Game: what if your profile name had to be from Broadway or Disney???

edited August 2023 in General

If you had to change your profile name to a character in a Broadway Musical or Disney cartoon, what would it be? Why?

  • Initially I was thinking Mr Cellophane from Chicago. I’m a huge John C Reilly fan and love that song, but while I once was that guy, I’m no longer.

Maybe I’m the Baker from Into the Woods (stronger and surrounded by wonderful amazing people who need each other).

I’m still pondering the question myself, and LOVE Broadway, so this should be fun.

  • The obvious answer is Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear 😂

I think Goofy would be very accurate to be honest.

    Aladin

  • King Louie, maybe.

One of the questions on my guild page in Warcraft (back when the major guilds made you apply) was "Will you sell your soul to Holy to get in?" Um... so I have quite the collection. You'd be surprised how many people will answer yes for world rankings. Video games are dangerous people.

  • Hmmmm

    For Broadway I'm thinking....TheRoomWhereItHappen
    Or ...10CuddleCommandments....or ...Pop-U-Lar.

    Disney has so many options;
    MagicCarpetRideCuddles
    BeOurGuest
    HUNKules
    Kusco's Posion
But I'd probably go something Walle related like
    Buy N Large Cuddles

  • BatB names:
    EnchantedBelle
    ICuddleBeasts
    NoseStuckInABook
    NotMadamGaston
    ThatPeculiarGirl
    BookwormBelle

    other random ones
SleepingBeauty <-- cuz I may fall asleep
    HakunaMatataCuddles

  • These are SO good!!!

Something to do with the song HOME from Beauty and the Beast (musical)

  • Pooh Bear

  • [Deleted User]MiamiFisher (deleted user)

Was actually named after Sweeney Todd

    NoTouchie!

  • Can somebody research whether grumpy old dick falls under this umbrella of username criteria?

  • Beary Barrington from The Country Bears.

  • Broadway:

ErikThePhantom (from Phantom of the Opera)
    MasterOfTheHouse (From Les Misérables)
    GrowlTiger (from Cats)

    Disney (if I HAD to):

    Catapiller (Alice in Wonderland)
    Lumiere (Beauty and the Beast)
    Stitch (Milo and Stitch)
    Sven (Frozen)

  • @LadyVel

I have to go with a Beauty and the Beast inspired name, too!

I resonate with Belle. She started out an outcast in her small town, but through courageously following her heart, she created a life that feels like an epic fairytale - like the stories from her books. 🥀🕯️📚🫶

  • If going the Disney route then I’d most likely end up being “Pocahontas” since I am naturally a Native American of the BlackFoot Tribe A.k.A Blackfoot Nation. I get it off of my mothers side, plus I love being lost in the woods all day when I have the free time 🤩🥰

As for a broadway name definitely “Roxie” from the Broadway show of “Chicago” since I am literally located in Chicago and it was played by the actress “Brandy Norwood.”

  • Aladdin, just because I have that look.

  • 100% Hercules Mulligan, I’ve loved that name since before Hamilton!

  • Mirabel Madrigal from Encanto. She has a “soft skill” gift that ends up saving everyone and I am very emotionally intelligent but don’t necessarily have “hard” (marketable? Tangible?) skills. I just want to help people.

  • I love the creativity of some of the ideas, incorporating songs, themes, etc. But as the OP said character, I'd go with...

    Disney

    • Nala (The Lion King)
    • Jasmine (Aladdin)
    • Perdita or Penny (101 Dalmatians)

Because they are from my all-time favorite Disney movies.

    Broadway

    • ThePhantom (The Phantom of the Opera)

Because he is my favorite character from any musical.

There are other Broadway/musical characters I love, but I wouldn't use their names here due to the spelling/pronunciation confusion it would cause. 😆
