Watching Movies

What movie(s) you just happen to watch whenever you are bored but don't have a desired movie you want to watch.

For instance, I have two atm. If I'm on Netflix no desire to watch a certain movie but happen to see either Moneyball (Brad Pitt) or The Founder (Micheal Keaton) I tend to watch them or have to tell myself no, watch another movie. I have watch both at least 5 times randomly and just love watching them for some reason.

  • I try to only watch movies I am really interested in. There's a neverending stream out there, so they can become quite time-consuming.

My boyfriend and I usually watch a movie a couple times a month, and it's always something we've never seen but wanted to, or something one of us loves and wants to share with the other. 😊

I watched Shiva Baby, because I was bored in a 5 hour flight....and it was superb! But I already had it in my to "eventually watch" list so it was as I was expecting. If I do just go with someone that's on and I don't mind spending two hours with, it would probably be something like "The day after Tomorrow" or any Terminator movie. πŸ˜„

@panda619 ugh I love the Mexican cooking shows on tubi too!! Good call!!

  • @SunsetSnuggles I wouldn't call myself a movie buff per say but I love to watch movies. I used to make a binder of all the movies I bought and make little cards for them. Last time I counted I have over 300 dvd/blu rays lol. If I watch something with the wife either she has too choose or there is a mutual new movie we haven't watched but want to.

@hoping4snugs that is quiet the eclectic list of movies lol. You could say I stick to the marvel movies at lot as well but I do enjoy a bunch of different movies. The worst is when I want to watch something while I eat but I take so long to choose my food gets cold.

@DulceLuna when my step dad used to have the movie channels back in the day and Day after tomorrow was on, ooooh boy I was fast to play it lol. It was one of my first dvds I purchased. I do enjoy the first two terminators but I think as bad as it is salvation was my favorite lol.

  • @Sheena123 Somehow I don't think they were talking about food.

I like watching new movies, mainly comedy or romance

  • @Unscented_Lemon sure they were! Spicy 🌢️ caliente lol obviously shows about hot foods local near him maybe πŸ€”

  • @la_dragonaaa I constantly keep an eye out for new movies to watch. I definitely still love the theater experience.

  • The Shining, Election, The Breakfast Club, and Clockwatchers. These movies are also great to fall asleep too in a lazy weekend day.

  • @ninjaturtle102 Marvel Movies are great! Also the new Loki thing on Disney Plus. I have lost track of how many times I seen the Guardians Series as well (both Guardians of Galaxi and Rise of the Guardians). I don't have a ton of time these days but will often spend an hour watching trailers then go to bed.πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ.

  • @ninjaturtle102, lol, I have a binder too! Well, binderS because I have a separate one for television series and stand up comedy. πŸ‘πŸΌ

  • Right now I'm binging Blue Bloods. Occasionally I like going to the theatre. One movie that I'd like that I can watch over and over and I don't know why is Iron Man. I haven't watched it in a while. I usually want to watch something that I haven't seen yet. I like action, movies and sci-fi and fantasy. Also occasionally horror movies. Comedy and stand-up also.

  • I forgot to mention that my watching habits have changed so much since the days of streaming/DVR started. I can remember remember before DVR I would have to watch whenever it was on or just catch what was playing unless I had it recorded. I cable 2013. Then I had gotten a girlfriend that wanted to watch stuff so I got Netflix and you get to choose whenever you want and that's almost how everything is now for me. I never have to play roulette and see what's on.the only thing that I just realized that I put on like if I'm making lunch before going to work or such is unwrapped. The show about how different food items are made.

  • @billiam I was not a fan of the shining. I don't if it the age of the movie or the pace I just could not get into it. Having those movies to fall asleep to is always a comforting feeling.

@hoping4snugs I've seen every marvel movie at least twice lol. I've cut back on my trailer watching quite a bit. I'll watch them once or twice and try to stay away from rumors or spoilers. They hurt my Spider-Man no way home experience.

@Witcheeboo3K I haven't added to my in years. Ever since I got into streaming my collection died.

@Bear iron man is a good movie. Whoever thought it would actually lead to endgame when it came out. I'm into anything if it looks good or at least interesting. I really liked the fall guy. Streaming has really changed a lot for me. I never thought i was going to get into it, then it happened.

  • Terminator 2: Judgment Day is always a good watch!

  • @StillAwkward24 I honestly cannot remember the last time I watch t2. Its not that I dislike it, probably more of not remembering it to watch or seeing it on streaming.

  • Basically anything Studio Ghibli is always a solid pick for me on days like that 🀘🏻 Princess Mononoke is my favorite 😍

  • @Runawaycuddles I am always intrigued by their movies. I can say they aren't my first choice but I will watch them with a open mind. Princess Mononoke is one of @Sheena123 's favorites as well.

We bought these figures twice but I took a couple on a walk with me to take pictures of.

  • [Deleted User]Fematheist (deleted user)

Hahahaha!! Those little figurines are the cutest!!! lol

I like to re-watch Gladiator, Last of the Dogmen, Windtalkers, The Negotiator, and the Equalizer movies with Denzel Washington! I admit that I have seen "300" eight separate times...never, never gets old!!! Oh! And John Carter and Predator vs Alien!! << LOVE these!!

I should probably go to sleep now! lol

  • @ninjaturtle102 Omggg so cuuuute!!! 😍😍😍

  • @Fematheist they also glow in the dark lol. That's quite the list. I know I have more, i think it just comes down to if it's on streaming. I hate to say that but unfortunately that's how things are now lol. I have never seen John Carter or last of the dogmen. Windtalkers took me a minute to remember it. For some reason that movie lives rent free in my head. Every so often the plot pops up in my head and I remember it.

My mom has a binder with the inserts of all her TV series. Both of us have an Excel document with our movie titles listed, that correspond to numbered sleeves in acrylic boxes that house our DVD collections. Tremendously space-saving.

  • @SunsetSnuggles My God I thought my binder was a lot lol. I do have my dad's listed on my phone as well. Part of that is because I have about 10% in florida and 90% here in Canada. I stopped making cards when I was having a hard time printing them. I don't think I've bought a DVD or blu Ray since 2018/19.

  • Faceoff was great.

β€œDress up like Halloween and Ghouls will try to get in your pants.”

  • These are old movies but worth watching-The In Laws with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin-Brubaker-Robert Redford- and probably the most underated Gangster Genre films of all time Heat-with Robert Deniro and Al Pacino
Also Midnight Run with Robert Deniro- 2 Comedies -In Laws and Midnight Run

  • @Morpheus I've been wanting to watch faceoff again. I think I last saw it on streaming it was on prime but with how stupid prime is and having to pay to watch movies from time to time, I didn't watch it.

@BrianOcean everyone has their movies they watch lol. When I was younger I was more open to watching older movies. A few I can think of enjoying were MA and PA Kettle, then Hatari with John Wayne.

  • I miss watching old school movies homeward bound little monsters honey I shrunk the kids big trouble in little China little shop of horrors etc

  • @FutureHeart2023 I loved homeward bound and honey I shrunk the kids. I grew up watching them non stop. The third shrunk the kids where they grew their baby by accident, was probably the one I watched the most only because it was easily accessible lol.
