We celebrate the birth of our nation by blowing sh*t up.
f*ck, yeah!
Most of it is made in China. So there is that…lol.
Fireworks were invented in China. What better way than yet again appropriating someone else’s stuff and calling it American. We learned well from the Brits.
Well, the birth of our nation started with blowing sh*t up. And fireworks are fun!! Almost as much fun as sending 105mm rounds downrange into busted up trucks.
@Jubal
It's the bombs bursting in air that gave proof through the night that our flag was still there, right?
Fireworks are cool! But those flying drones also look really great, and no smoke or people losing fingers. Mix both of them for a good time.
In 1814. Correct. Not in 1776.

They were used in the first celebration on July 4, 1777
@BoomerSpooner i wouldn’t say it’s appropriation because the Chinese make them for us, they largely don’t use them. It’s probably only merican culture to blow shit up. Also merican to not want the risk or cost to make the stuff.
@BoomerSpooner I know. They tried celebrating with parades, cookouts, signing important documents and shooting at German mercenaries, but it didn't catch on.
