New Jeans from Korea, they just performed at Lollapalooza!
I recently ran across this song by the Hungarian group Omega and fell in love with it. First recorded in 1969 (I think) it tells a story of how one day the sun was too tired to shine and fell asleep in a deep blue lake. The world was plunged into darkness; humans suffered. Then appeared a girl with pearls in her hair who saved the day. The next day the sun rose and the girl with the pearly hair retreated to her home behind the mountains.
The song got quite a bit of acclaim. The Scorpians used the tune for their song White Dove. It was used in a movie and in recent years Kanye West was sued for using it without permission. The singer, sadly, died of COVID. Omega was presented with an award for promoting Hungarian culture with their music.
