Long shot I’m sure but, Are there any free cuddle buddies?

Curious as to if there are any cuddly buddies that for free. Some of us don’t have much left with life beating us down, support having us walking funny on pay days. And just generally being alone. It would be nice to just have that gentle warmth from a good cuddle. I’d do it to help if I could for sure. But life’s kicked me a few times to hard and can’t drive atm.. anyone else feel this way..

@Tmiles87 Rest assured that you are not alone in that feeling. The site holds the promise of finding a cuddle partner in your area where you can both share your need for a platonic connection without money changing hands. But the reality for many guys is quite often feeling unwanted the majority of the time. There are enthusiasts on here, but they may not be in your local area.
If there are local enthusiasts,to make a connection more likely, you need to make your profile as appealing as possible while still being honest, and be somewhat active on the forums to let people know what your personality is like.

It took several months of messaging new accounts before I found my first cuddle buddy on here.

It is possible, but I don’t know when. Lots of flakes and ghosts for me along the way. But a few great connections have been formed. One cuddler told me that my forum posts were a way of vetting me that put me ahead of others.

probably not. It's just a case of supply and demand. There are a handful of enthusiasts in my area, but few of them actually replied to me at all, and I've not cuddled with any of them.

If you are willing to cuddle with another man your chances would mostly likely increase.

@sunnysideup Thank you for being an example of the benefits of patience and persistance. Though, if your need for intimacy was keenly felt, what you did to maintain yourself while you waited for results.

@1_teddybear Hiring professionals definitely helped when I was feeling really down, but I understand not everybody can afford this. Maybe have a treat yourself day? Order your favorite comfort food and binge watch an great show and tell people you’re busy that weekend if you can.

Kind of how women need thick skin to wade through a barrage of innaproproate requests, it would help the guys if the repeated rejection didn’t affect our psyches. Sadly, it does for me, but one found ways to engage that are less taxing. Not easy, but doable. Some cuddlers, even some male cuddlers, seem to find buddies quickly and frequently but that’s not most of us. @CuddleDuncan guide is helpful.

Since cuddling is kind of niche, if you’re not near a larger population area it’s going to be extra hard to find a cuddle buddy. A long distance enthusiast or professional may be the only feasible way to find a cuddle buddy if this is your situation.

  • Pro's charge (they have a pink Pro tag at the top of their profiles), while enthusiasts like you and me, are free. 😊

Best of luck finding someone to connect with in your area! Always check the Last Online date in someone's profile before messaging them, in case they aren't active.

Wasn’t this site originally made up mostly of enthusiasts? It seems like it’s drifted steadily towards being a de facto pro site (at least for men seeking to cuddle with women). That’s not a normative statement but an observation of the site itself.

  • Even as an enthusiast I can’t find anyone who doesn’t flake! It’s been such a waste of time lol

  • @Tmiles87 Welcome to the site!!!! 😊😊😊

There are LOTS of "enthusiasts" out there in the cuddle verse. I know its not always easy to find someone that meets all of your criterion of course and that makes it a bit challenging.

The forums have a LOT of information and a plethora of opinions and experiences. You'll find any number of people who share your perspective and plenty who have an opposite opinion.

@sunnysideup nailed it.... patience and persistence and an openness to new adventures. Its absolutely true that there are a greater number of males on the site compared to women, but you'll also find lots of ways to connect with lovely people even if they're not in your range of "cuddleable" peeps.

(For example.... you have an age range of 25-40 which means I wouldn't try to message with you in order to honor your boundaries. But your "uni-saurous" description made me smile.)

Platonic touch has a way of figuring itself out.... VERY differently than dating or finding a partner does. But I wish you all of the good luck and as always.... "May the Cuddle Gods Be EVER In Your Favor!!"

(Another great thing to look at in my opinion is a cuddle party. Quite a few people that are available for snuggles and usually a very low price. But they also might not fit your criteria.... you know what you need and that's the first step.)

  • @MrMarkAndrew yes, this site started out as an enthusiast site only. My understanding is that it become so affected by undercover professionals that the only realistic solution was to embrace professional cuddling.

