@carrieanne 100% agree.
The elitist comment made me sad…
yeah, okay 2 hours for whatever reason you want but 2 hours to price out the poor? Because they won’t come back and the retention rate sucks. It’s one of the meanest comments I’ve read under the guise of being caring.
I’ll use your catch phrase Carrieanne “A little empathy” is needed.
I’m an enthusiast, on the days I have availability to cuddle, one is only 1 1/2 hours, the other would be four hours or four hours plus if we want to continue. A four hour mark is perfect. The 1 1/2 hour period is actually too short, but that’s the time I have available that day. If you do pay a pro, and you usually don’t do four hours, I would suggest saving up and trying that. Especially if it’s a pro you know and already cuddle with. Nothing like a long cuddle.

“It typically takes about an hour to 1.5 to get into a zone where you’re really comfortable and the positive effects can get the chance to kick in. Those who know, know.” @JaneH569
Agreed. 🙌♥️💯
@stormydaycuddle I’m with you and it’s not only about the value of my time. There are many factors involved. You are right on, I look at the client’s side of it too. Am I too nice?? I should cut my rate to $20 per hour with a 5 hour minimum. Lol I’m always surprised at the regulars here who have so much $$$ to spend and what they do for 4 hours. I don’t see that at all where I live. Or maybe it just all goes elsewhere. And a good cuddler shouldn’t take 1.5 hours to get comfortable!
Isn’t everyone different? Saying it takes at least 1.5-2 hours for everyone is like saying it takes hitting the snooze button 5 times for everyone to get out of bed. Everyone’s needs are different!
It takes me five punches at the snooze button to finally roll out of bed.
In an unrelated story, why am I always late for work?
@carrieanne I’m always surprised too on how much $$ people spend on anything. I was at a convenient store and a door dash got called in for a single 5 hour energy drink The clerk said that probably cost the customer $25 ! Hey it’s their money !
@Matt462 i agree everyone needs are different. I need a weekend cuddle sometimes to get me right 😊
I wish I could do 2 hour sessions. cries in retail now I need even more hugs.
@OhioMike - If they subscribed to DashPass, there's no delivery fee. I hope they tipped the driver well.
@Midnight01 Isn't pricing whatever the market will bear? If you're charging x with a two hour minimum, and you get no business, you drop the price and/or the minimum. It's business. And, yes, it is transactional -- you're paying for a service.
@carrieanne - I mentioned I have booked 4 hour sessions before on 2 occasions but in both instances, the pro was offering significant discounts to her hourly rate for the extended cuddle sessions. The vast majority of my cuddles have been 2 hour sessions.
As for cuddle funds, my car is paid off, I don’t smoke, I rarely drink or eat at restaurants, and I don’t have cable TV or take any prescriptions.
For me, I vastly prefer 2-hour minimum with a new client, especially if they are new to cuddling in general, because it can take half an hour or more for most people to even just settle into a space and begin relaxing. Add in winddown and check-in time at the end, any bathroom or water breaks, etc. and that can really eat into actual time spent cuddling. It's far more about ensuring positive client experience than money, to the point that for new clients I've started offering a BOGO for the first hour to encourage people to try out 2-hour sessions when they're afraid of the financial investment. We can always end early if either are not feeling it, but that way we've both blocked off at least 2-hours to get comfy with each other. I've only had one client take advantage of it so far and it helped a lot to encourage return, so we'll see how my experiment works continuing forward 🤷🏻♀️
@Mike403 tipping? Oh my gosh that’s another thread 😂
@JohnR1972 you nor anyone else needs to prove or defend how they spend their $$. It will be spent on something, regardless. I’m retired and living on nothing. I can’t even afford gas - so fortunately I can host where I live. All the flaunting of big bucks spent on Pros who take 1.5 hours to get warmed up? Times they are a Changin’. You all need to save for your future, for when you grow older and there is no SS for your retirement.
@OhioMike trust me do not start a thread about tipping
@OhioMike - I do Grubhub for extra disposable income. I need a cuddling fund. The money for my regular job goes to bills. They can order a single M&M for all I care as long as they tip.
It is decent money on most occasions. $300 gross on a Saturday & Sunday working 6 hours each day. $150 profit after gas, car maintenance, and taxes.
Recession. 1 hour and maybe a mini extension. Times are tough. When I feel like quitting At work I just think of the cuddles I’m missing out on.
