Is it just me or have ' pros' on this site gone up x10? . This is a new era thing where everyone want to capitalis for quick buck ? Like hey if you earn money of this ok but it odd paying for a selfless human thing. FOR those who pay for a pro cuddler ok but it seems like it more paid service translation rather than a human sincere act. I just came back on this site after few years and I am horrified every1 is more or less a pro, that's dishearting as few years ago it was more chilled and sincere .

    They did say they returned to this website after a couple years. That would explain why they are referring to a difference over a longer period of time than their account age would suggest.

    I signed up in 2015 and am neither mad nor dramatic. It's a shame that the basic human need for comforting physical contact has been commodified to this degree. Humans are social mammals. Everyone who wants to be held deserves to be held. For free.

    The average now tends to hover around $100. I don't remember pros ever charging $10.

    How do you think the site owner pays to keep this site running? Web hosting isn't free. Pros pay a percentage of their earnings which supports this site that you get to use for free.

    For what it's worth I don't have a dog in this fight. I care less about what pros charge or what people are willing to pay them . I will say that I've been on the site since 2016 and average rates were 60 to 80 . Now average rates are what , 80 to 100? I say average because there are of course going to be exceptions no matter what the norm is, so don't go yelling at me about how you see people charging 150 or whatever because that's not the norm . So that being said ,, 80 to around 100 as opposed to 60 to around 80 from when I first joined isnt worth having a hissy fit about.

    @bobear look man, I get it. I could tell you how to deal with it and ameliorate the monetizing of cuddling, but my advice isn’t free. I am a professional advisor. In the meantime take my card and there are some candies in the lobby on your way out.

    Well based on the title id say it does suck that capitalism is involved, because capitalism, well sucks. But I’d say it’s the capitalism of ones self, not human beings. I feel saying human beings means other human beings. But since it’s not other humans capitalizing sits a little different than what the title inferred.

    Yes it be a wonderful world if we got what we wanted and needed for free but it’s not that. There has to be a way to maintain the site, there has to be a way to incentivize people to be available to people they don’t know. Just like there is an incentive for someone wanting a cuddle, it’s about what you get out of it.

    I tend to believe i get less out of it if i were to pay because part of what i want out of it is gone because i paid. But this is the world we live in.

    @bobear - there are several communities on CC, of which Pros are one. Others are enthusiasts, clients, and a combination of both. CC was founded under the ideals of platonic cuddling, and it was created for enthusiasts. Later, it incorporated Professionals (and their respective clients).

    A few housekeeping items:

    1) Pros are not allowed to advertise anywhere but in the Pro Requests forum within the Cuddle Requests forum. Pros that continually advertise in the general forum are timed out for a time (5-15-30 days) - they may not post anywhere during that time. Pros that still abuse advertising rules are timed out of forums permanently.

    2) You brought up capitalism. CC does not dictate Pro rates - that is up to each individual Pro. Untagged Pros should be reported - and moderators will attend to them. Many many folks who sign up for Pro status are not deemed acceptable.

    3) Moderators here are volunteers. We enforce forum rules, the TOS and site rules, and we mete out reported account transgressions to clients, Pros, and enthusiasts. We don't play favorites, and we have a transparent system to ensure accountability and double-checks for our decisions of warnings, time outs, and bans.

    4) Lastly - there IS a thread here for commentary, kvetching, and complaining about Pros and price disparities. Your post was flagged to merge with that thread, but I'm keeping this intact for now.

    If you could make money doing something you love and enjoy doing, why wouldn't you? You could also say art and music and literature should be free for everyone, but writers, artists and musicians need to eat too.

    I still think the Professional Cuddlers Guild needs to collectively raise our rates $10/hour every time one of these posts goes up.... I bet it'd stop awfully quick, if not because the authors rethinking their post then because of everyone else preemptively shutting them down 🤣

    @BashfulLoner - Complaining about pros and their prices never goes well here. There's a mega thread in the professional cuddling section to keep those posts contained. I'm wondering why the mods decided to leave this one intact.
