If you think the question and discussion is exhausting, you should try actually living it, day in and day out. Discussions, especially online, you can quite easily opt out of - living life with those social implications, as you call them... not really something one can opt out of.
Drag queens' makeup skills are freakin amazing. As someone who has done stage makeup on herself since about age 12, I'm in awe of the sheer talent, time, and effort it takes. And you'd better believe that if they have the skills to do those massive transformations, they can also do incredibly delicate natural looks as well - they just choose not to because it's not the look they're going for.
I'm so incredibly jealous of drag queens' ability to cover zombie circles (aka hereditary dark under eye circles, the bane of my existence). Even with all my practice and trying all the different products, for the life of me I cannot cover mine without looking like a cakey reverse racoon mess 🤣

JP did convince me the question was more simplistic than I was giving it credit for. I still believe talking about make up etc can damage young women because a lot of women were taught to tally opinions in order to be accepted.

I LOVE makeup, both wearing it and seeing it on others, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary. So many women are naturally beautiful without it. I never wear foundation, though. My skin is rough, it is what it is. Thankfully guys don't seem to care, and I feel like it would change my face too much and they'd feel catfished once it came off in the morning. (Giggity. ~eyebrow wiggle~) Eyeliner and mascara are a MUST for me though, at a minimum.
People should just be comfortable and do what they want. If they LOVE makeup, then cool. If they don't, also cool. They'll attract whoever is meant for them. 😊
And It doesn't pair with cuddles very well
@biancalovecraft - Yeah, exactly! The few times I wore more makeup than just a little eyeliner and mascara to a cuddle session, I looked ridiculous after. I was only wearing it because I was someplace beforehand where I wanted to wear my signature wings, and some eyeshadow. The smudging was ridiculous. 🤣
