I always brush my teeth and pack mints, but I do that whenever I go out
I usually brush before leaving for a meetup and chew gum on the way ~ But mints are good too.
A tip since we're on the subject!
If you've had onions or garlic, rinsing with lemon juice before brushing with toothpaste should help get rid of the taste and smell! You can also chew on lemon or orange peels ~
When I've been chopping onions, I use lemon juice gets the smell off my fingertips. Soap and water alone won't usually do it.
@EarthlyAngel003 Citrus does take away smells; however, be careful brushing after having anything citrus in your mouth, as the acid can soften your enamel and you can brush it away.
Right!? @WestsideMarc We gotta floss our teeth too? Jeez, people here just keep getting pickier and pickier ๐ฃ
I'm obviously joking....I do ALL the things. Since I'm already old (according to a comment on a recent thread), all I have left is my teefs ๐ฆท
@RedFox16 if it was my middle age comment the results came from google not me. lol. And I had to check your profile for your age just now and I was waaaaayyyyy off. My guess was 10 years younger.
This is the first time I've ever seen an entire essay written about the evils of chewing gum.
I'm kinda afraid of what kind of lemgthy lecture will be imposed if I happen to mention chewing gum AND mints, via placing a mint inside the gum to maximize the mouth funk dissolution cus I have been known to do that in addition to a thin coat of toothpaste resting on the tongue
@SunsetSnuggles Oooo, you're right! I guess swish with water afterwards and wait half an hour before brushing then, maybe? And using one of those enamel fortifying toothpastes is probably a good idea. I have Apaguard and a few other brands that I rotate use of.
@EarthlyAngel003 Yup yup! ๐๐ฆโณ๏ธ๐ชฅ
To each their own, but the lengthy exposรฉ on minty breath and the sinister truth behind it might be my favorite thing I have read all year.
Right ?? That's some golden nuggets that nobody asked for but apparently thought was needed ๐
I said to my nephew, "Now Hark!" That sound from the dog in the park? A big candy cane Is giving him pain: You're hearing a peppermint bark.
Iโm now tempted to chew gum, take a mint, eat pop rocks and drink a soda and let nature take its course.
Day in and day out I like to chew on a little fresh slice of ginger. Probably a bit strong before a cuddle, but Iโve never had a problem with coffee breath even though I can count how much I drink on the daily
I brush and use mouthwash before every cuddle and try to have mints handy. If I plan to pop a mint I offer one to my partner and if they decline I ask them do they mind if I have one. Pretty straightforward etiquette I think, but I could be wrong.
Careful @BoomerSpooner for you just might be inviting a really weird,.convoluted lecture.
