When I see this and they joined in the last 30 to 60 days I just assume because they're not sure what to say yet and they are new. If it's longer than that then I'm not sure how interested they are and cuddling and could be just someone whowants to look around
I like reading "inside" of people, so YES, the About Me section is vital to a Profile.. Have a Fun Friday U aLL! 🐺 ☕️ 🚬
@PassionWolf Dont forget the lunch break
I’m illiterate so I just look at pictures
When I first joined this site, I was hesitant about the nature of it. There was chaos in the forums, a certain lascivious testosterone on display, but also a sharp rebuke of it. I kept my profile largely blank whilst my investigation on whether or not this site had anything desirable to me proceeded. The main reason for the vacant void was my general safety. It wasn't until a member, who sadly isn't among us anymore, posted something beautifully poetic that made me realize the nurturing core beyond the tumult surrounding this site. I have slowly started sharing more with the core members(man, woman, and all betwixt) on the forums as they are truly exquisite beasts.

Those were the good ol' days. How I miss them.
@jplemmon well, be the change you want to see in the world as I always say.
I can't just have a blank profile, I gotta put some information in it.😁
Whether it's a lot or a little information about myself, though usually with me it's always a lot. Lol😄
@CSnMUS87 if you’re trying to cuddle women, I promise you that most women aren’t put off by reading a long profile.
Your profile is great. I like that you include your vaccination status, playlists you like, etc. It shows that you want to make the other person feel comfortable and safe. In strictly the hypothetical sense, if you approached me as a client, I’d definitely want to schedule with you based on your profile.
(Do not message me for a session, I am not soliciting business, just providing feedback)
Low key kinda wish they’d just require profile info filled out when you sign up. Just change the code and make it required field, like age.
Literally even one sentence would be better than nothing. We’re already out here dealing with faceless usernames trying to get us to cuddle them, which is weird enough.
If I were to leave mine blank then nobody would know what a dork I truly am and might come into meeting me with false expectations of coolness
If the account is new and has nothing on the profile (about me, photos, karma) I will assume you've been banned off this site so why bother filling out a profile if you're just going to be banned again 😂
I should so revamp mine. I think I'll do that 🙂 thanks.
I revamp my About me section on occasion. I don't know if that's recommended or not.
My profile was giving War and Peace a run for its money until I drastically shortened it last month.
Have any of you noticed how many men have “Netflix and chill” or some version of that? And that’s pretty much all they have. That’s not a good thing to put in your profile. That has a meaning and it’s not a good one for this site.
How did the name of a streaming service become a euphemism for sexual activity? What if they said "Disney Plus and chill"?
lol @Mike403 I definitely wondered the same but I don’t get half of the current slang anyway. I’m not even going to try. But I have to wonder about the people who do put that in their profile? Do they know what it means? And is that intentional because there’s an awful lot of that. Almost every profile that has anything written is some version of that phrase.
@carrieanne i remember when Netflix and chill met going to get the dvd out of the mailbox 😂
Wow, it’s definitely been a while since I’ve seen those! I guess that’s where it started.
I do understand the common vernacular says Netflix and chill has a meaning but so does chill and so does Netflix. I been on Netflix all weekend just chilling. All by myself. It irritates me that i can be accurate and be conveying something unintended or just wrong.
@OhioMike that's freaking hilarious. I remember those days 😂
@carrieanne I had no idea "Netflix and chill" had a hidden meaning. I'm like you--I don't get a lot of current slang either, lol.
@OhioMike Your picture sure brings back some memories.
I am going to add “Cuddle Comfort and Chill” to my profile.
I used Netflix when they first started in the late '90s when they were exclusively a DVD by mail service. Streaming video was unheard of yet as most people still had slow dial-up internet connections.
As for this topic I would say for the first couple of days of joining this site, I didn't know if this was a legit place where people meet and talking about cuddling. So I kept my profile empty figuring out if I wanted to put myself out there yet. But one of the first people I messaged wouldn't continue the conversation until I had filled out my profile. So I agreed that having one would make someone easier to trust and filled mine out.
In general I think someone who doesn't have one filled out means that they aren't seriously looking for a cuddle buddy as far as enthusiasts and if a pro doesn't have one filled out, I think they are only there to make money and not have a deeper connection. And the last group of people who don't have theirs filled out just means they are unsure if this is for them, whether or not to dive deeper and maybe would only be a red flag if it has been beyond a couple of months of then joining.
