    Weight! I've made numerous healthy lifestyle changes over the past year and a half, but I still have a long way to go. 🚵🏻‍♀️

    What experiences or adventures do you want to pursue in the coming year:
    The dream is to travel overseas for several weeks. Barring that, I would be super happy to visit Rocky Mountain National Park during the elk rut, to finally see the Ice Castles sometime this winter, to take our new kayak out numerous times next spring and summer on the lakes near where we live, and to find the courage to ask a local ranch if I could spend some time with their horses. 🐴

    Yes! I have a scrapbook.

    What do you like to eat on your birthday:
    Mashed potatoes and gravy.

    Birthday plans this year:
    Usually it's just dinner with family, but this year I really wanted to unplug and get away, so my boyfriend and I are planning to go up into the mountains and do all our meals on the campfire and just spend the day surrounded by trees, just us and the dog, next to the river. 🌄

    Something you accomplished in the past year: Um...learnt a lot of new skills for work so I don't feel I'm wasting my time as much.

    A favorite memory from the past year: Not happy as such, but having our extended family all together after a funeral was great to see. Just glad we can all help each other during the hard times.

    Share something you learned, the past year: I'm not as shy and unconfident as I once was. Certainly wouldn't be wanting to cuddle anybody the way I used to be.

    If you could have any superpower until your next birthday, what would it be: The ability to destroy certain objects by scowling at them (like cigarettes, E-Scooters 😂)

    If the past year of your life had a theme song, what would it be:

    Share a favorite birthday memory from childhood: My first ever birthday party, complete with bouncy castle!

    Share a goal you wish to accomplish before your next birthday: New Job for sure. Maybe move down to the coast if I can afford it

    Share something you want to let go of or leave behind as you enter the next year of your life: A few excess pounds. Need to do a bit more cardio instead of just walks

    What experiences or adventures do you want to pursue in the coming year: Travel more - I've been meaning to visit Belfast for a start, but evenutally I want to reach Canada, Finland, Japan and Italy.

    Do you save your birthday cards: Special ones...I've misplaced them though lol

    What do you like to eat on your birthday: Chip Shop/some other takeaway.

    Birthday plans this year: I went to Oxford for the weekend which was fun. But next year, hopefully I'll plan an epic trip outside of the UK. I'll settle for a cuddle day though!

    Mostly I'm keen on seeing the Northern Lights, Helsinki and those glass igloos you can stay in.
    But also because I'm a metal fan and the Scandinavians love their heavy music 😅

    Helsinki is well worth a visit. And the Finns are cool. They have a word which translates as 'pantsdrunk', which means getting drunk at home, alone, in your underwear. And if that's not civilisation, I don't know what is.

    But Finland is not in Scandinavia. Scandinavia is Norway, Sweden and Denmark: countries once ruled by Sweden, very roughly speaking. Finland has a different history. If you want to refer to all four, then the term is Nordic.

    Aweee how cute, my birthday 🎂 is actually today 😄😄😂🎂🎉 !!!!

    Perfect timing for this thread ⏱️ thanks for posting it.

    ~ Just turned 28 a few hours ago ….. still feels the same as 27, but we’ll see how the day goes.

    ~ My biggest accomplishment for the year is becoming a new auntie 😍 I love babysitting my niece as often as possible, because nothing is better than a baby you can get all the time and also drop off at the end of the day when they’re getting fussy !!!

    ~ My favorite memory of the year is more recent, nonetheless a unexpected surprise I finally started a bunny wagon 🐰 for rabbits to go on jogs with me 💕😍 I was scared because they hate environment change and motion like car rides give them anxiety but thankfully they ended up really enjoying themselves a lot 🥲🥰 and will be going on jogs with me more often.

    ~ Something I learned new this year is how beneficial it is to accept letting unhealthy individuals fall out of your life. It isn’t that it’s bad to help others but it’s okay to not sacrifice yourself for individuals who aren’t yet ready to make any changes on their journey, some individuals need to take their time away to struggle and do what they to do and that separation can still be a beautiful thing even if it means it’s the end of things for that bond/association.

    ~ Favorite movie is a horror film 🎥 called “Vile”

    ~ Favorite book I’ve read recently is called “The Red Book” 📕 by Carl Jung it’s a psychological self-exploration of his own “confrontation with the unconscious”

    ~ Favorite song is N/A …. I’ve wayyyy too many genres I enjoy listening to and to select just one song ☝🏾 we be impossible because I could be on a fave song playlist for a year all on its own 😂 and still not be able to narrow down just one ultimate favorite.

    ~ If I could have any superpower this year until my next birthday, I’d for sure want invisibility powers maybe 🤔 even consider teleportation…. but seems to risky to tell where you’ll end up exactly when you land it it just seems more relaxing 😎 to invisibly board a plane ✈️ and know where I’m heading exactly.