@WriterGF Yeah, I get the Econ 101 lesson. This isn’t your normal service. It’s a little different than getting an oil change at Jiffy Lube and saying it’s too expensive so I’ll go to Mobil express. This is basically the only legit site that offers this service. So clients, put your foot down, set some standards for yourself, and set the market more favorably.
@Midnight01 - Pros set their own price. If one is too expensive for you, find another pro. That example you gave also applies for this site.
All in all I understand both sides. For the client, if pro prices are high and they require a 2 hour minimum.....just move on to the next if that doesn't float your boat. For the pro, prep work and/or travel time, and warming up to a person can make a 2 hour minimum more logical.
Interjecting that it's not uncommon for a paid cuddler to include a coffee/dinner meet n greet in the first 2 hour session, so it's even less time for the actual cuddle. But as long as it's disclosed prior to scheduling, it's fine.
@AllAboutSoul So not only does the client provide coffee and maybe a dinner for you, you count that time as part of the 2 hour minimum? Unreal. You don’t start the timer when you both get in bed or on the couch?
Yeah, if I'm paying to cuddle, I want to cuddle the entire time. Going out for dinner first and paying for it would be a nice way to break the ice, but it shouldn't be part of the paid cuddle in my opinion. She's already getting a free meal.
@Midnight01 and @Mike403 My practice is to NOT charge for a meet and greet (or "getting to know you" communication), but it's not uncommon for other paid cuddlers to charge for it, which is their choice. I was advising to make sure this is discussed prior to scheduling. Surprises aren't good.
It's not rocket science: don't like it, don't schedule with that paid cuddler.
I don't contact pros who stipulate a 2 hr. minimum in their profile......for several reasons. First, I like flexibility in the way someone presents themselves. In the comments here, several have explained that they have to spend too much time in preparation, and driving, to make a 1 hr. session worthwhile. Isn't it more welcoming and loving, especially in trying to invite a new client, to first make contact, see how far it is, determine the fit, and then suggest a two hour session? Or to compromise, based upon his funds/time/interest?
Second, for all those who have suggested that read the profile, you'll get the idea of cuddler, etc.....well, it just ain't so. Karma is often generalized ("beautiful inside and out" ), pictures are photoshopped, descriptions are inaccurate, and so on. Nothing substitutes for the chemistry experienced in person.....the way we talk, touch, smell, smile.....far more than even in the required video chats. Yes, you get some idea in a chat, but once in person, you may prefer to try just one hour and see how it goes.
Third, why can't one be open to extending should all go well, mutually decided? And if there wasn't the inspiration to extend, wouldn't both pro and client be grateful to simply hug and say farewell?
@beaubliss so you expect a pro to reserve 2 hours for you in their schedule in case you "mutually decide" to extend, potentially losing out on other clients later in the day without guarantee that you'll actually extend? That's terrible business, not to mention incredibly disrespectful of their time in general. If you're going to book an hour, expect you're only getting an hour, period, else book a longer session. Don't waste the pro's time and disrespect them.
Sessions going badly can end at any time by either party and is just considered a sunk cost by both in terms of time and investment. If the additional hour really is make or break for you financially, then by all means seek out pros that don't require it - but don't come on here and try to moralize why your one hour is somehow better.
@cuddlefaery - It doesn't look like he suggested that one reserve a 2 hour block if he's only booking 1 hour, but to be open to extending the session assuming she doesn't have another client immediately after or has something else going on.
@Mike403 because the implication is that if a pro wants to make good use of her time or potentially retain him as a client by extending the session, she must be willing to keep that extra hour free just in case rather than him just booking two hours from the start. It's an expectation that pros are just willing and able to be available at a moments notice for his benefit - a common outdated expectation from men of women in general, but particularly of service workers. If his choice is between two cuddlers, both of whom he had good sessions with, but one has the schedule flexibility to extend on the fly and the other does not (for any number of reasons: children, other clients, day job, health, other obligations/appointments, etc.), whom do you think he is going to continue doing more business with? It's a disservice to the second pro whose only fault is that they need their time respected as much as they respect his time.
Imagine if the tables were turned: if a pro disrespected a client's time by showing up late, or by constantly asking to change the appointment time last minute? Beau is setting the expectation that a good cuddle session should be able to be extended, rather than planning for it from the start. Some pros absolutely can and will extend on the fly if things are going well...but a client should never, ever book a shorter session with that expectation.
