@stormydaycuddle Professional standards. Expectations. Etiquette. Those who have chosen this at the “Pro” level ought to follow professional standards. This includes timely replies to correspondence. Any professional level job “out in the world” would include an expected, spoken or unspoken rule for all employees to not let their inbox pile up. Otherwise, they risk losing said position. Now, this site, I get it, isn’t per se a normal type of job. There’s no clock in, no HR department, or middle managers as task masters. However, if pro cuddlers are to continue insisting on the highest levels of respect, or deference professionally; it’s the least that can be asked of them to not let the inbox pile up. There will always be the rightful expectation to treat each other with human to human kindness but that’s not the same as professional courtesies. I get where you are coming from, and you have a excellent point. People have lives to live. However, in a “regular” career position, that reason only flies so far with the boss until the exit papers get handed down. Want the title, gotta act the part.
@teddybear888 not everyone replies to everything in any industry. I'm not saying don't respect people. Feelings are valid. I'm saying the amount of aggression that comes with the entitlement on this site is insane. If you don't see it as entitlement that's up to you. Respect goes both ways. "Regular" careers do not demand responses. That is a misnomer that has been pushed around endlessly. As for pros demanding a level of respect in the very essence of your statement you've already demeaned us. Edit: taking out the last sass because it was a little overboard. Pros aren't different than anyone else in this world. Demanding respect? Yeah, duh. I cannot even right now. Can't even. I WISH I could forward you 1/2 of the messages I get.... Seeing red and I'm sorry teddy but we deserve just as much respect as any other profession. Not replying to predatory, time wasting, horrible emails is one way I respect myself. And the idea everyone here sends the most upstanding messages worthy of reply is ridiculous. I will say your optimism does make me think you send appropriate messages for what it's worth. Still a little peeved by the whole topic but I can see how you'd think that everyone sends messages to us that are equally as professional as they expect in return.
@stormydaycuddle In all fairness & in continuity of my comparison I’m brought back to the episodes of West Wing where Agent Butterfield took over CJ’s email. Intercepting all correspondence. Why? Cause somebody chose to send less than professional messages to her.
It goes both ways. Whatever professionalism we expect of you, we ought to show ourselves. Nobody should have to put up with harassment, inappropriateness, or just downright shady. I can’t imagine what your inbox is like.

A keyword search for the forums. Every single other forum I have participated in since the early 00s has had this feature, not quite sure why it isn't here. It really, really is a pain to try to slog through dozens of pages of multiple threads with tangents to try to find what you are looking for when a quick search could send you straight to the thread or comment you are looking for. If this feature were here, I could have searched to see if my next suggestion had already been suggested
Alt text for images (especially in profiles). I've noticed some pros are using awesome graphics in their profiles to give more detailed info on their policies, which is a fantastic visual way to not clutter up the body of their profile with giant walls of text. However - people who are visually impaired and use screen readers are going to be SOL and will miss out on all that info without the ability to copy and paste those details into alt text. Accessibility should be the norm by now, especially in a community like this one.
@cuddlefaery - Doesn't a search feature already exist? or is it a different type of search you're looking for? Hint: If you put your search inside parentheses, it will search for text exactly as you put it.

Ability to sort through/filter favorites by last online, distance, age, pro or not. Etc.
Turn off the forum for a week once a month.

Ok, interesting. Using the two links provided by @SunsetSnuggles and @Charlie_Bear did give me a search box, but if I just clicked on the forums button and navigated to General tab myself it wasn't there 🤦🏻♀️. Cleared my cache, signed back in, now it's there under the drafts. Maybe my magnification screwed it up at some point? Who knows. Thanks for the assistance, y'all 🙏
Anywho, did search for "alt text" and mine was only mention - so yeah... We need that.
And maybe the search bar to be at or near the top instead of the bottom, especially on mobile 😅
You should be able to search within the boundaries of a town, city, state or any region instead of within a radius.
Not sure if this is already covered / discussed, so apologies if its a repeat. I always use this site on my phone. While initiating a message to someone from my friends list, I go to my friend list and scroll through to find them. The remove button is on the right side of the screen and so far, I accidentally removed 2 of my friends. So my suggestion is, either swap the position of message and remove buttons (which might not be a good user experience for left handed members) OR ask for confirmation “Do you really want to remove from your friends list”

I'm fairly new to this site, and have read through this particular thread over time. There have been good suggestions and it seems there have been many things made better throughout the years! One thing I would ask is that when visiting or "pulling up" a profile for a pro that the verbiage to contact that person was different. At this time it states "request to book" This makes it seem as if the only initial contact should be to book, but most pros (including me) think it should be for someone to message without requesting to book right away. In fact I would MUCH rather get a hello message before a booking request
