I understand OP’s point and agree that a flat, all-inclusive rate would simplify fee discussions between cuddlers. However, this implies that hosting is the default location for pros. Some pros may have challenges hosting (find childcare, clean/prep house, etc) but still offer hosting to those who need it along with public and/or guest (with or without travel fees.) In this scenario, a pro may predominant engage cuddles in public or as a guest (with or without travel fee) and only host once in a while. In this scenario, it wouldn’t make sense to bake hosting fees into their hourly rate. Delineating a separate hosting fee ensures that it is only applied to incalls and not everyone.
@cozycuddler4you exactly! I dont host and while I travel for most sessions I don't travel for all. So why would I charge my local cuddlers who do host, for something they're not getting? It's a lot easier to say "hey this is my base rate, and this is what gas would cost me" than it is to say "okay well you're not asking me to host and you're not asking me to travel so I'm going to give you a discount" Especially when CC explicitly says travel fees do not need to be added into the total cost of the session on the booking panel
The only real “fee” I have is my travel fee and that’s because I’ve found myself driving more and more for booked sessions. The furthest I’ve done is a 6 hour round trip which of course is a lot of wear and tear on my car.
So for me personally my travel fee includes: gas, more frequent oil changes, toll roads or parking fees I have to pay when coming to someone, the time being used that could have gone to another cuddles session but didn’t due to driving (which has happened multiple times), plus any other random thing I may encounter.
That being said, why would I raise my overall fee when not all of the people who book with me are so far away? My travel fee only begins for any session booked that requires an hour or more travel one way on my part (which is actually 2 hours of travel minimum when thinking in terms of round trips).
Lets face it, if this was free it would go down in flames from all the creepy malarky.
There should be no problem with reasonable travel fees or such so long as they're disclosed upfront, either in the pro's profile, or as part of the messages during booking. But it's tacky to wait until after the booking is made to then send a message along the lines of "oh, by the way, I need an additional X amount for Y reason". It's even more tacky to add the fees in just before the session is supposed to start.
One size fits all doesn’t work for clothing, shoes or cuddling. If a la carte pricing on cuddling confuses you then you might want to steer clear of restaurants as well.

Before I could host, I did start implementing a travel fee, and I would just add up the cost of gas and tolls for each session and then pass that on to the client, because I realized that a lot of my income was going towards travel, and it was cutting into my bottom line. When I opened my first office, space, I decided to just increase my hourly rate to offset the office, but also offset the cost of travel for outcall sessions rather than separately itemizing the expense each time.
What one of my colleagues does is she has a higher hourly rate for outcalls than she does for sessions in her office. The way she explained it is not only she spending time and money driving to see her clients, but she also can’t see as many clients that day than if she was seeing clients back to back in her office so part of that higher rate is the opportunity cost.
In general, I am a fan of raising your rates rather than having a bunch of itemized fees.
There are certain instances where it makes sense to charge an extra fee. For example, if I have to go to Center City Philadelphia more often than not I’m gonna have to pay $20 or more for parking. If I drive into New York City, the toll can be around $50. One time I had a session in Queens New York, and I didn’t realize until a day or two before that I would have to pay $50 and tolls and I asked if Client could help but he said he could not, so I had to eat that cost. Now I just simply do not travel to any of the five boroughs of New York City because it’s not worth the hassle.
@xandriarain so I typically just avoid the toll roads when I go to Chicago (and the one time I drove to DC for a session) and it doesn't add too much time to my drive. Once you get further up into the north east is it harder to do that? 😅 genuine curiosity. We don't have Toll Roads in Missouri but I know my person spends like $50/day on tolls for work. (Lives in CT)
A savvy pro will come to realize that charging each client a separate travel and hosting fee will do wonders to her bottom line. Example, Pro A travels to another city and advertises that she needs $ to cover gas. Client 1 pays it. She fills her tank with Client 1’s gas money and drives to the appointment, where Client 1 also kicks in for her hotel hosting fee. Meanwhile, a couple other clients contact her, agree to pay for her gas and hosting, although Client 1 already gassed her up and paid a hosting fee. It’s a beautiful country, get your money, ladies :-)
@hey_nikky yes you have to pay a huge toll to get into NYC there is no non toll option. And they are adding even more fees to drive in certain parts of Manhattan. I also pay a small toll every time I cross the river from NJ to PA which I do a lot because I have an office in NJ and live in PA. I also take the turnpike (a toll road) a lot because I am always running late ⏰ and every minute counts. In some instances taking the toll free roads will be roughly the same but other times it can be a difference of 20-30 minutes
@SammyG_ That's similar to some great advice from comedian Jeff Foxworthy.
He suggested, as the designated driver, if you're friends are super drunk, just stop at every gas station on the way back home, and make each passenger take turns paying for a fill-up. A great way to make some money.

I absolutely LOVE how twisty people are getting about this. In no other industry are people so suspicious of how fees are being used or even care. Disdainful of paying extra fees I can almost understand but you’re seriously implying that cuddlers are playing you like two bit trash (the way these complaints sound) and yet plenty of industries have fees tacked on and you don’t sit there wondering how the people in that other industry are spending the money. I’d love for one of you to whine to contractor in another field about this the way you’re doing here. I’m pretty sure they’ll tell you to change your diaper and find someone else. Please tell me you’re stopping that pizza delivery guy from the shop with a delivery range fee and telling him he better not spend the fee somehow you don’t approve of. It’s time spent on the road too. Why the hell do you care how the money is getting spent? This is knit picking women for having the audacity of valuing their time/or charging for business costs (location, babysitter etc) Suggestion: it may be time to grow up. Okay be upset there IS a fee, call it a rip off if you must but the over the top “she’s not gonna spend it on gas.” Or say that the pro is going to use it to cover CC fees. So what. My goodness. Seriously go start a sub-Reddit about the dominos delivery driver. Complain about him using the fee for daycare for his kids or whatever else… I love all these stories that are being made up to begrudge women charging for their time/business costs.
A couple that charge travel fees. Delivery fees (out of range) Specialty contractor out of range (pest control, plumber) CPAs working from home may be including a portion of their mortgage in their cost. Some do.

Speakers for events Physicians and veterinarians that do house calls Movers if destination goes over an agreed upon distance The college friend who had a car and would take take you off campus for gas money

Sister Skinny had a cuddle session with Rocky yesterday. She did not charges any extras.
As long as the fees are described up front I have no clue why people would be in such a tizzy over this.
