Picture request

[Deleted User]Silvana (deleted user)

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone has a Good Friday Jr. haha.

Cuddlers, how do you feel when a pro ask for a picture request? Your honesty would be greatly appreciated.

This is something that I always do, specially when there is no profile picture. The picture is for safety purposes and is kept confidential between my confidant and I. How the person looks has nothing to do with booking the session, I believe everyone deserves to cuddle🫶; I won't ghost you (as I've seen on the forum, pro's tend to do).

I've made it a "policy" that in order to book you must send a picture before we move forward with logistics. However, most cuddlers stop responding or completely ignore my request and keep the conversation going. This is why I am on here wanting to hear cuddlers feedback on this matter. Thanks everyone, looking forward to hearing your responses! 😊

What you are asking for is perfectly reasonable.

  • It's pretty standard procedure. If they won't send a photo it's a bit of a red flag - only way I'd bypass it is if they'd allow me to take a screenshot during our video call prior to meeting. I need some form of photo that can be used to verify I'm meeting the same person in-person, and for my safety contact to give to authorities in the event something goes wrong.

Im torn on the picture thing. Obviously, I prefer to see one as well before I meet, but I’m sure some people may feel insecure about their looks and afraid it will ruin their chance of booking. And of course, I can also understand why most people expect one. It’s also very easy to send fake and/or old pictures so at the end of the day you are still rolling the dice.

  • Its Np

  • Asking for a picture sound like a reasonable request.

  • "I've made it a "policy" that in order to book you must send a picture before we move forward with logistics. However, most cuddlers stop responding or completely ignore my request and keep the conversation going."

Stick to your boundaries. Anyone who doesn't want to respect them does not get to enjoy your presence and the conversation is over. It's not up for debate. You are smart to be watching out for your own safety, don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I have very firm boundaries and have met several good men through this site. All of them encouraged me to stick to those boundaries. Anyone who tries to push your boundaries is likely up to no good.

  • I wouldn’t meet one-on-one with anyone from the internet that knows what I look like but requires themselves to remain anonymous.

  • I’ve been on this site for almost 10 years and longer for dating sites. One of the most important key features is having a profile picture. I have read so many comments about trust in regards to not having a picture. It’s one of the first things I do on any social media site is have a picture to connect with.

Showing the respect of being asked, I do not see a problem with it. This goes a step further than most social media sites and regards that you will be meeting with the person. I can understand somebody wanting to keep their anonymity in general, but not when it comes time to meet up.

  • I think having a profile picture should be standard.. but I also respect if someone wants to refrain from having one, whether it be out of self-confidence or privacy.

That being said, it’s up to the professional to decide whether or not to book the session. Safety is the top priority for both the professional and the client, so ultimately the decision should be based on what you consider to be safe and comfortable with. Having strict boundaries is important in this field.

  • It’s a perfectly reasonable request. It’s a shame that so many cuddlers that have tried to book with me don’t want to send one.

I’ve gotten a lot of excuses as to “why not”, but they fail to see it from my point of view. It’s 100% about safety when I ask for one prior to meeting.

  • What do you think about someone requesting your facebook?..i have plenty of pictures up of myself that one would not need access to that..i had to decline the cuddle because i refused to give him that information..he said he didnt know if i was a murderer 🤪

  • How many of those refusing to send a photo would be contacting the Pro or Enthusiast if they hadn’t seen her picture first? Completely illogical and a red flag. They could be time wasters who want to only chat and never book. Those hide behind anonymity, CC isn’t the place for them.
There also could be a few who are very insecure due to past events and it takes time for them to feel safe enough to reveal themselves. But they need to express that in a first message. In that case I will have a conversation to learn more but I’m not their Counselor and my cuddle therapy is eventually in person.
I’ve known someone who didn’t want to share his picture. One of those James Bond kind of guys. So I met him at Starbucks. He eventually became a regular.

  • Off-site communication (like Facebook or other social media) is not allowed between Pro and Client per TOS until after booking and is then still discouraged as mods cannot monitor communication off-site. I would not ever share real Phone number or private social media with clients. If you want to make business accounts just for cuddling that's different. Use a texting app for phone numbers as well - don't give out your private number to random strangers on the internet.

  • @cuddlefaery i always try to schedule before exchanging info..and in that case he did schedule but i cancelled it once he requested my Facebook, i refused to give it so i cancelled the session.I actually just looked up and got a private number..i have been using my real number this whole time..if anyone needs a number google does offer one.

  • @Fairygoat yes, Google Voice is usually the easiest, but you can only attach your real number to one GVoice number so if you're already using one for say other work, there are apps for doing more. There's some threads in the Pros only forums that are helpful, or feel free to shoot me a message if you need some tech help as I've been doing the multiple side gig game a long time 😊

  • Not a problem and should be encouraged.

  • I have considerable experience in meeting people from the internet, I've been doing it for years in various contexts. In the early days we never had photos, and it was marvellous when it became a universally accessible technology. It was a big and important change.

Ignoring your request for a photo is boundary-pushing and is therefore borderline reportable. I would guess that almost all of the ones who ghost you are looking for sexual services, and are therefore also borderline reportable. (Sex workers do not usually require photos.) Entering into a conversation about why they find it difficult is fair enough, some people are genuinely concerned about it.

As a general rule I don't meet people without a photo. It's one of my primary safety protocols. And I'm a man and therefore at less physical risk.

Never give your social media details to somebody you haven't met. And have nothing to do with anybody who asks for them, other than to consider reporting them. Creeps and weirdos will use your facebook photos for things you can't even imagine.

Whenever anyone requires a picture of me, no matter what the relationship dynamics, I know that the relationship is over.

    I never bother sending one.

I simply say, “Imagine that I am even less attractive than your worst fears. I wish you all the best. Please do not contact me again.”

  • I already have an absurd amount of pics on my profile.

  • It's np

  • @pmvines I know like right? ONLY 15 pics ? Cmon ! 😊

  • I don’t ever respond to messages of those without a profile picture. 🤧

@Cuddle_RN Well Said. Your page is a Godsend
