Am I not thinking this through? Life decisions to make

Two questions
Why can't a vampire drink its own blood when it's getting hungry/thirsty instead of looking for someone to bite?

How do vampires reproduce, wasnt sure if something dead could produce something that becomes alive

Ps. Its of critical importance if I was to become a vampire one day. it be nice to know ahead of time what to do for survival thank you all for your feedback

Because vampires are parasitic creatures and need blood from living beings

Vampires generally reproduce the same way humans do but with others of their own kind. Or by having a human drink vampire blood.

Fun fact: a human/vampire hybrid is something else entirely. They're called a Dhampir.

  • I’d think the same reason you couldn’t eat your belly fat. Some have plenty of it. If you think about it you’d save money and trim down. Same as drinking your own urine or eating your own feces

  • When a vampire is getting hungry/thirsty, it's running low on blood and needs to replenish.

  • Hemophiliacs are vampires running a scam on the healthcare system.

Best career choice for a vampire -phlebotomy.

  • Vampire blood is nasty and more coagulated and is harmful to other vampires. They need fresh human blood to get the nutrients that help them to remain youthful. I also have no idea what I’m talking about.

If you go by Yarbro, vampires can't reproduce because they cannot produce life, only unlife. They can sire other vampires, but not create a living being.

Vampires need blood that sustains life .. since their own blood does not, their own blood won't work.

Obviously, there are no hard and fast rules ... the "truth" is whatever the story writer wants it to be.

    This thread sucks 😝

  • @MrAdmirer No, no...it bites. 😜

    ~ Sunset Snuggles

  • No reality bites especially with Winona Ryder as Mina in Coppola’s Dracula

  • @Charlie_Bear
Vampire blood also has strong regenerative properties, and when ingested by a human (including Witches and werewolves who are untriggered or in human form), it will heal them of almost any wound and the majority of illnesses within seconds.

  • @FutureHeart2023, im beginning to suspect you are a daywalker.

  • @everyone
    serious question…
Is this just fantasy fun speculation or do you have actual evidence of Vampires existing IRL.

  • The same reasons a mosquito can't drink it's own blood or a vampire bat

  • @carrieanne The masquerade must be maintained.

  • @carrieanne I can't be for certain, and it my just be speculation.. but I think I've met a few energy vampires out there. 👀🤔😅

  • @touchstarved87 This show is so good, and exactly what popped into my head when reading this thread 😂😂😂

  • Do they reproduce ? I thought they're just immortal and constantly convert new people.

  • They reproduce by bite, not copulation.
They have to drink human body which has a life source. Their blood is dead.

  • The point of drinking blood is to get nourishment from the life in it.

Vampires normally "reproduce by bite", however, in many folklore, male vampires can impregnate human females, thus producing a hybrid.

Science can save lives AND ignorance is bliss.

  • If you drink the blood of christ and eat the flesh then does that not mean anybody who takes communion is a vampire and a cannibal?

  • As someone with vampiric teeth (in actuality) I can say for a fact your tongue gets messed up by the sharpness constantly. I don’t wish vampirism on anyone. It’s ridiculous.

  • I’ll never file down my k9s.

  • Vampires can only reproduce angrily. That's why they are vamp-ire-s

  • But if they stay out past dawn, they become vam-pyres.
