I'm a witch @CuddleAngel333 and sometimes we do 🥰 it really depends on the energy and how the other planets are aligning too. When mercury is in retrograde, for example, I just sort of wait it out and don't do anything until it passes.

@CuddleAngel333 yup! Made sure to charge all my crystals outside. Didn't do a specific full moon ritual, but I did blow cinnamon through my front door since it was the 1st as well.

This is my kind of thread!!! Venus, the Lord of my 2nd House, is in retrograde. Oh great. Doesn't go direct until September 3-4. They're saying don't do major purchases, commit to relationships/marriages, and to not make any drastic changes to your appearance (Venus does Beauty!) during a Venus retrograde!

@lil_Majestic ~ What I found was that it was in Aquarius. Why do you ask? Have you ever had your Natal Chart calculated? That's REALLY interesting!! It woudl be interesting to know which planets are in your Aquarius house, or which of your houses the Lord of Aquarius is resting in according of your chart!

Two full moons this month, they are both super moons. The sturgeon moon was in Aquarius. The Bluemoon will be in Pisces on August 30th.
@Umoja, so blowing cinnamon has roots in several different practices worldwide. I try to honor my Celtic and Scandinavian roots the most, but as long as another practice is open and not a closed practice (hoodoo and other cultural ones) I like to include them if I feel particularly called to the ritual. Cinnamon is widely regarded as capable of energizing and stimulating the senses, promoting vitality and productivity which lead it to being useful in prosperity and abundance spells. The front door is the portal between the outside world and our inner personal spiritual space. By blowing cinnamon in through the front door on the first of the month, you are welcoming prosperity and abundance into your home for the month. I choose to focus my intentions when I do it as I still sometimes feel a bit silly reciting incantations, but there's a whole range of them that you can say if you so choose.
I don't gatekeep my practices 😊 you are welcome to ask away. I dabble mostly with runes and tarot and a few rituals here and there. I'm really focusing most on herbology. Simmerpots are one of my favorites as well.

I seriously have a crystal dealer. He has a shop out of his basement with a collection that is insane. It is hilarious because the first time you go you're like... he has 250 google reviews either people really loved it or really liked waking up in a bathtub full of ice missing a kidney.... LOL. But seriously. Boulder Colorado Kathy's Crystals. The basement isn't as scary as it sounds. He has some of the most rare things you will ever find. Its like a suburban gem and mineral show. Any who...I love this post.
@Umoja, I don't know if I'd be on the level of your children's intuition, but boy... the cards have a habit of calling me out HARD when I'm not doing enough work on myself. It's a great tool to have when you need a little clarity. Definitely do it! I also write protection bind runes under my welcome mat and have a line of black salt outside my door/threshold at all times and rosemary and lavender in pots on my porch. This home and my peace is FIERCELY protected.

@stormydaycuddle I just moved within like 5 minutes of my favorite crystal shop. They share their space with an old local auto parts store, it's quite an odd pair, but they have some wild stuff! I have to pretend it's not there or my entire mortgage would go straight to them.

I heard something that stuck with me, the other day. Someone described these retrograde periods as being similar to the "pull back" necessary before launching an arrow forward. Loved the imagery and wanted to share that with those for whom it might resonate!