    ~ Theme song for the last year would be : “wake me up when September ends” by GreenDay …..for the irony is that my (actual) name means “to be seen” , yet I heavily dislike public attention and the timing ⏱️ of my birthday is September.

    ~ Favorite birthday memory wasn’t from childhood necessarily but it was my 16th birthday and instead of a car I got my absolute best friend that ever existed 🤩 it was my dog Simon 🥰🥰🥰 he was so sweet and amazing, but sadly he passed 2 years ago. I would’ve traded in any car I’ve ever had to be able to pick him all over again if given the chance ☺️

    ~ Something I would like to let go of this year is most definitely my gas ⛽️ & electric bill ⚡️ because I swear they are absolutely overrated 🙄 and forever unstable ♾️ !!!!

    ~ An experience/adventure I want to have this year is to take my parents on a trip to Greece 🇬🇷 for the view of the sea, to mean some plates 🍽️ , architecture and to tour the handmade marble roads or I’ll definitely settle for my second option to go to Spain 🇪🇸 so we can watch the bulls fight and the flamenco dancers 💃 on the dinner table. 😃😄 either place we will find something fun to do and experience 🤩

    ~ My grandparents on my fathers side have always made these intensely intricate and personalized birthday cards within our family and I save them every year so that I can build a life scrapbook 📔 for when I have children to place them in and other milestones/memory markers for them to cherish.

    ~ My birthday plans for this year are to do a private family gathering today before leaving the country for my birthday trip to Canada 🇨🇦 at the end of this month where I’ve an itinerary of several events I’ll be attending, nature trails/parks I’m going visit, a company/branch launching and a possible planning of a 26+ mile marathon….. but I’m only excited for 3 of the events/functions on the itinerary which is to go sports car racing 🏎️ 💨 , the selling of our estate in Vancouver🏠 thus leading to the purchase of a beautiful lake house in Edmonton that I’ll have to work on adjusting to.

    I’m curious 👀 to see what the difference of living in a busy metropolitan area and beach life 🏖️ will feel like in comparison to lake life 😁😁 I’ve never experienced living near a lake so I’m stoked to take one of the sports out ice drifting 🏎️ 💨🧊 once its cold enough. Beyond that I’m happily anticipating the winter ❄️ because we’re expecting to host Christmas 🎄 this year in Canada for both of our families from Chicago and India 🇮🇳 to celebrate 🎊 and since when the lake freezes over we’ll be able to take one of the cars out on ice to go lake drifting 😍😍💕 I can’t wait to see my moms reaction the first time I take her to do it unexpectedly (start our day off getting coffee ☕️ and before she knows it on the way home I’ll just slip us on the ice 🧊 and wait for her shocked reaction😳 prior to her yelling at me for it 🤭) ….. otherwise the rest of this trip I’ll be spending in nature and being bored to sleep 💤 from listening to company lectures and meetings in preparation to launch a new branch out in Canada by the end of this year.

    Awweee you are so sweet and most welcome SunsetSnuggles your mountain photo is absolutely breathtaking 🤩 congrats to you 🎊 on being an aunt to two little ones, it’s such a joy to be aunt. I’m also very happy that you had a lovely weekend with your boyfriend. I have to say it is so heart warming to see other nature lovers. I could be lost out in nature/the woods for hours and truly be in paradise 🥰 Seems like you’re a super Nature lover, to have done a whole weekend 😃😍 I am in awee of that.

    I love your enthusiasm and questions 😂 this time of year is definitely a birth month for me 😂 especially because my family celebrated my Native American “right of passage” with my first Tomahawk and I’ve to admit 🥲 it was damn glorious 😍 and I will be making a new annual tradition for my b-day to have my father grill me one.

    The trip is going to go beautifully ,but my leave date is delayed until Oct. 5th but for good reason 😃 …. I didn’t pack 😂 so my husband delayed my flight for me and will go early to get our home arranged for my arrival, he leaves tomorrow …. but thankfully he’s going to extend my trip so I can do my first international marathon 🤞🏾 if I get to go and it doesn’t get canceled I’ll send pics. It’s their first time reopening this race since Covid So we’ll see!! Yayyyy I’m so happy you liked the bunny wagon they are super sweet to see 🥲 and have made it to be very fun tag alongs 🏷️ for a jog.

