Concerts

  • That's one way to watch the concert for free. Just stand on the overpass.

  • :) I've noticed that sometimes the funnest? things in life are when you do them the cheap or fringe way.

They're coming to the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado on November 16th. Paid over $400 for my ticket. When did concerts get so expensive?

  • I've only ever been to 1 concert... now I may be going to one day of the Louder than Life festival in Louisville KY on September 22 with my roommate.
with fee its about $170 ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Tempted to just drop them off!

  • Geared up to see In This Moment for the fourth time (second time this year) in November. ๐Ÿ˜ They are my favorite band and I'm โœจ obsessed โœจ.

  • Iโ€™m going to the Hippie Living Fair near Grand Rapids the 2nd weekend of September. Live music all weekend provided by various groups.

  • I volunteered and got into a few concerts that way. It was fun.

I just can't get enough of this song.

  • I can't wait to be at this concert in a few weeks.

  • I love concerts! I recently saw Riff Raff, and Behead the Betrayer. Sadly I was going to see Cradle of Filth and got sick.

  • $75 just to park our car at the arena where the DM concert is taking place on Thursday.

    @Mike403 - Holy *%#! That is ridiculous.
The last concert I attended was downtown Nashville, TN a few months ago and parking was only $20 about 2 blocks from the venue.

  • @JohnR1972 - I booked a parking spot a half a mile away from the venue for $5.

  • @Mike403 - Smart move. As long as the area is generally safe to walk, I have no problem walking long distances to save money. Nashville wasnโ€™t bad but there are some cities where paying extra to avoid walking might make sense.

The Hippie Camp concert in September was very different than the concert in Nashville. Hippie Camp was an open air venue and everyone brought lawn chairs. None of the bands were all that well known but they were good. It was a very chill atmosphere and parking (in gravel lot at a fairgrounds) was included in the ticket price.

  • My boyfriend, my brother, and I went to a hardcore (mathcore) show a few weeks ago. They were awesome, I screamed my head off. The opener was local from Boulder, Colorado, a doom metal band (heavy, slow, atmospheric drumming). I really enjoyed their vibe.

The next weekend, my boyfriend and I went to a ska show where the band was backed by a full orchestra. It was so much fun, the band always has crazy energy, even though one of their members recently passed away, young and unexpectedly. At the end of the show, they lit up his mic with spotlights and displayed his photo on the big screen.

In January, we will be flying to New York specifically to see another hardcore show. ๐Ÿ˜ My boyfriend is so much fun, he really breaks me completely out of my norm.

  • @SunsetSnuggles I find that interesting that a Doom Metal band would be opening for a hardcore show.

  • @CSnMUS87 They each had a different feel, to be sure, but in the end, they're both screaming the lyrics, so it made sense to me. ๐Ÿคฃ

  • Saw The Eagles with special guest The Doobie Bros (filling in for Steely Dan) this past Tues (3rd time in 18 mos) and waiting on presale Wed for a 4th time this coming March.

TSO this coming Sat 4 rows back on floor- which I think makes it 9 times.

  • Just the fees cost more than what I normally spend on concert tickets.

Ok so I saw pretty lights in Brooklyn a few weeks back. Clozee in New Orleans 2 weeks before that. Caught dead and co at jazzfest back in May, and went to envision festival in Costa Rica in February.

For all the edm fans, jam band fans, and music in general, there will be a solar eclipse next April, and there will be a big festival in Texas to celebrate it.

Going to see the eagles and doobie brothers tonight

I was lucky enough to see Queen with Adam Lambert on Sunday in LA. Those guys can definitely still rock it in their 70's. Amazing show ๐Ÿ‘

  • @MissX I know we chatted about this a couple of years ago and I saw that same show in 2018. They are amazing and Lambert has a surprisingly strong voice.

@BoomerSpooner You are so right about Adam. Has an amazing voice and he did Freddie justice like probably very few can.

  • I was tempted to sell since my seat is five spaces to the right of this one, but I hate scalpers, so I'm not gonna be a hypocrite and scalp myself.

  • @cuddlemeup12 hope it was fun! My dad loves those bands.
