Pros asking for a photo ID

I did some research and found a section of the California civil code that says a copy of a drivers license cannot be made. It’s actually a fineable offense. I have a call later with an attorney to confirm whether anyone can make a copy of a photo ID. I’ll let you all know what I find.

    mic drop?

  • I’ll do my own research. :)

I checked the fines and in California it’s $250 for a first offense and $1000 for each subsequent offense. Once again, I don’t see asking for an ID as bad but recording that information should not happen.

  • This is not to prevent an assault but to assist in holding someone who perpetuates one accountable. I want my check in buddy to have more than a phone number (that could be a text app) and a hotel room (easily obtained under a false name) to give the police if I go missing.

Honestly, if someone expects me to go to their home or hotel room alone for cuddling-when we ALL know that some clients have the wrong idea-but feels it’s too risky for THEM to provide verifiable identification...they really aren’t considering that we endanger ourselves to some degree with every meeting or there’s a reason they don’t want to be identified.

I don’t need your home address, birthday, etc. so I don’t care if those are covered up-but your full legal name? Yeah I’m putting my safety in your hands, you can put documentation of your full legal name to me in case you don’t take my safety seriously or you can find a cuddler less concerned with her safety I guess.

After having a hotel cuddle go sideways, I don’t feel this is too much to ask at all.

  • @aglowangel an ID doesn’t ensure safety. A picture of an ID and or a physical ID can easily be faked. You would have to verify that ID is legitimate. If you truly feel that an ID is the key to keeping you safe, the discussion should change to how can you confirm that an ID is real.

  • @Morpheus that’s true but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t take the precaution. A seat belt doesn’t guarantee I live in a car accident but it cuts down on the chances that I’ll die. If someone REALLY wants to go to all the trouble of faking an ID, they absolutely could. But the chances of someone doing that for a cuddle appt where they intend to be inappropriate is much slimmer than someone assuming he has anonymity and thus being inappropriate at the session, IMO.

The fact is there is no 100% solution to safety-not even not doing this will guarantee no one hurts you. But taking reasonable precautions is my responsibility, and this is a reasonable one to me considering the risk I am taking by even being alone with a stranger in what could easily become a compromised position. We both are trusting each other to some extent but if I was bigger and stronger than them instead of a short, plump girl, they’d probably understand the need for self preservation a little more.

They can always choose a cuddler less concerned about her safety, but I’ve got two teen girls to finish raising and I’ve lost a child so I’m well aware that tragedy can strike even in the ways we would like to believe it wouldn’t. Reasonable precautions allow me to live my life without being afraid.

  • Agreed, safety is of the utmost importance.

I had a pro ask me for my DL, Military ID, and personal email address, Damn my SSN wouldve been next hadnt I blocked her, some of you ladies on here go overboard

-Dont judge me for my opinion-

  • No judgment . Just wouldn’t be a good match. Lol I don’t even go that far and people think I’m intense . I don’t need copy just visual to see name and pic matches . Some choose to send with all but name and pic obscured . So far havnt has an actual client ready to book say no to my boundaries .

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, guys please don’t send a copy of your ID to anyone on this site or anyone in general with or without your personal information blacked out. Showing it to a pro in person is okay but do not send it online or let them make a copy of it. It is illegal in California to do this, please see the civil code I posted above. If they ask to see your ID, ask them to see theirs. Please know and excercise your rights.

  • I don't ask for ID. I follow my instincts and have an extensive safety plan in place. I google people, google addresses, check people out on Facebook, my brother-in-law is a state trooper and is one of my safety people. I will take pics of license plates and I'm gps'd. I also know how to protect myself.

Do what you do I aint hating on you

  • [Deleted User]curiousgeorge1 (deleted user)

@Scarlette your taking photos of license plates make me be suspect of you. I would advise anyone to think twice about driving to meet her. Just saying it gives off a scary vibe.

  • @curiousgeorge1.... than don't book me. If you're a good guy you have nothing to worry about, right?

Good guys get scammed all the time.

  • How you get scammed with license plate ?

  • [Deleted User]curiousgeorge1 (deleted user)

I am not going to speculate, but any person this on this site deserves some element of privacy. And where would it end past a license plate.

  • [Deleted User]curiousgeorge1 (deleted user)

@Scarlette you abuse sitw rules and name call. Sorry but you are part of the problem. Thank and goodnight.

  • @curiousgeorge1. Nite nite. Waking up early for a cuddle. Are you?

I’m sorry I missed name calling can someone tell me what I missed ? I can’t seen to locate it

  • [Deleted User]curiousgeorge1 (deleted user)

Telling @ubergigglefritz to check herself was what was referring to. This kind of attacks do not need to be made.

  • [Deleted User]navyman35 (deleted user)

Taking pics of someones license plate is creepy!!! Maybe you should also take my fingerprints and put me though a bodyscanner, LIKE I MENTIONED EARLIER SOME LADIES ON HERE GO OVERBOARD

  • When it comes to safety we cannot tell a lady what she needs to do or not to do to protect herself or what she needs to do to feel comfortable and safe. Some feel they need to do more than others when it comes to security measures and that’s up to them and we need to respect that, there’s no need to call it creepy or anything else.
That being said I would never go through all that, but that is a personal choice and like the ladies said, if somebody doesn’t like it all they have to do is politely decline and move on. It’s a free country and I’m sure there are plenty of cuddlers that don’t require a whole lot when it comes to security measures.
I just saw a pro las week and she came to my hotel room without asking for anything at all in terms of verifying who I was although I’ll mention that if she had asked me to show her my ID I would have.
We still had a wonderful time.
So no need for anybody to get all bent out of shape, don’t wannna show ID? Say no thanks and move on.

  • @curiousgeorge1, some people need to put others down in order to make themselves feel bigger and more important. The only time I am harsh intentionally is when I see bullying occurring to anyone, not just myself. I also like everyone to feel heard who has done nothing to deserve being hushed up. That often makes me a target. I agree with your assessment wholeheartedly. This forum should be an open, accepting, and safe place, just like a cuddling session.

  • Still don’t see it .

Not sure why this is still being argued . Client doesn’t like safety protocol they don’t not have to hire the the Professional. Period

Having boundaries is not being a bully
No one else gets to decide how we run our buisness . Just like we can’t force you who to hire or not .
