I have had a couple of clients lie about their age by a year or two because they didn't want to be identified, but no one lied an extreme amount. I could understand why a female pro would lie due to the whole ageism thing, but clients really don't need to lie unless they are under 18.
I wish the site allowed us to skip the question altogether, or use a general descriptor that would allow for honesty without specificity. I liken that to the way the site allows people to describe their body type. If, instead, the site merely asked us to list our weight, I think many would be tempted to round down. Is that lying? By some standards, I’m sure it is. By another, is it anybody’s business what we weigh, exactly?
Idk.
Good thread though.
Im 34 and proud ive lived this long.
Anyone who lies about thier age shouldnt be trusted
Your age is nobody else’s business. Your weight and your height and your race is nobody else’s business. If someone asks you those things you can answer if you want. If you don’t and the person asking you can’t handle that, they can go their own way. I’d rather these sites made all of this stuff optional. Share what you want about yourself. Don’t force people to give out information they would rather not. If you make someone give information they would rather not give, they have a right to lie about it.
@wrench
Well, maybe. Joseph Stalin was born on December 18, 1878, and changed the date to December 21, 1879.
More important than your actual age is the age you look like and the age you feel like and the age you identify with. If people can identify with a different gender than people can identify with a different age.
@homeboy And if Joseph Stalin did it then it’s an OK thing to do.
@MonkeyNeedsAHug and @dave31415 I agree that the age shouldn’t be included in profiles. This isn’t a dating site and really shouldn’t be relevant.
I think it's utterly silly that people act like lying about your age is some terrible thing. It's platonic cuddling. It would matter if you were getting married or dating someone etc. But cuddling ? Who cares if you're 36 or 40. If you care that much then I question your motives for finding people here. .
My actual age is 53. But I also feel that is really not a decent indicator of who I am.
I have a 100 year old soul, at least one 80 year old knee, my sense of 'I'll try it' is perpetually at about 22 and I am still the 8 year old horse crazy girl at heart.
People that have seen comparison photos of me 29 years apart say they really don't see much of a difference.
Age is not a thing. Maturity is.
@WiserGuy3000 Don't worry I'd still cuddle you. Haha. I'm fine being a little old myself. My back isn't. Cracks like a glow stick. LOL.
@stormydaycuddle well since you cuddled me at 48, I have to say I'd be insulted if two years later you said "50 -- nah, forget it." :smiling
Besides, your age is Protected Health Information.
@Melancholy I would like to change my age to 36 plz
I’m with you on this one @dave31415 I’ve been 29 for decades. Still learning, still growing up.
No, @MexicanDonkey , it is not ok to out someone's true age on here unless it's your own. If you have any issue with anyone on here, then block and don't tag or interact with them. Thanks. -Sid
I only lied about my age as a child, i take that back i lie about my age now because i always learned rounding is fair game. I say that as a man, that doesn’t appear to be the age you think.
Never had any reason to lie about mine. When my dad turned 50, he announced that was it, he was stopping there, and he was 50 for the next 17 years.
The white in my beard and ache in my joints make it clearly obvious that I am not a young man anymore. But I still have friends, cuddle buddies, and sex partners of all ages. The people who matter to me give zero shits about my chronological age .
Simple answer...most female profiles say their preferred age range to cuddle with is 21-40. Us 50+ men need cuddles too!
Seriously, do a search with 40-50 as the lower limit.
@Soft_Hug84 being deceptive with the goal of getting a person to do something that is counter to their boundaries in order to fulfill your own personal needs is not really the stand up thing to do or good way to be. It is one thing to lie about your age for vanity reasons. It is another to lie in order to make someome unknowingly do something that they have stated they do not wish to do.
@Soft_Hug84 - Why did you choose to bother to point out that men in your age range need cuddles. Surely, you must be aware that you won't be 50+ forever. We 80+ men still need cuddles, and they're mighty hard to find.
At my big age i think some of the younger people think experienced people want to be around them soooooo bad. You ever try to spin that year reel like you’re at the wheel of fortune? I give it one spin and you get what you get. 😉
I used to joke about saying I was older so people would think I look really good for my age, but really, I've never hidden how old I am. I'm 44 now which means younger people think I'm old and older people think I'm still young 🤷♀️ My friends range from 20s to 70s. It's all about perspective and the people you connect with.
@MDW I'm dying here. 🤣😂
I lie about my age, but I’m honest about it!
I thought women invented lying about their age.
