@homeboy I believe all bans are permanent, unless the person affected is able to successfully appeal. Anyone who is banned has a right to appeal, although I do not think they succeed too often. Having bans be for only a set period of time would be a hassle for the site to keep track of.
@homeboy yes, people are able to appeal against a ban, and if they can show they have "seen the light" there is a small possibility that they will be given a second chance.
Few take advantage of the opportunity, and apparently most of those that do seem to think that a torrent of miss-spelled abuse is the way forward.
Short-term suspensions are used routinely, but I haven't heard of the mods using a long-term one as you suggest.
@WriterGF - Computers can easily keep track of it. Temporary bans on this site are called timeouts.
Pro tip. When a banned user starts an appeal with "eff you", they're not getting back on even if they claim to be a Pope. Not even Pope Pottymouth. Bless their face and have a nice day.
@Sideon - Somebody who is genuinely remorseful about what got them banned probably wouldn't be cussing out the person who has the decision of whether or not they will be allowed back.

Most bans are permanent. As I stated in another forum topic, at most 1-2 banned site members who appeal out of the 300-400 bans done every 2 weeks will have their ban changed to a severe warning with a note of getting a second chance... but at that point they are on real thin ice and the next rule violation will reinstate their ban.

I get the appeal process but I assume that's for a situation where there is a disagreement over whether a person did, in fact, act badly. Or wants to offer an excuse for it. I am asking about a person who did act badly, but 5 or 10 years later regrets the bad behavior and is a "new person." (Yes, I killed the guy, but I was 17 and in a gang at the time. I'm 45 now, got my degree here in prison, and see the errors of my old ways. Can I be released on parole?)
But I got my answer. It's pretty clear that banned means banned for life. No second chances.
And, BTW, I'm not suggesting that the policy be changed. I was just curious.
@OhioMike That's just the reports people make against one another and doesn't take into account what the system flags for review, but yes, there's about 150-200 bans/week though it can dip or spike outside that range week to week.
@Mike403 I don't know the numbers off-hand for that, but some people previously banned who decide to and end up finding a way back onto the site tend to make another 1-2 accounts before giving up, some times days or months apart. A very small handful of name I have on a watchlist as they are more problematic and don't give up trying to use the site.

Some use it to plead their case, submit evidence showing their innocence or prove the person reporting them fabricated evidence, or to give a sincere apology while accepting the disciplinary action or asking for another chance.... while others send:

How do I vouch for the character of someone who was just banned? I know she is not ban-worthy. I know it for a fact.
@AGnihon Short answer is you don't. You don't know why she was banned or what was presented or discovered to result in a ban, if she'd been warned, repeatedly warned, and so on. She can appeal if she wants to, but someone else vouching on the character of someone who was banned is never considered.
There is potential for second chances, e.g. for mild infractions for long standing bans, or compelling appeals. As @homeboy mentioned, it's possible as time trends on, that person has reflected on their mistake. We do categorise ban severity, and those with severe cases will not be applicable for reinstatement.
I saw where a members account was “paused”. Obviously, that is not a ban. Is this the “timeout” you are talking about?

@gary I hope in cases where the actions are borderline sexual assault or worse that those people are permanently banned to protect the innocent from having to look over their shoulders.
I was looking forward to seeing someone and now they are banned. She was on for maybe 2 weeks. I do have her number and wonder what she did. I could still see her because I have a number
@justwanthugs If a pro is paused, it's usually just a billing issue and once they resolve it, their account is unpaused. If someone is paused, that does not mean they are pending being banned, nor does it mean they have violated any rules of the site.
@senoj I would be very careful about meeting someone who was banned even if you have their contact info - especially if you were going to pay for a pro session. If you make arrangements off site and not through the booking system, then you have zero protections from the site covering you. It could be that the pro was scamming people - they are not allowed to give out contact info without a cuddle session being booked. The fact that you have her number, but hadn't booked points towards that she was trying to bypass the system and was breaking the rules.
People get banned for a lot of reasons. When they get banned, they usually just use a different email to get back on. They don't check peoples IDs on here. Look at other profiles in the same area and you will probably find her.
@pty1999 they do immediately ban repeats though, so if you're seeing someone you know was banned or otherwise duplicate profiles (which is against the rules), you should report it so mods can take care of it.

I wouldn't necessarily not get together with someone because a website banned them. If I understand the rules correctly, a single mod can unilaterally make any discipline decision. Think for yourself.

hey guys! Drizzy011 was banned for posting a bikini photo while she was on vacation. she didn't think was going to get her banned because she had a cover robe around her. I know dizzy personally and she is an amazing and bubbly person. im sure if she could she would've removed the photo immediately. I hope the cuddling them can take into deep consideration to un ban Drizzy011. with that being said wishing everyone lots of hugs and cuddles
@ilynikki - She can submit an appeal. There is sometimes more to the story than you're being told.
