Does anyone work a side hustle just to pay for professional cuddling?

There was a thread the other day about having a monthly cuddling budget. This one is if you work any odd jobs to make the money. I do Grubhub on the weekends. The food delivery apps have extreme flexibility as in there is no schedule. I can work it whenever I need the money. I make between $100-160 in 6 hours. Half of the money goes away for taxes, gas, and car maintenance so I profit between $50-80 of that. Not great to live off of, but good enough for a side hustle to make some extra cash.

  • @Mike403 I LOVE that you added a results of the poll option. Often times I don’t want to vote. ☺️☺️☺️😎😎😎

  • Damn ... I saw the thread title and was about to write "yes some people do" meaning you but then ...

You also have to tell your car insurance provider if you are using your car to make money. Mine increased my premium by $25 per month when I told them.

Interestingly enough I’ve had 3 people tell me about side jobs they did to book cuddling sessions w/me and other Pro’s. I was so intrigued with how much cuddling meant to these individuals that they would add an additional line of work to afford cuddling, their zeal like attitude just makes me happy to be able to be a part of their healing and comfort that they’d open up so much during our sessions.

One of them took a side gig as a grocery bagger on the weekends, another was doing Dj gigs every summer and the last one drove for Uber/Lyft to pay for cuddling.

    • Happy Cuddling ☺️ -
  • I sing on street corners and people pay me to shut up. It's extremely lucrative. 🥴

...Side note though, in Vegas I met a guy on Fremont Street who charges $5 a pop to let people kick him in the 🥜 as hard as they want. I asked him if it was a fetish and he looked me dead in the eye and said, "This is how I feed my family." 😶

  • Besides rent, food and utilities all my money goes to cuddling 😭😭😭😭😭 I’m addicted

  • I collect cans and copper wire, shopping carts and look for lost pets everday for 4hrs. Last month was good so I got in 3 cuddles and a possible.

  • I know one client who does this—online drop shipping/one of those Amazon seller type hustles. I can’t speak for whether or not he side hustles exclusively to fund his cuddling budget, but I’m sure the side hustle finances a bit of it as he hires pros somewhat regularly.

Very curious to see poll results about this though. Since I found out he had a side hustle, I have often wondered how many other people have one to support a cuddling habit. After all, many people maintain side hustles in order to finance a habit, hobby, or set aside to save for little luxuries. Why should this be any different?

i voted no because it is true, but have been thinking of getting a side gig so I could cuddle more so I am voting yes in spirit.

Some spare money I have near to payday would go towards a professional if the timing is right. I'm pretty good at saving though...helps if you don't own a car and house share heh.

  • @DaveTheBrit - I don't have a car payment(my car is paid for). My only debt is the mortgage and I live alone with the exception of the cat.

  • I wish I could put money into hiring a pro. I’ve been lonely for years.

  • @Cuddle4life07 if I ever wind up out that way I’ll 100% be sure to cuddle with you if you want. Been thinking of Baltimore specifically…

  • If I could work for more platonic cuddling time each month I certainly would do it.

I am too broke to cuddle pros most of the time now. I should look into a side hustle.

  • @Charlie_Bear - It gives me something to look forward to instead of knowing that I'm always going to be lonely.

  • I used to be able to pull like $700 a week Ubering as a side hustle. A significant portion went to cuddling. These days it’s more like $200 a week so the budget is a lot smaller.

  • I don't but it's sounding like a good idea. Just don't know what I would do, as driving around isn't really my thing. I like to drive only when necessary and my sense of direction (even with a gps) sucks.

I'm afraid that it comes straight out of the regular budget :grimace:

  • Driving for Uber or Lyft is not worth it with the high gas prices and routine car maintenance and costly repairs. I'm not into going to mechanics every few weeks. Not to mention the high price of cars and the expensive financing these days when the car or engine wears out because of high mileage. I am especially not into dealing with car salespersons. Also with all the nuts on the road, driving all the time is frustrating and dangerous. All that work and aggravation and risk to barely break even is bad enough, but to turn around and blow it on expensive cuddlers who don't give a hoot about me would be insane.

  • @snugbuddy - That's a bold statement and kind of offensive to claim that none of the pro cuddlers care about their clients.

  • A few months ago, I started a consulting agreement as a side hustle to pay off my credit cards before student loan payments restart. However, since the project is taking longer than expected, I'm starting to consider using some of that extra money for sessions.

  • @Mike403 perhaps they care about their "clients" but if I wasn't paying them they wouldn't care. And I don't want to be anyone's "client"

  • @snugbuddy Would you do your job for free?

I would if I could. I tried working food delivery but my car broke down after a couple months.

Some of these overnight rates are insane! :o I'd feel soooo guilty ever accepting nearly $1,000 from a client.

  • I never wanted to pay to Cuddle. Even though I have not been able to find an enthusiast.

After my brother passed last year, I finally hired two pros at different times. I used some money I received from his life insurance.

Then this year my dad moved in and I took some overtime at work for professionals. I started thinking more about self-care and how much Cuddling Helps. After dad passed away last month, I cuddled with pros a few times to help with the grief.

When I need extra money for cuddling, and I would probably just not refuse the overtime at work. Though I hate the aggravation of being there, an extra eight hours, lol.

  • I drive a Honda Accord and recently shelled out nearly $2,000 for a timing belt and water pump change. It requires taking apart the engine just to get to it. If I never change the timing belt and it broke, it would ruin the engine beyond repair.
