@cuddlefaery and @SunsetSnuggles thank you for sharing your experiences. I know I have definitely embarrassed myself when I got too comfortable with a person and misunderstood the situation, but it sounds like there are people who will purposely lure others into a false sense of security. I can barely keep up with normal social cues so I can't even imagine what a potential red flag for this inveigling individual would look like.
@MissAdventurous she A Goddess, Though .
@lesmis33 you're not alone, and the struggle to read social queues as a neurospicy person is REAL. All we can do is keep learning and keep trying, own our mistakes and make amends 🤷🏻♀️
The first person I got banned had tons of good karma haha I've also been asked for and left many very nice karma for one- off -whatever sessions and later seen them banned when they moved on to try their luck victimizing someone they perceived as weaker than me. The mental flash of the possible scenario along with whatever my role was in perpetuating it always made me a little nauseous.
I don't offer karma anymore unless I feel confident The person understands the ethos and pathos of cuddle and is completely sincere in their cuddle endeavors.
@cuddlefaery
I would still maintain that if you're an active pro etc. and you have almost no karma that either people aren't meeting you or their experiences with you are not good. Even if you never ask for it people are going to give it unless you're a nightmare to be with. Any other excuses I would consider sort of made up. Nevertheless, I generally do agree with others about taking karma with a grain of salt.

Quite a bit of discussion on this, I'll add 2. The first time i saw a person with 300 and plus, i found it hard to believe. I then had to dig in to see if there were clues to see what this pro was doing to "earn" all these great reviews. That's just where my mind went because it was such an outlier than what i had seen with the majority. What was be learned over time is that these particular people just take this very seriously and maybe are doing something special that makes them stand out, or just are very flexible with their times.
The other thought is it's difficult to trust the ratings. I think generally people default to 5 stars unless it was terrible experience. Very few people seem to be willing to give someone less than 5. I think that makes 5 less special.
I've seen a few 1 stars and it usually means, for whatEver reason they didn't meet. They schedule and the pro just flaked or the guy said or did something rude, creepy or suspect and the pro cancelled. Now for me to trust that 1 star i need more information.
I wonder if someone with more than 100 karma comments has any 1 star reviews? I doubt it. Now i don't examine all karma reviews but from what i have noticed is that 5 star and 1 star reviews are a little less honest than needed. Not that they are being deceitful, but not valuable. Either being too nice and gracious or intending to cause too much damage.
She didn't fart 5 stars She was taller than i expected 5 stars I told her my favorite color was blue she wore red 1 star My gps didn't work and she didn't call to make sure i was alright 1 star I noticed she used Pantene ick 1 star She let me fondle her butt 7 stars
Well at least that's how they seem to me
I honestly think the only way to realistically get accurate reviews is to have some way of preserving anonymity, maybe that the reviewed person couldn't actually view themselves. There are flaws to that as well of course but just brainstorming.
@BashfulLoner From what I've noticed, those with the highest Karma numbers have typically been on the site for five+ years (so it just makes logical sense), do this full-time (if a Pro), travel frequently with the sole purpose of meeting clients or established cuddle friends, or they live in one of the biggest cities in the US.
@jplemmon For sure; it's been suggested that Karma be held until five or so have been gathered, then published anonymously so it's harder to tell who wrote what, but every system/suggestion is pretty flawed, sadly. I think there's a lottt of room for improvement, in this area.
The irony of the karma bashing is so many pros will not cuddle with or require lots of jumping through hoops if you have no or little karma. And they state as much in their profiles.
I will add that I do not blame the pros that put that in their profile, because safety first. I just think it is pretty dismissive for anyone to say it means nothing or it is an ego trip. Karma does mean something if several people are using it as one of the many tools for gatekeeping. As such, harvesting good karma has made it incredibly easy to book now as opposed to years ago for myself. I reached out to a pro the other day who replied back, “Love your karma, when do you want to book?” So it definitely opens doors.
@BoomerSpooner I think it's easier for you to get cuddles cus you're you and people like you though more than anything . Karma may get your foot in the door but that's about it . It's @BoomerSpooner that leaves the good impression or not . And so far it all seems to be good stuff .
To be clear , I am not bashing the karma system . I just think it's weird to collect them like they are Pokemon cards , as some seem to do. It lacks sincerity .
@pmvines I understand that I am part of the component that gets in the door, but way too many people have mentioned my karma early on in messaging for that not to be a sizable consideration as well. And if they are saying that to me, they are saying that to others as well. And I understand your point about Pokeman karma collectors, but that is not what I was referencing. I also shake my head at those who collect it for the sake of collecting it. Karma is not the end all be all but it does enhance your opportunities whether we care to admit that or not. To a woman it means another woman vouched for you and they can at least reach out to them and ask questions. I trust women are smart enough to know that karma is not law, necessarily truthful, or even reflective of that person. But it is a history and a beginning to making a decision about that person. Just my two dollars. Opinions are not recession proof.
Pretty much no one would cuddle me based on my forum comments😂… I need my karma
@jplemmon 🤣🤣🤣 We all have our cross to bear.
ThorMjolnir is another one with tons of reviews.
@CuriousJoy Thor is a man on a mission. We have exchanged messages. Good dude.
Gotta say, I love the handle, "ThorMjolnir."
Y'all say the nicest things.
Connection is key, everything else, including karma reviews, are a bonus 😉
Happy Cuddling 💖
Karma demonstrates something, I'm not sure what though. More karma doesn't always mean "better." I find it interesting as a moderator when a person's ban appeal cites how many karma they have, when there is clear evidence of them breaking CC rules.
Zero karma seems like a valid reason for caution, multiple negative karma more so.
Positive karma can be vague, or it can give specific reasons why the writer liked another cuddler.
It's been stated before, but I recommend keeping your eyes and ears open regardless of the number of positive karma someone has.
@BoomerSpooner- If not reset, your karma would probably be in the tens of thousands (and rightly so)!! 🥰
While seeing a bunch of karma's on a potential clients profile mostly puts me at ease, I've definitely had not so great sessions with people who have had way more karma than me. Still vet the potential client/pro like you would anyone else!
I’ve actually been pondering this thread for a bit. I have an unpopular opinion about karma, in that I hate it. In my ideal world, my interactions would be kept between me and my partner. Any rule breaking/bad experiences can be worked through with the site mods and the block button.
If one of my partners leaves karma for me, I will reciprocate, because clearly it’s important to them. If I am asked if I want karma, my answer is absolutely not.
I also don’t use karma in my vetting process. I am responsible for my comfort level and safety, and I would hate for someone to feel responsible that I had a bad experience with someone they enjoyed.
Interesting thread indeed🪡
Yes, there is a possibility of a cuddler being real and legitimate with 300+ karmas ….. key word is “possible” not extremely common or the standard for any cuddler to obtain in the cuddle community.
Every cuddler is different as well as every cuddlers level of comfort with meeting so many people is different. Consideration needs be given, when we are learning how long the individual has been a cuddler. Have they been here doing this for years or months, do they take this as a full time position or a side gig, are they living and working in a super metropolitan area/city, do they offer group sessions, do they go to the cuddle 🤗 meet ups/parties planned through C.C. or maybe 🤔 just maybe were they an enthusiast/amateur cuddler before and they accepted a lot of free cuddles 🥰 for karma and then became pro etc. ?
In short, I am saying yes it is a possibility that some may have 300+ karmas and are legitimate just as there’s the possibility some have wiggled around legitimacy while displaying that they’ve worked/cuddled for their 300+ karmas.
~ Happy Cuddling everyone 🤗 ~
