I have to agree with Brandi.
This whole concept was founded on the idea of cuddle 'therapy'. The idea that you are cuddling for therapeutic reasons. To provide some kind of healing to the cuddl-ee. Wearing nothing but underwear to me is a clear boundary crosser. I don't find doing so immoral or even personally offensive. I do find it insulting to this new world of professional cuddling. I don't see how someone being in their underwear has to do with receiving emotional support?? It was the idea that companionship is more important than sex. I don't think you could ask someone in any other business to provide their service while in their underwear. Because doing so implies that it's not about the service at all.
I don't see professional cuddling ever taking off as a legitimate business unless it becomes regulated. Escorts are a good example of this. This is a business now tainted by women who were willing to offer more than just companionship.
There is nothing any of us can do to stop professional cuddlers from offering pantied sessions or more. Or stop women from being provoked by the sight of money to say no to such offers. What we can do is be honest with ourselves and to others as to what we really want. If you are not wanting some kind of emotional therapy through platonic cuddling than you shouldn't really be here or any other cuddle site for that matter. Go get an escort. As for the legit professionals, you can only emphasize the concept of it being a therapy session and always have your rules laid out ahead of time.
When you bring money into anything, you perverse it. That's just a fact of life.
I know I'm a bit late to the discussion, but personally, I feel that this is up to the discretion of the cuddlers (pro or non pro) and if both parties are comfortable with it. I know some people like / want more skin on skin contact. I know people want cuddling to have a good image. However, when you see a client give a pro cuddler money, to a bystander, they may think the client paid for something else. Just my thoughts.
@Cuddlebug7458 Skin contact is great for releasing oxytocin, but the client contract is pretty clear: "Both parties will remain clothed the entire session. Undergarments do not constitute as sufficient clothing."
There can still be plenty of skin contact with shorts and a tank top.
Interesting how poster revived two long ago dead threads about underwear and then right away deleted account
Closing thread again as a user seems to have come to post in it to stir things up again only to delete their account right after doing so.
