Are you a night person or morning person?

  • I guess I'm somewhat of a morning person. I find I have a very specific time period wher I function best. Ideally, I wake at around 7-30 in the morning, have my breakfast with the essential morning coffee, and I'm usually functional by around 9-00. I get through the day and try to not be in bed 'til just after 10. Every once in a while, something happens, so that I can't sleep 'til the we hours, around 2 or 3 a.m. In those times, which usually last a couple weeks, I can't get up much before noon, and I feel tired all day. Every thing seems to take a lot more energy and concentration. I'm always very glad to get back into my "normal" time zone.

  • @Unscented_Lemon That's interesting and I've had that thought occasionally. When I'm not sleeping good I'll think about how I will be fine once it gets daylight.

@cylee1180 I'm with you about boring. I wish people that are the opposite of bo

  • @achetocuddle Can you repeat the last part? thanks! I don't like b.o. myself, but I don't think that's what you're saying. lol

Was gonna say something about the opposite of boring, but decided it was boring @cylee1180 :)

I’m an early lark for work, productivity and entertainment - default. I also do night out to do mundane things or when there’s company.

I'm a night owl who wishes they were an early morning person 😂😅

  • So in my younger years I was a night person
But since I've been working a 8-4 job for the last 5-6 years I've become a morning person.
Not the overly sunshine amped morning person.
I still need my coffee lol

  • I start working at 8am. I wake up (can fully function) around noon. 🤷‍♀️

  • Definitely a night person in every sense of the word

    • Sunsets 🌅 over sunrise 🌄 (although both are beautiful, but I prefer a sunset leading to a night sky 🌌)
    • Sleeping when I want to vs Having to go to sleep (having an evening schedule, I always sleep when I want and nearly always beat the clock, this is the complete opposite if I were to wake up early in the morning) I absolutely need that ⏰ in the morning
    • Traffic is horrible & dangerous in the morning (at least here in the city) between 7am - 9am you can pretty much forget about it, and than you have those who are running late doing the most, (very rare to experience the same evening - midnight)
    • going to the gym between 8am - 12pm vs 12am - 4am is a world of difference !
    • Last but definitely not least, a gorgeous cat that waits for me every single day sleeps during the day and waits for me at night 🐈 ☺️

Also, you explained it best here I totally agree: “ But , as a night person I have my best ideas, my most peaceful moments (no errands, no phone calls, no running around), and deepest moments after midnight.”

  • Probably morning but i have to jump up early and not hit snooze. By 7:00 at latest.

  • I’m a morning person. I really enjoy the quiet and I get a lot done.

I am usually up at 5:00 am. No choice in the matter now, even if the clock doesn't go off, that's when I have to pee 🤣. By 6 or 6:00 i'm out either for a 5 mile walk or 10 mile bike ride. Does this officially make me a morning person?

  • @1_teddybear Are you overall cheerful in the morning, or miserable?

  • Night Person. I feel like I get more things done when the world is quiet :)

I’m a night person when I’m home and a morning person when I’m out camping. I feel like that could be explained by having to be in tune with your circadian rhythm and expending more energy when you’re out and about.

@CuddleHugs01234 Even when I was married I didn't have much interaction with anyone in the morning. But if I am in the market early I am friendly, so I guess i'm cheerful.

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

@CuddleHugs01234 come to think of it. If I am depressed, it is hard to get out of bed, and I suppose I'm generally crabby regardless of the time. Otherwise, I'm fine, unless I'm dealing with someone hostile or disrespectful.

  • I’m a night person. I love to dance and the places I go stay open late. I’ve tried to be a morning person, but it doesn’t work, unless I plan in advance for it.

  • @1_teddybear Mmmmhhh, exercise in morning, not much communication in morning when married, cheerful at market in morning, depression is a different story (doesn’t count in this equation), so how are you at night time?

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

@CuddleHugs01234 Well, since most of my cuddles have been in late afternoon or evening, pretty good I guess. Never had one that lasted late into the night though.

  • [Deleted User]1_teddybear (deleted user)

@CuddleHugs01234 What has been your experience?

I'm more of a night person as far as either wanting to be at home, or doing something I enjoy during that time frame. It is hard for me to get up in the mornings and do much of anything, unless I have to for work. I worked a couple of night/overnight jobs thinking I could because I sometimes am up at night a little late. It never really worked. In order for me personally to have a good work/life balance, I need work or anything that might be stressful to be in the mornings, so that I can truly sleep and/or make time for any form of rejuvenation later in the day/night.

  • @1_teddybear I’m trying to figure out if you are a morning or night person still. Alone time and not much communication in the morning, you may not be a morning person. At the market you may be friendlier just because you are at the market.

I’m wondering what’s your personality in the evening. Do you like night time, do you get lots done, do you like to stay up late?

I’ve got to get to the bottom of this! Ha ha.

  • What pretty luv said

Night person….but I have to get up early to go to work and occasionally I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep?! But definitely, a night person.

  • I used to be a night person and frequently stayed up past 2 am then slept in till 8. Now I generally go to bed by 11:00 pm and sleep soundly for 7 hours. But I am very adaptable and can dramatically alter that schedule on an as needed basis.

  • Night owl. My whole life. I pretty much work nights now and it works best for me. I'm TERRIBLE at getting up in the morning. I'm often going to bed as most people are getting up for work. (6, 7, 8 am).

  • Top of the evening y'all. Hope you enjoy your mornings/evenings this weekend. 🦉

  • Finally, another weekend. Its gonna be Monday morning in about two hours 🤣🤣

  • @Sooson You like your beer man! lol