@OhioMike I remember those Netflix accounts via snail mail during the digital era rolling up and out. The box art logistics for the kiosks was even more insanity. Oh Netflix and Redbox kept me sooooooo busy I had no time to watch films outside of work and chill. Much happier it is digitial now but ol skool dvds and thumb drives are handy ICOIP (in case of internet problems)
Sparse profiles, take it with a grain of salt. Depends on the communications and ability to read my bio and/or visual aids when contacting for me vs an enthusiast or Pro to cuddle. Obvy they found the site and could make a profile. But the bigger question is what they do with it? It is about foundational capacities. How someone can build trust and or be vulnerable on their bio or in communications is a key element. It is skewed to enthusiasts aka non pros to have unlimited capacities to create numerous accounts and that is disheartening and clogs up the system here but adds to the numbers game. I am always evolving my bio and growing in my journey here. Thankful for the process and ability to add and update it without pause for approval. Great community but the stark profiles scream louder red flags than not, so it really is up to them to be able to message better and be clear and vulnerable to build trust. Many members have wrote pretty succinct/eloquent FAQ's and How To's to assist those lacking in communication and internet/digital trust skills as they can begin their cuddle journey/s on here without so much trepidation. It is about companionship and cuddling.
Sometimes it is hard to know what to say in your profile on websites such as these. I totally get it and never worry about their profile. I just ask questions once they reach out to me and that usually helps these individual to open up about themselves.
This post is a great example of why mine was blank for as long as it was (roughly 2 years), as i've been wanting to reply since i saw the initial post on the first day, but havent responded till now.
There are obviously a number of different reason, but the main one for me would be that I usually like to take a bit of time with things like this to craft a good response, but i get busy, so the result was that i was on here for just under 2 years before i finally took the time to sit down for an hour or so and write out my own about me section.
Im actually very grateful that the first few cuddlers I had sessions with took a chance on me, despite no pictures or bio immediately available. Though i will say that they all had their own separate requirements prior to the session (i.e. pictures sent in a dm, a short phone call, etc).
In a similar vein as jplemmon, i find it a difficult to describe myself/my personality; i dont like to talk about myself all that much, and just let people make their own assessment of who i am ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Also, to what westsidemarc said: part of why it took me so long as well, was that at the beginning i was just kind of getting a feel for the website, how things worked, how people interacted; and i also looked at A LOT of profiles to see how people crafted theirs, what type of info they put, what type of requirements they have of others who reach out, and just got a general feel of the entire experience here.
Another aspect, as others have pointed out, mainly in terms of pictures: Privacy. While i dont have any issues with the people im cuddling knowing what i look like (we are largely here to cuddle in-person afterall, they're going to know what you look like eventually), that doesnt mean i want, or that im even ok with, EVERYONE knowing what i look like. So if someone has a requirement of pictures in advance, im fine with that, its completely understandable and reasonable. Though i will say, personally im not entirely keen on having other things about me out there in the open either, such as my hobbies, likes/dislikes, or other information people may put in their bios, but i understand that's just part of the process here.
On top of that, I also want to make sure that there is little room for misinterpretation of what im saying, and everything is properly comminicated. There is always some potential for misunderstanding when it comes to putting things in written text, so i like to proof read things a million times just to see if there is potential for it coming off in a different way than i intended.
In my experience, it also seems that Pros are less picky (if that's the correct word) when it comes to profiles/bios/about me sections. Meaning that out of all the pros ive cuddled and reached out to, i think only 2 or so have actually looked at my profile beforehand. It seems that the majority likely have their own things that they look for, do, or verify before a session that doesnt explicitly include having a whole profile.
And then, i would say while i think a profile is a good thing to have for everyone, i'd put forth the argument that its more important for a Pro to have a proper About Me moreso than others due to them providing a service; they gotta have something that is put together well enough so that people feel comfortable putting out hundreds of dollars to have a session. Now to be clear, im not saying that it excludes others from having a bio or anything, its just that like i mentioned earlier, most Pros seem to have their own system in place so that if someone reaches out without a fully constructed profile, its not an issue. Though i will also conceed that having a proper profile can very well be a critera for a Pro 🤷♂️ w/e makes them feel the safest, as at the end of the day making sure everyone is safe and comfortable is the most important thing. We ARE all largely strangers after all.
That all being said, I completely understand how blank profiles can come off to others who see it, since i myself dont even consider reaching out to someone that has a completely blank profile. So im all for people having things that they require of someone else on here, regardless of who they are, even if its not explicitly put out there in their profile. I myself have a general critera i look for in a profile before trying to reach out, but it doesnt seem that for a lot of pros a blank profile is a deal breaker as long as you get along well in messages and are comfortable with each other.
Just posted an about me which makes me feel like an arrogant caveman but its what you wanted. Probably be deleted again soon. Pleasantly uncomfortable feeling.
