  • @Umoja I travel a bit and stay in hotels often. Sometimes the same ones. I am currently partial to Hilton brand of hotels. I am in their reward system and now they know all about me lol.

When I meet peeps in hotel I usually meet the other person at the front door or even meet them at their car if I already know them. Usually when I am hanging out in the lobby waiting, I will strike up a conversation with hotel employee and explain I am waiting for a friend to arrive. I can't remember there ever being a concern of any kind. That is interesting about the no luggage being a red flag for human trafficking though. I haven't thought of that before. 🤔

  • Everyone. Let's get the topic back on course. I brought in a tangentially related topic and derailed things - that was not my intention. I had assumed folks here would know there is a difference between religious posts (which are not allowed) and discussing actions within specific religions. Based on your flags, I was very wrong.

Fellow mods - feel free to lock this up if there are further reports or folks can stay on topic. Much obliged.

  • @Umoja what is the name of the documentary? I just got back from watching the sound of freedom and some of his very eye-opening.

@Ironman294 ~ Excellent grasp of the signs! Thank you!!! That was pointed out in the documentary I saw, too! Since I typically cuddle people at least as ol...mature as I am, that probably wouldn't come into play. After seeing the responses to this thread, however, I've given up on trying to have my concerns taken seriously...

@Mike403 ~ SAY IT AGAIN, LOUDER, FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK!!! lol I must have "Please derail all of my f*ing threads!" painted on my back!!! lololol!!! This wasn't even about churches!! It was about keeping Cuddling safe from wrong perceptions!!

I thought we could do a deep dive on the topic of how something that could happen during a cuddle session could mimic one of the warning signals for human trafficking, and be sadly misconstrued by hotel staff who'd been trained to look for such signals. I learned my lesson, this time, about posting my concerns!

Could someone PLEASE lock this thread so we can end this off-topic, derailed circle-jerk? Thanks in advance..

  • This is a ludicrous thread. You have somewhere in your wild fantasy equated human trafficking with checking in a hotel with no bags. There is NO deep dive, that's why no one is taking your comments seriously. Hotel staff aren't dumb. They know the signs of danger. You want to get a hotel to cuddle someone, just do it and don't worry if staff things you are a human trafficker.
