Yes Mark, Brandi charges similar to others on here.  That is not the point.  The point is Brandi and other so-called pros on here are worried about the impression made, of cuddling being linked to prostitution, etc.  When you charge prices close to what these other so-called pros (e.g. massage parlors) are charging for an easy money job that requires no training or real experience, then you are sending that impression already.

Mark how about use a template for pro's which forces them to list their ' services' as bare minimum and set the charcter count toinimum 300 -500 words...
  • Brandi, I just had to look you up just to see what on earth you could have written in your profile that would draw so much visceral hate.  And?  I fully stand with you. Your profile is generous with the kind of detail that counts, and normal in every way. Your comments here have been sincere and heartfelt and sensibile. Clearly there are a lot of men here who have anger issues and social inadequacies that are reinforcing (chicken and egg), and that is NOT your problem. My god. This is a social forum in a free country (getting less so, it seems!) where you (and I) are free to express ourselves. Your boundaries are strong and clear, and so are your values. You are free to charge whatever you like, wear whatever you see fit without your "morality" (whatever that means, and who the hell are they to judge?) being questioned and state your beliefs, and the kind of trolling that goes on here is merely reflective of the average drivel that comes into women's inboxes on any given day. And the men who rail at the gender disparities here? Clueless.
Mark, I signed up two weeks ago and have found a cuddle buddy who's a standout in every way, and for that I thank you. I'm going to deactivate my profile now because, honestly, who needs the moronic hate in high evidence here? Not your fault.

Brandi, you rock and and you rule. Peace out.

    @Cuddleready

It's reasonable for Pros to worry about that association based on the fact cuddling happens to be an intimate activity.

You seem to be creating an unreasonable association simply because you think their market value is similar. That doesn't appear to be the case anyway - the average cost of prostitution is $260/hour (The Economist, 2014).

Concerning @brandi The hostility that many have directed at her has very little to do with money or any link cuddling may have to do with prostitution. I'm not quite sure how the tail end of this thread took a turn in that direction. The issue that many have with her is how rude and as condescending she is. If anyone disagree's with her faulty interpretation of the rules, she will attack you and insult you. She does not care about anyone's opinion but her own. She is not an angel and many people on here know things about her but have been polite enough to not expose her.
  • @brandi is passionate about what she does and wants to see cuddling evolve into a legitimate profession. She is opinionated and speaks her mind but I don't fault her for that. She is on a growth path herself.

I've been lurking on the forums for the past few days and whenever I see the conversations get this heated, I just have to laugh. You guys are awesome to be so invested in this stuff.

I have to agree with Brandi.

This whole concept was founded on the idea of cuddle 'therapy'. The idea that you are cuddling for therapeutic reasons. To provide some kind of healing to the cuddl-ee.  Wearing nothing but underwear to me is a clear boundary crosser. I don't find doing so immoral or even personally offensive. I do find it insulting to this new world of professional cuddling. I don't see how someone being in their underwear has to do with receiving emotional support??  It was the idea that companionship is more important than sex.  I don't think you could ask someone in any other business to provide their service while in their underwear.  Because doing so implies that it's not about the service at all.

I don't see professional cuddling ever taking off as a legitimate business unless it becomes regulated. Escorts are a good example of this. This is a business now tainted by women who were willing to offer more than just companionship.

There is nothing any of us can do to stop professional cuddlers from offering pantied sessions or more. Or stop women from being provoked by the sight of money to say no to such offers. What we can do is be honest with ourselves and to others as to what we really want. If you are not wanting some kind of emotional therapy through platonic cuddling than you shouldn't really be here or any other cuddle site for that matter. Go get an escort. As for the legit professionals, you can only emphasize the concept of it being a therapy session and always have your rules laid out ahead of time.

When you bring money into anything, you perverse it. That's just a fact of life.

@aaronchi does being passionate forgive someone for being rude and condescending?
  • [Deleted User]thecigarclub (deleted user)
@njcuddledevil so taking all that you said into consideration, does that give @brandi the right to be rude, insulting, judgmental and condescending? Or could she possibly be more polite and tactful in her approach?

@brandi need to choose her words more ,think about her clients ...and what she said reflect badly rather than just opinion

I never ever see myself paying g for such a thing ! be it cuddle or sex.

If I ever did it Def would not be a pro cuddler but a escort at least she be grateful if it was non sexual and I wouldnt think i get a lecture off her for boundaries .Sorry but on what ground's is going rate $80 -100 ph the rate , average person doesn't earn that p/h who are highly qualified and have REAL profession/skills

For what escorts charge at least it's validated with what they do/offer... and have experience on their side. Sorry but

Again this is about challenging the entire industry, not about individual professionals here who are simply conforming to the norms and market value. I would strongly recommend a thread dedicated to the subject.

Temporarily closing this now to prevent any further off-topic debates.

I know I'm a bit late to the discussion, but personally, I feel that this is up to the discretion of the cuddlers (pro or non pro) and if both parties are comfortable with it. I know some people like / want more skin on skin contact. I know people want cuddling to have a good image. However, when you see a client give a pro cuddler money, to a bystander, they may think the client paid for something else. Just my thoughts.

  • @Cuddlebug7458 Skin contact is great for releasing oxytocin, but the client contract is pretty clear: "Both parties will remain clothed the entire session. Undergarments do not constitute as sufficient clothing."

There can still be plenty of skin contact with shorts and a tank top.

  • Interesting how poster revived two long ago dead threads about underwear and then right away deleted account

  • Closing thread again as a user seems to have come to post in it to stir things up again only to delete their account right after doing so.
