagle my profile so that straight men can see me--maybe I'll get lucky and find one that's particularly lonely and willing to stretch his parameters for a night." Or did they just inadvertently choose the wrong settings in their profile? BTW, I have nothing against gay or bi men--I just don't want to cuddle with them.

  • It happens to me too and the reason is they have set their gender to women so they show up in an only women’s search. Their motives? I don’t know but I just ignore them and move on.

  • It could be that they don't identify as a man and identify as female, or gender fluid then both would show up.

    It's the case for most sites as they aren't all inclusive with the new gender norms as they are now.

    This is not an topic I have a public opinion on, just stating what are the facts. More than 2 genders is not the norm now.

  • It’s probably based on how they identify. But it also could be by the algorithm tracker that shows you what you really want. It’s an internet agenda thing. They want YOU to cuddle men. JK.

  • Maybe they're trans.
    Just block them if it upsets you

    👍

  • I don't want to visit their profiles because I don't even want to mildly suggest that I'm interested in them.

    This is incredibly paranoid and weird. Maybe just don't be so insecure about this?

    FWIW I did a search within 50 miles of your location, with the filter set to women only, and indeed only got women in my results. So I'm going to gently suggest that this might be user error.

    @CuddleWho
    This is NOT incredibly paranoid and weird and has nothing to do with insecurity. Everyone decides what their boundaries are. I am 100% in agreement with @FitSmartcuddler. That is why I gave a thumbs up. Since when do have a say in someone's boundaries? You have no idea what is going on in another person's life. Just because you did search (which is none of your business and should not have done) doesn't give right to come to a conclusion. Your suggestion is not gentle. It is filled with pride and arrogance.

    @Zaxsis Not wanting to click on a man's profile out of concern it will seem like interest makes about as much sense as not wanting a man to enter your field of vision. It's beyond absurd. It's gay panic taken to a whole new level. This is a freely available web site. People click around on web sites. The majority of visitors to my profile are men who cuddle only women. Their visit means nothing.

    Doing a search most definitely is my business. This is, again, a web site which is freely available which is meant to be used by just about anyone. If you have a problem with people using the basic functions of this web site, you're going to have a bad time.

    I also have the right to come to conclusions based on the data in front of my face.

    Occasionally men appear in my women-only search results too.

    @FitSmartCuddler if you really want to know the answer to your question I suggest you send them a nice message asking them.

    Looking at somebody's profile doesn't mean anything and it certainly isn't 'expressing interest'. It's just .... looking at their profile. You're not obliged to explain yourself to anyone. I cuddle women and at least a third and maybe even half of the visitors to my profile are men who cuddle women. I visit other men's profiles all the time, for dozens of different reasons.

    @Zaxsis it's very common for people on the forum to do a search that replicates a search with interesting results reported by somebody else. I do it regularly and so does @CuddleWho.

  • FWIW - I have visited the profile of many men with absolutely no interest in cuddling them. It is often because of a comment they made in a forum or karma they left for someone I am interested in cuddling. Likewise, roughly half of the visitors to my profile are men and I have never thought twice about why a man was viewing my profile.

    I only cuddle women and on rare occasion I will see someone who appears to be a man in my search results (usually when I am traveling and searching other cities). I just ignore them and move on.

  • I’d like to play devils advocate here. One can ignore anything on the site; however, viewing a profile can also be taken as interest. One of the very reasons a pro can message someone first to solicit business is if that person has viewed their profile first(interest).

    True, but someone can also look at a profile and say, "Nah." Even if they are in the category of someone you might cuddle with, it doesn't indicate actual interest. Messaging would do that.

  • Then don't visit their profile. Why is this so hard?
    You create shit be upset about just so you can come to the forums to stir the pot.

    @CuddleWho 👍

    It is all part of the gay agenda. You know, the agenda that forces same gendered people to observe a profile with the given possibility that you might accidentally click on it . As foretold in the good book , this will complete the master plan and bring in the dawn of end of days . The 4 horsemen will ride their steeds , which are actually furries , and sprinkle glitter on the masses . All emceed by Sam Smith and a random drag queen from the local gay bar who insisted on staying even though the bar closed at 2am.

    Hmm I don’t think someone is interested in cuddling with me just because they visited my profile. Unless they sent a message shortly after, I’m more likely to assume they aren’t interested, if anything.

    @pmvines 😂😂😂

    The algorithm in question is a loyalty test. What have you done to make the algorithm question your loyalty to the heterosexual team? Did you slide down the spectrum one night when no one was looking?

    Note: sarcasm for those who only read everything as literal.

  • @pmvines honestly, that sounds like damn good time!!! Lol 😆 bring on the furries!!! 😆😆😆

    That’s not funny at all.

    Good for you. You took the bait and ran with it.

  • Some times its more fun to ridicule than help, right?
    @FitSmartCuddler
    To only show biological females who identify as females, hit the magnifying glass on the left of your pictures to open the search parameters. Towards the bottom of the screen select Show advanced filters in blue. The menu will expand to show extra parameters including gender. You will notice "Other" is selected, even though you didn't select it. Select other to open all the extra genders. Go to the bottom and select "Unselect All" and hit Continue in blue right next to it.

  • @11rollover of course! That's it!!

    Mystery solved.

    I just now set my search filter to "men only" but at least a few women turned up in my search results.

    What are these women thinking? Are they straight women who think "what the heck, I'll finagle my profile so that gay men can see me--maybe I'll get lucky and find one that's particularly lonely and willing to stretch his parameters for a night." Or did they just inadvertently choose the wrong settings in their profile?

    Actually, I did do some test searches. I filtered Gender Man, Cuddle Men, Orientation Gay and only men came up, but when I changed to Gender Man, Cuddle Men, Orientation Any, some women came up. The only way that makes sense to me is a misinterpretation of the form or that some who identify as men are trans.

  • No biggie if a search shows people you’re not interested in. Just don’t click on the ones you don’t want to and if you click on someone it’s okay. Not the end of the world. Happy searching for cuddle partners.

  • @Ironman294 @Rezz @Melancholy
    Appreciate all the funny comments by everyone. Yes, no big deal but if you're a man you should set your gender accordingly. and if you're a trans, there's an option for that as well.
    I actually recently cancelled a cuddle session last moment after realizing the person was not a woman. but I was too nice to report them for misleading and wasting my time.

  • How someone presents and how they identify varies. I love that CC gets this and is so good at accommodating the entire gender spectrum.

  • @homeboy 💯 Is nothing sacred?

  • @Sooson I agree with you, sometimes it's right not to report somebody even if they have broken the terms of service. On the very rare occasions when I've done it, I have had a productive conversation with the person about what happened, and what they are going to do differently next time. I have on occasion monitored their profile to see if the changes are made: if they are, hooray, if they aren't, then I report. (That last one has only happened once.)

    However, what bothers me in the case you mention is what happens next time? Sure, you're happy to live with the disappointment that you've felt and that's great. But is the person still out there potentially misleading others who may not be as robust as you? (For the avoidance of doubt, I'm making a point about Reporting and misleading people, not about trans folks.)

    @11rollover @CuddleDuncan When I filter Gender Man (with Other deselected), Cuddle Men, Orientation Any, people who present as women come up.

  • @PeopleLikeUs When one runs a search, they would like to know what you are, not what you think you are. c'mon. the search filters exist for a reason. There are plenty of gender options to choose from :)

    @CuddleDuncan appreciate the comments. to answer the question, yes, they are! nice person. called them after they agreed to meet and then realized.....but im a nice guy LOL
