I'm a non-pro woman on this site, and here's what I look for in a first message.

@CuddleDuncan I think your cool! Very even keeled and fair minded

  • Does anyone else here have ASD?? I got another gf again but she has ASD too.

  • @Rocket_Man there's a fair number of neurodivergent folks here, but what is your point in asking on this thread? I've seen you post the same question several times on seemingly random threads.

  • @Rocket_Man - Yeah you're better off starting a new thread if there isn't already one about your topic. I have ASD too btw.

  • I always wondered how many accounts are tied to one individual under pseudonyms invented to either check on someone, vet someone or other reasons.
9 times out of ten I will read a profile and message accordingly to what I read as initial communication with someone.
Sometimes I will message someone new with a brief statement or question simply because my gut is saying this seems off. Sometimes when I message I will not get a response, instead I will see a profile that has been gone awhile pop back up.
I say all that just to basically say I wont write a bunch of things to a new person or someone who hasnt written anything on their page simply because I feel there are doppelgangers on here.
But I am capable of having real conversation with real people.

  • @Mike403 - 💯. I would say it's a bit like job hunting: make a good impression, hope for the best, and know there are multiple pple applying. If you keep applying you will get a job - cuddle partners are not expendable and will go a long way after trust and mutual understanding is established.

I feel a lot of pple want instant gratification - they want to put two coins into a slot machine and for a can to roll out. Unfortunately, it's not that easy to build trust or a foundation to do something that requires a lot of vulnerability and even danger (physical or cyber).

I just book pros and message enthusiasts for the hell of it, don’t expect a response but someone might want to some day.

I totally get the mindset, if you’re someone who likes cuddling why do it for free when you can charge for it? You’re still making someone’s week either way

  • edited December 2023

@4TheSnugs I would for sure charge for cuddling if I knew I could get paid for it.

  • My profile is minimal for a reason.
    My request is rarely granted.
Tells me all I need to know.

  • "Don't assume I'm on board to meet you right away; consider my experience and safety"

This one is so annoying. Some I ignore and some I reply asking if they are available some other time. One that I ignored was the most recent. He randomly booked me for 24 hours saying he will be in town all day. Now I am a pro so I charge. 24 hours is a lot of money. But I was like something isn't right. He was banned like the next day or so. And then the ones that actually reply willing to agree on a time together after randonly assuming I can meet right away usually go ok. About to see one of those now.

Anywayz you will see a lot here. But hope you will meet some great cuddlers!

  • The site really needs to change the button to not say “book now” or whatever it currently says. It really confuses people into thinking that pros are on call and available that day. It encourages behavior that everyone doesn’t want to see here, and I don’t know why mods haven’t changed it yet.

Just make it a normal “message” button instead.

  • This is so well written and I’m happy you did all the work to communicate what I feel in my heart. My heart goes out to the guys though and I try to give the benefit of the doubt more now that I have more experience. A lot of times the guys are great even though their message was not the best. I’m pretty motivated to cuddle so I don’t mind putting in more work to show them I’m serious. It’s nice when that work pays off. Sometimes, sadly a lot of times, it doesn’t.

  • @bobadevotee
The button word does not matter.
Many pro profiles here require a date and time in the first message.
    I am a non-professional.
I have never seen a female nonprofessional profile here say:
—Send a date and time in the first message.—
    Our button says:
    —Send Message.—
    Thursday I was sent:
    —Are you available?—
    Like he is booking me.
    No conversations.

He did copy&paste my required verbiage.

    I only cuddle platonically.
Conversations and a recent photo of you are required before we meet in public, no exceptions.

    Then he sent:
    —Are you available?—
    No.
    That is not a conversation.
The button word does not matter.

  • The original post should be required reading for all the men when they join. I used to have pictures on my profile but removed them for privacy because it turned into a full blown rizz-fest with older men creeping, making comments about my appearance, begging to meet up, offering to pay me money and even offering to buy me plane tickets to fly across the country to meet them.

Even after removing my pictures, I still get endless messages from men but now they're the empty generic ones described in the discussion like "free tonight?" or "let's cuddle" without an introduction or any basic courtesy on how to talk to someone they don't know.

A man literally just asked to cuddle without saying anything else and shared a picture of him holding a toddler. That got me really upset and share about it here.

Taking a break from this site. Happy Winter Break/Holidays!

  • A charisma-fest? (rizz-fest) Not sure I understand that part, but I definitely understand the part about taking a break. I
just muted my profile again for similar reasons. It's almost enough to make me feel rundown and demeaned. It seems like an epidemic of humans that don't have any idea how to start speaking to another human.

Too many people thinking that treating this as transactional is preferred. Of course, for all I know maybe 51% of people
here do prefer that. I hope not.

  • @achetocuddle transactional is just fine. But it still requires manners and professionalism.

If I need to hire a service, I still have to follow their business practices. There’s usually an intake form, information I have to provide, and I say please and thank you, when hiring a contractor for a job.

Trust me, the transactional nature isn’t the problem. These guys aren’t messaging “hi” or “wyd tonight?” when they need to hire a plumber.

  • @achetocuddle That sucks Clay Aiken. Hope you get more positive experiences in the future. Hny.

@bobadevotee Yes, I tend to agree a lot with your posts. I also like your stringent adherence to your principles. 💯

  • Majority of the women get so much attention on this site that it really doesn't even matter what I or other men send, many of our messages won't get opened anyways, let alone get a reply back. That's why I stopped sending messages. I'd encourage other men to do the same and instead just hug and cuddle yourself or your dog/cat. Understand that you are invisible if you can't magically stand out in a sea of potentially tens or hundreds of messages. You will have much more success getting safe and fulfilling affection from a loving pet than some stranger online, as a man. Not to mention you won't have to pay for a cuddle, something others in the real world get for free.

That being said, nothing I mentioned excuses low-effort messages regardless. If you still choose to message someone, you should put forth the effort, not some shit like "yo whatup". It's just most times it's not worth the effort to even send one.

  • That being said, nothing I mentioned excuses low-effort messages regardless.

    Yo! You are right.

  • To be fair it's not a dating site. If a client (for example) is paying me to provide a service I won't care about the minutia.
If I'm actually looking for a date (on another site for ex) that will make a difference in the grand scheme. Here someone needs a cuddle pal and they've come to pay for that service.

While everyone isn't obligated to reply, I don't think people's messages should impact much since this is for a provide cuddle service.

Imagine if once people cuddled they can rate your cuddling or they could prorate the fee based on what they thought of the service. I think people just don't seem to feel (or want) to make the process complicated at times because they are simply looking to cuddle and relax.

Again, this is simply my personal view not law. If someone pays me to make a steak, they have a little more say over how I cook the steak since they are paying me for a service.

This type of service is unique since there are other concerns but it's still a business or service that someone would be paying their money for.

  • Indeed. Sigh.

  • Doing all the right things won’t guarantee you’ll get a response, when dealing with humans it’s hard to guarantee anything.

Taking the advice here when messaging will
Increase the chance you’ll get responses

If after a lot of attempts and patience you still can’t find a cuddler, you’ll have to go back to the drawing board

  • @sunnysideup I think I'm at around my 5th drawing board at this point!
