@Jillybear87 It's a perfect name, very inviting!
I’m originally from down south and I used to have the thickest sweetest southern gal accent 😍 before moving to Illinois 10+ yrs ago, along those same lines I’ve always been a naturally kind-hearted and compassionate person that would offer help to anyone in need since the moment I could speak.
My mother would take me to work with her often as a child where I would run around from different sections of the nursing home with her to spoon feed 🥄 old people, wipe their faces and play small games with them to pass time and distract them from the fact that their own families never came to visit or see the majority of them there once they got admitted. So my nickname at the nursing home was “doll/sugar doll” the seniors and staff would greet me each day saying “good morning ☀️ sugar doll.” I loved candy so some of the elders there would save up sweets all week just to greet me in the morning with a candy bar that I liked or most commonly they would buy me boxes 📦 of Fannie May chocolates 🍫 that I would go nuts for before my mom stole half of the box 😥🤣
So being southern and as sweet/adorable as a doll is what dubbed my username for C.C. (and most of apps that I use) SouthernDoll 😃
I’m sure usernames are different for each user as well as each users purpose for being here bcus unfortunately I’ve seen more than a fair share of sexual/sex related usernames and they are typically the ones I do not respond to 😂 it’s utterly mind boggling how many clients on here ignore the fact that this is a PLATONIC site/service 🫠 but thats a rant for another day and time. Thankfully majority of cuddle lovers here who understand it’s completely platonic cuddling 👍🏾 have cute and fun usernames to express what type of cuddling they enjoy (i.e. CuddlePups, HealingHugs or CuddleBunnies🐰) and then others who’s username describes themselves or their immediate interests they are the ones who make being a pro here at C.C. worth being a pro !
If mine isn't self-explanatory, then I truly suck at usernames.
@w8ed_blanket Your name is obvious, especially to those for whom that is a favorite position.
@TxTom The funny thing is I never knew that was the name of a cuddling position until I joined this site. And apparently it's a cuddling position I have been & love doing to others without realizing it. Full circle.
Mine is an aviation term referring to the A380.
Most would automatically conclude it’s from my fave Billy Joel song, All About Soul: “There are people who have lost Every trace of human kindness There are many who have fallen There are some who still survive“
Some know otherwise. 😉
Just an alternate spelling 🧚
@OhioMike
Much the same.
I’m Charles, and I am in Wisconsin.
I was CharlesThePoet, but that seemed grandiose. Then I was CharlesTheLame, but that seemed too cruel.
Even though both were true.
So I went with locale.
Once upon a time I was a Walking Dead (TV show) fan. (I bailed after they killed off Glenn.) Currently I do a lot of walking for health reasons so it really refers more to that. The 99 comes from the Beatles song "One after 909" which I tend to misremember as 99.
I chose my UN because I'll soon be starting the process of changing my name. Rowan is the name I go by but it's not legally my name yet.
So, remember the film ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ about the Seal T6 raid on the OBL compound in Pakistan?
Yeah. I chose this name as a homage to the film and the work of the brilliant and always memorable Jessica Chastain, who I would definitely cuddle, providing she wasn’t instantly repelled by the idea.
What a trip this was, reading about people who have left the site, finding out about some who've changed their names, and learning the backstory of some of my close friends!! 😄
I originally tried to call myself SnuggleMeCuddles; a play on the phrase "shiver me timbers". But the site doesn't limit the characters in the username field, despite there being a cutoff in reality... So once I created my account, it simply said "SnuggleMeCuddle", which definitely didn't make sense...not that anyone would have gotten the original intent, anyway. 😆 I had to think fast.
I immediately changed it to SunsetSnuggles, because I love sunsets, and spent a few years photographing them nightly. 📷 Also because snuggling at sunset sounded particularly peaceful and lovely. 🌄

The animal- just because.
And logical 6 in binary....just because.
It's a test to see who realizes what it is, who doesn't realize, and then who even pays attention or cares to bring it up.
I like eating and making soup. Minestrone happens to be my favorite soup. Yes, I make soup for cuddlers.
It's a simple form of science to create my username.
I went to my first public pagan ritual in 1999. One of the steps was naming yourself to the universe with your magickal name. I wanted to be able to do this. The next time I worked with my spirit guides, I got the image of a brown bear on a revolving dais. I was told The Brown Bear.
So I used that the next time I went. No one called me John again after that. They would call me Bear.
Mine is my first and middle name with a y in the middle. only when I was making my profile i accidentally misspelled the end - with ain rather then ian as i intended. Lame and unoriginal I know but I am not clever - as so many seem to be.
@Platypus0110 i just discovered that we have a pair of platypus in the San Diego wild animal park which I think is so awesome. They are one of my favorite animals - and the binary thing- I would not have known that 😅
@jillyain Whaat, no, I'd love to see them! 🫨
@zerolight40 Just saw zero dark thirty for the first time a few weeks ago. badass movie. any other good movies about the same subject?
@Minestrone101 - Could try: 'Green Zone' but that's about Iraq. If you want one about Afghanistan the best thing, if you like documentaries, is 'Bitter Lake' by Adam Curtis. Or, 'Whiskey Tango Foxtrot' is another good one around that era. 😊
@zerolight40 I just saw outpost on Netflix which takes place in Afghanistan. that was good. yeah specifically about bin laden fascinates me. thanks for the recs.
My hair is pink, most people in my life call me Pink... And I'm soft and squishy like a life-size squishmallow. 🤷♀️🤣 I also make damn good marshmallows, especially the burbon, chai, and caraway-chocolate ones.
I love foxes....and also the red hair thing 😎🦊💕💗
Someone mentioned chocolate?
my user name is my first and middle name, respectively.
nothing more than that.
Mine denotes a new "chapter" in my life.
@jillyain
I didn't know there was a public live display of platypi anywhere. That's amazing. 😀
Nope, not too many people know the binary number system. But see what we did here? I learned you are interested in new things, are an animal person and not a technology person, and that gives me a good base to build a conversation on. 😉
What's in a name? A lot. I have even gone as far as having my real first and last name origins discovered, last name going back 1000 years. I think all people should do that. I have proven a link between names and behavior. It's pretty fascinating. - And that totally correlates to this thread which could spin deep intellectual conversation for a long, long time.
My friends say I'm full of tricks so the name Trixster.
At some point, around college, during the 90s, one of my first cars was a used, light blue 1989 Chevrolet Caprice (a 4-door sedan). But I felt the username "89chevrolet" would make folks immediately picture an 80s Chevy truck--not a sedan.
Folks would sometimes compliment the smooth ride my car gave and say it drove like a Cadillac. So, 89cadillac. Also, when folks think of Cadillacs they first think of sedans, not trucks...
