Front: Free Cuddles!
Back: Psych!
@1_teddybear - The logo on the website is blue. I tried printing it on a blue band, but it didn't look good. I have t-shirts in green, brown, black, and blue. The images don't seem to suffer.
@CharlesInWI Your shirts all seem to have a negative association with cuddling unless I am reading them wrong.
@EarthlyAngel003 While searching for shirts I came across this one which immediately reminded me of you 😂
i definitely agree with the @CuddlelessinLB K.I.S.S (keep it simple, stupid!) approach
@GreatHornedOwl I am a fan of the keep it simple approach as well. I would want a black tee shirt with just the color logo on the front and the back, no picture. Perhaps we can collaborate on the logo image.
I agree with not having a picture
I don't see any reason that it couldn't be offered with a choice of pictures, or with just the logo, and no picture at all. Different people have different tastes.
I'm also a fan of minimalism with this type of thing. I.e. t-shirts with just a logo and t-shirts with a logo and tag line.
Yeah I personally think if it is using the cuddle comfort branding, no images would be best. Other text along with an image would be cute/funny though.
Y'all, unless the site officially condones the use of their branding or sells their own shirts - using their logo or name on products even handmade is copyright infringements, not to mention just dick move.
I know we all have good intentions here, but we need to pump the breaks a bit, especially on the making our own designs bit, until we get permission from the people who own the site and company content.
If they don't want the site reputation tarnished by association of members having accounts on adult sites, I highly doubt they'll give the ok on everyone and their mother making nebulous quality graphics to slap on to products to associate with their name and granting usage rights to all these design sites that y'all are uploading to.
Tl;Dr all of y'all are using, or discussing how to use, the CC name, logo, and other copyrighted materials against TOS in this thread.
I know many people wouldn't like it, but I would wear one that had the Cuddle Comfort logo on the front and my link on the back
until we get permission from the people who own the site and company content.
👋

Yes, those are the base layer terms which are useful to protect against a million hypotheticals.
In regards to this particular subject, I'm confirming it's fine with consideration of the caveats I mentioned earlier.
@cuddlefaery That’s why I had summoned @Mark here since it’s his permission one would need to seek, which he has responded to above.
@Mark hadn't seen the response when I went to go copy the TOS 😂
Fwiw, the comment reads a bit more like a personal opinion than official permission for folks to use the CC logo, name, branding, etc. What's the verdict on folks including their profile link, a la what @Lisa123 said?
@Charlie_Bear from personal experience working with brands on merchandising, even just allowing free reign of text is a massively slippery slope 😬 things like Tshirts, far more than people having other accounts, come across as speaking for the company even if the company didn't make them. So if someone made an incredibly offensive T-shirt that would do far more damage because it would have the CC logo on it.
@cuddlefaery Yeah I was just responding to your earlier comment (which I should have quoted) about pumping the breaks on the discussion since Mark had already previously chimed in on so he was already aware of the thread.
Fwiw, the comment reads a bit more like a personal opinion than official permission
I understand.
What's the verdict on folks including their profile link, a la what @Lisa123 said?
Perfectly fine.
come across as speaking for the company even if the company didn't make them
The community is the core of this website. If you guys go out there wearing Cuddle Comfort t-shirts, you're doing all of us a favour by spreading the word. If someone wore a t-shirt with 'Reddit' on the front, I wouldn't assume they were speaking officially for the website but the community? Yes, representing a part of the community.
So if someone made an incredibly offensive T-shirt
That's where my caveat came in. The brand can be used in this way as long as it's not in a way that could clearly damage our image. I trust the community are reasonable enough to understand roughly where that line is.
@Lisa123 Here is my attempt at what I think you would want.
Very nice 👍
Like cuddlefaery, I think this could be a slippery slope.
I wasn’t attempting to actually print out any shirts with the site logo and start selling them on Etsy, I just went into Canva and threw something together quickly because I’m a visual person and wanted to show people something that I would wear IF the owners of the site decided to create merch.
That’s all. I don’t have the time nor the patience to take on an illegal t-shirt business.
Sheesh.
@Charlie_Bear I love that!! 👏🏽
@CuddlelessinLB Haha yep I did that in canva as well
@CuddlelessinLB Well you are finding out quick that some people take things on the forums way too seriously. This is one example, and in the live connection thread you met one of our Eeyore members who just wants everyone to be as miserable as they are. I totally get the Sheesh part. This forum is full of Sheesh people. We have those that agree with everything while never proffering an opinion or original thought, we have the clueless who would argue why something they do is not sexist after 100 people tell them why it is, and those that complain about threads on the threads they complain about without thinking of just not commenting at all because the world does not revolve around them. Sheesh, sheesh and double sheesh, 🤣🤣🤣.
I still remain the curmudgeon under the bridge who enthusiastically states that I think it's odd to want to have clothing apparel for a website. Don't see that with FetLife, OK Cupid, or Facebook. Cuddling is neat so I get having a shirt that is cuddle related but a CC shirt is weird to me . I can see that I am obviously outnumbered in this but I stand by my irkness , and challenge you all to a stare off , which I will likely lose as well because prolonged eye contact gives me the heebie jeebies
@pmvines I agree but I don’t really care if everyone else wants one. To each his own and if it makes someone happy, so be it.
I never got into fanny packs but several people wore those fashion faux pas around anyway. Wearing one would make me miserable, and others loved it. It’s more about knowing yourself and what makes you happy.
@pmvines
Just for you:
@CuddlelessinLB 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I changed my mind—I want that.
