I love Converse, but you're right, they are uncomfortable as hell.
It is I again with a friendly neighborhood unsolicited opinion to share, plus who doesn't love a good ol necro thread am I right ?
My unsolicited opinion of the day is,.who gives a good gosh darn about tournament fishing ? Fish for the love of the game or to feed thy selves but do we need an entire tournament? It's like watching pro golf with life vests. Go spread the word and allow thine self to bask in the love and the glory that lives within my brain !
Also, I knew Diddy did it way before the allegations. Something about that slime ball has always been, well, slimy. But that is more fact than unsolicited opinion.
Don't forget Converse are also sweatshop made, and not even good quality enough to try to justify violating human rights. Oh and Dickies suck too. That being said I still have like 10 pairs.

I have to admit when I was a kid I chose to wear Converse. It’s just what we did and what we could afford, but as I got a little bit older and preteen/teen years, total van girl…. And now to be completely honest, I am all about the hey dude when it comes to comfort. Add when I bartended I try to wear Converse and that was probably some of the worst decisions I made in my lifetime, especially since we walked on these planks behind the bar. Beauty is pain.( sheek and limelight moments ) But I agree they’re awful for your arches
@pmvines I simply look at powerful, Rich, famous people, especially those who have only been that for a short time, or a very long time, and I know that they are probably abusing others with their power.
I mean, that seems to be the natural use of power, to abuse others.
I have nothing to say about Converse, Keds or Red Ball Jets. I usually walk around in Birks or Crocs.
I am a big fan of the verb “converse.” The term “conversate” grates on me. The Google says that conversate really is a word, and maybe it really is, but it is not one I will ever speak. If anyone wishes to converse with me, I am here sometimes.
@pmvines - forget about your fancy footwear. Back in MY day, people wore thongs before they were called flip flops. And thongs then were called butt-floss. I didn't make the rules, that's just what happened. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt (and various thongs (cf, historical remarks above)).
@Sideon But the big question is, did your butt gargle with mouth wash after flossing ? And I cant imagine what brushing it must have been like

I really like the slip on sketches because I have neuropathy, but then I bought some 10 dollar shoes from Walmart and they are super comfy, now crocs to me are the ugliest waste of money I have ever seen. But when I was first diagnosed I was using a walker ( with crippling pain) and I broke down and bought a few pairs, I'm not proud of this dark Era in my life. But they did really help
Wearing an anti racism shirt is not a political post. Being anti racist is fundamental component of human rights advocacy. If that bothers you and you feel a need to flag an anti racist T-shirt wearing pic as political, then what does that tell me about your worldview and beliefs on race and human rights, and the role that it plays in shaping your politics ?
It suggests that person is a racist.

Anti-racism isn't political until you deliberately associate it with a particular candidate/logo.
Whelp in my unsolicited opinion, if being anti racist is flagged as political then I guess I am political. But it's interesting that people of a certain side of the fence view that as political. Almost as if outwardly expressing being anti racist equals anti you know who. But I didn't say it because that would be political...
Anti-racism statements are not political. Racism is hatred and willful ignorance. I will not be responding to flags claiming otherwise.
@WriterGF for that context I see your point. My thoughts were around the context of two individuals interacting. I thought it was also in line with @pmvines OP.
As for the later messages I’m confused. Was there a racism thread that I missed?

In another thread I posted a selfie wearing a T-shirt that says make racists afraid again. Not as an endorsement of violence, but as a message that it's not ok to allow open acts and sentiments of racism to feel so emboldened. I am 50, and live in the south, and have seen an unfortunate spike in the outward expression of bigotry, bigotry that my region has had to fight tooth and nail over the decades to ease, so the message really resonates with me. However something I didn't quite expect is all of the flags and reports, stating it is a political post that I am wearing such a shirt in forum pic. Which is weird to me, because human rights should not be a political statement.
But I also can imagine that there are people who likely don't care for me in the first place and see it as an opportunity to use the political posting rule to use to their advantage so they can try to have a post of mine removed as a haha look what I can do sort of thing. However, as @sideon pointed out, trying to bend it into a political post doesn't really fit the criteria as such. Oh well.
In my unsolicited opinion, sushi is one of those over hyped sometimes pretentious things people say they like just to feel more cultured. Like jazz music and books on history.