    As for the cars 🚗 yes, I must admit I’m secretly a massive adrenaline junkie 🤩🤩😜🤪😍 my husband and I race Maserati’s in Canada 🇨🇦 we’ve to go and shoot some company advertising stuff and blah blah blah but we are planning to also branch out to Ferrari later down the line of the company’s future interests. I’ve only done Street drifting thus far, never ice drifting 😂 my husband would get the credit for that part but after this year I’ll join the “kewl kids club” with him 🤣 Canada is where we garage our main collections since I don’t use them as often in the states with the unpredictable Chicago weather we get. Oddly enough I prefer SUV’s more especially for a day to day basis, due to the fact my road rage needs to be accompanied with off roading more often than I should admit 🤭🤭 The extra height is very useful for me to navigate easily when I can oversee more of the road 😂🚗 💨

    Of course I would love to share pictures of my pride and joy 🥲 🐕 thanks for asking. I’ll share Simons pics here but I’ll message you pics of the trip after I go, as well as
    share last years visit and our cars with you in our messages privately for security reasons and …. Blah blah blah !

    I didn’t see your cake question although I’ve seen how spectacular your cake was, I love the depth in the creators coloring on it. I don’t have a dream cake but one of our fellow cuddle members sent me a pic of a gorgeous fall cake on our birthday, I’ll ask him if he’s okay with me posting it here later or if he will 😃 !!!

    Something you accomplished in the past year: I got to take 4 trips. Philadelphia, Dallas, Atlanta, and Portland, Or.

    A favorite memory from the past year: Both in Philadelphia and Atlanta I met some AWESOME cuddlers. Cuddling has really helped me cope with the passing of my wife last October 2.

    Share something you learned, the past year: I can live without my very best friend but it isn’t any fun.

    Favorite book you read recently: I recently have been listening to Audible books. I listened to the entire Harry Potter series.

    Something you accomplished in the past year: moved from Texas to Oregon, got a great job, healed a relationship with a family member.

    A favorite memory from the past year: experienced my own death during an Ayahuasca ceremony.

    I'm...

    Something accomplished:

    Finally started ticking the boxes on a lot of health related care I'd been avoiding putting any energy into, dealing with a mess of bills I'd let pile up, being honest with my therapist... Basically, I've been doing a lot of reality check adulting this past year.

    A favorite memory from the past year:

    There are quite a few (Vegas meet up ~ whoot-woot!!), but I have to say that going through putting myself out there, the writing and rewriting of a fully open, honest and detailed dating profile ~ that whole process (which led me to my perfect for me person and all that we've done/shared in our nearly one year together now...), is all my favorite!!

    Something learned:
    That I've come a long way, and still have a ways to go ~ and that that's okay.

    Favorite movie you saw recently:
    Hidden Figures

    Favorite book: Furiously Happy ~ Jenny Lawson

    Favorite song right now:

    Superpower:

    I'd honestly be stoked just to have some improved executive functioning skills along with being able to sustain my focus/not get distracted so easily.

    Baskin Robbins ice cream cakes and getting to play with the dry ice was something I always looked forward to.

    I'd like to drastically reduce the degree to which I view myself through a depreciating, defecit based lens (I want to get to a place where I'm as considerate and compassionate with myself as I am regarding others).

    My brother and I completely went through, emptied out, fixed up, and sold my mom's condo that she's lived in for almost 15 years. 🏡 A huge task, an emotional journey, and a lot of trips to Colorado, but I'm so thrilled that we accomplished that, together. 👫🏻

    Seeing two people I love form their own connection and get along so wonderfully, chattering away about shared interests deep into the night, while I was dozing off or not even in the room. 🫠

    Same as last year - move to the Pacific Northwest! Plans have morphed and changed numerous times since last year, but I think we will make it happen, soon.

    Mashed potatoes and gravy!

    Birthday plans this year:
    My boyfriend and I went to Grand Teton National Park yesterday and spent several hours by the Snake River. I took lots of pictures of the red-headed Mergansers, we ate breakfast burritos while watching the crystal river slip by, and then we set up the back of my SUV and cuddled with a view of the trees and the river. 🏞 We had dinner at a Thai restaurant, did a big grocery haul (rural life!), and saw a fox on the drive home. 🦊

    Today (my actual birthday), I've been putting away all those groceries, relaxing, chatting with some friends and family, and will open some gifts and cards tonight...which is when the mashed potatoes and gravy will come into play. 😏

    Aww, so many September babies!!! I don't like celebrating my birthday, but I do appreciate I'm not a December or January baby 😅 would probably hate it. Anyway, here are my responses...

    Something you accomplished in the past year: not so much accomplished, but have definitely learned a lot being on this lovely site.

    A favorite memory from the past year: feeling my walls come down (a bit 🤏🏼 lol) and also feeling that from someone else, even if it was just for a small moment. 💖

    Birthday plans this year: I don't like celebrating my birthday and I don't like to be congratulated either 🤦🏻‍♀️ so it's always a stressful day no matter how much I repeat myself or my wishes, but I do love celebrating with people!! Just wish it wasn't about me. 🤷🏻‍♀️
