This animatronic band played at ShowBiz Pizza Place. They eventually turned into Chuck E Cheese, but this is a great memory of what they used to be.
Yes, I remember the animatronics from Chuck E. Cheese. Creepy as hell, then, as well as now, honestly. 😆

@stormydaycuddle - lol. What am I gonna do with Chuck E Cheese tokens now a days? They actually had real games back then, not that prize redemption crap where you play mediocre games to win a plastic spider.
Showbiz pizza, Childrens Palace, waffle house and movie theater. It was nice hanging out with pops when I saw him.
@Mike403 Oh man! That brings back memories! We used to BEG my parents to take us to the one near us in C-Springs, CO!! I bet through "kid goggles" it was the coolest place ever....but to my parents, it was probably a terrible place to hang out. 😂
@RedFox16 BINGO ! 👍 As a parent of three kids in the 80's -90's my kids may have good memories. For me it was hot, dirty, cardboard pizza, flat pop, broken games and broken or empty token machines. So many kids running around unsupervised, crying, sweaty, dirty. Now we have the trampoline parks for my grandkids! (so no more tokens lol 😂)

I remember my local Chuck-E-Cheese from the 80’s. It had this huge dining room and the pizza was amazing (at least according to my kid tastebuds). There was a strobe light room and a ball pit. The ticket redemption games were skee-ball and whack-a-mole (among others) and all there were multiple rooms with arcade games (I remember playing Pac-Man, Rampage, Q-Bert, and Paper Boy). It was also dimly lit and had no windows. That place was magic.

@Chris04 - Blockbuster Video has been with us longer than the early '90s. I remember going to one in the 2000s.

I loved it. In Maryland , we had a local ripoff called Captain Andy's. Lol

@OhioMike Haha! I figured as much. Esp since I've taken my kids to similar places too (like Chuck E Cheese and Casa Bonita - pre makeover) and yes! Trampoline parks!! My kids were always thrilled and acted like it was Disney Land....and I was like WTH 😒😒🤷🏻♀️

@RedFox16 - The attractions are usually for kids. Even Chuck E Cheese serves beer to the parents to get them to want to go there.
You know what I think is hilarious? Chuck E Cheese is partnering with food delivery apps such as Grubhub using the name "Pasqually's Pizza & Wings" so people don't know they're actually ordering from a Chuck E Cheese. I picked up from there a couple times.