@sunnysideup Great observations and advice! I especially liked your analogy. I’m also new as an enthusiast in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area. Personally I’m in the process of scheduling with a pro while anticipating it will take time to find a good matching enthusiast.

  • I can attest to the fact that there are. I found one, although it took me over a year of working at it. Don't forget, you till be one of 20 (or more) men vying for the attention of every woman.

If you want to have any chance at all of "winning the lottery," your profile must give her a reason to choose you instead of one of the 20+ men who have also sent messages to her. Your profile should, in depth, tell her who you are. Read the profiles of every man who has posted to this thread, and then compare yours. Simply telling a woman that you're rare, won't do much to attract her.

There may not be many (if any at all) in Wooster, but there should be quite a few in Akron.

  • @GreatHornedOwl I’ve also noticed more than one account in my area say something to the affect of “not currently looking for new cuddlers because I’ve found enough” or being really picky about being really close (30 miles being too far for many)

The number discrepancy is what it is sadly. We can either choose to leave this site or stay with and and try. I’ve stuck by and tried for a bit, but I was able to try for so long because I’ve learned not to expect too much and had other ways to get by like professionals and many “me” days.

  • I hope you find partners, Tmiles87. I've only found one, and he's awesome! (Yay @SuperManCuddles !!) Even though I live near a gigantic big city. I think the theory of Cuddlecomfort -- finding others who genuinely want to cuddle and get the endorphins and human connection that close physical (but not sexual) touch provides -- is a lot better than the practical application for most of us.

  • @sunnysideup - Wishing and hoping, won't cut it. We must also write a profile that give women a reason to select us. Yours does. The OP's most certainly does not.

Speaking of your profile, I love Preying Mantises, and have had several as pets, who learned to eat from my hand. However, have you considered that your photo of one might remind a woman that she has, at least some, fear of becoming prey, every time she meets with a strange man?

  • @GreatHornedOwl I like @sunnysideup and his profile. One reason I was drawn to him was because of the preying mantis. Original, interesting and showed his interest in nature and detail. If I lived close enough I would cuddle him.

  • @GreatHornedOwl Hmm, good point. It’s possible it may be off putting to some women.

    @achetocuddle Thank you, it’s a shame we aren’t closer!

  • @GreatHornedOwl I like the picture of the bug; tells me @sunnysideup is into nature/wildlife, like I am, and is a tender soul who would rather take a picture than smash it! 🙂

  • @Tbearsmall Awe!!! ❤️Thank you! Happy that we connected and became cuddle buddies too!!!🤗🥰We shared lots of snuggles!!! @Tmiles87 Yes, it’s possible to find female enthusiast to cuddle (as I have cuddled many), it requires activity (messaging many prospects, time and patience.

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

@SuperManCuddles I'm sure it can't hurt to also be a huge powerful strapping young man that looks like a human teddy bear either :)

  • @1_teddybear I've had the fantastic pleasure of cuddling him, and just so you know, I'd cuddle you just as fast! 😊

    ~ Sunset Snuggles

  • @achetocuddle & @SunsetSnuggles - As I said, I love Preying Mantises. They are my favorite insect. I was merely suggesting that its name, could have bad connotations for some women. A photo of virtually any other insect would tell the same story of being into nature & wildlife. Perhaps, something like this might be better.

  • @GreatHornedOwl Is that a katydid?

    ~ Sunset Snuggles

  • @SunsetSnuggles - It is a Katydid, sitting on my wife's hand. It was the closest relative of a Preying that I have a photo of. They are both in the order Orthoptera, which also includes grasshoppers, crickets, and roaches.

  • @GreatHornedOwl So beautiful! I would be terrified to hold it, though! 🤣

    ~ Sunset Snuggles

  • edited April 2023

@SunsetSnuggles - Actually, they are quite docile. Even a harmless little grasshopper would be more likely to nip you. Did you notice how similar its face is to the face of a grasshopper?

If you would really be afraid to hold it, then try this instead. The first one is an Indigo snake. The second is a young Boa Constrictor
