Age liars

What do you do when you encounter people who lie about their age on CC? Do you feel/treat it differently when it is a woman vs a man who is lying?

  • I guess as many say in here if it’s platonic does it matter? Or are we talking enthusiast versus professional? If professional then would it e considered egregious as if one didn’t disclose gender status?

@supadupa not sure why you are trying to make this about gender when I clearly asked about age

No, I treat everyone the same. In general men and women have lied to me about the age. I make a mental note, see if other words and actions match and focus on other positive attributes for the connection. Connection and energy matter more than age. Most people I cuddle are older than me. Despite my young age of 37, some men and women younger than me (ages in the 20s) have decided not to cuddle. I respect their preferences and still honest about age. It happens more often to my older friends/cuddle buddies.

  • I don't think there are many men who would bother to lie about their age (except to maintain a bit of anonymity)

I do think there are many women over a certain age that do lie about their age. They shouldn't have to, but society makes them feel that they need to. If I met someone who I did not think was the age stated, I would not say a word about it.

  • I know there are some women on the site that say they are 10-15 years younger because they kept getting gross inquiries from men about mommy kinks…. So there’s that.

@Mr_Cuddle_Bear i know for certain you are wrong. Men lie about their age all the time to try and attract younger women.

@Sheena123 no argument. men men are gross

  • @natickben , then those guys are the problem.

  • Most of the women who I've met on here don't post their correct age - for example, posted age of 29 when actual age is 36. Or posted age of 36 when actual age is 42.

I've asked why, and been told that when women post their true age over a given decade mark, it lowers interest from men on the site i.e. a 36 year old gets more attention than a 42 year old woman, 29 more than 36 etc

Make of that what you will.

  • My thoughts would be why lie on a cuddle site about your age? It seems pretty pointless

  • @natickben , I should also clarify that I'm talking generally about female pros/male customers.
I don't have any experience with the hobbyist side of the site.

  • @natickben some men may lie but if they are hiring a professional cuddler why would they lie about their age? They are paying so it doesn’t really matter.
If a cuddle is platonic, then it shouldn’t matter if a woman or man lie about their age. Since no funny business will go on. The same way people say men should cuddle other men because it’s platonic even if the men are straight. I see them as the same thing.
And there are definitely cougars out there so couldn’t we say women are gross too and not just men? We do live in a equal society.

Birthdays are gross. So is Yoo Hoo

  • Birthdays are gross

Only if your name is Baggins

  • I don't do anything. I don't really pay attention to if they lie. No way to prove it.

  • I love birthdays, each one makes me older and wiser.
I don’t know if anyone here knows my real age and it doesn’t matter, I don’t even remember it half the time because it’s irrelevant here. Mine changes based on my current state of mind. I’ve been stuck at 29 for a really long time though, Because that was my favorite age, my favorite time of my life.
Just know that I’m older than some people here. And that’s just fine with me. I can warn some of you about what to expect in the future. I’m also learning things that I didn’t have any idea of until I joined this site. And my age has actually never been a problem here. I consider it like a lot of other things - given on a need to know basis. If I look too old, then find someone younger.
    😊🤗

  • @Jubal I heard the same marketing strategy

  • An academic study of an online dating site (yes, I know CC is not a dating site) found that men frequently lie about their height and income while women frequently lie about their weight. Either that or the dating website attracted a disproportionate percentage of tall, wealthy men and skinny women. The statistical analysis (performed by Dr. Daniel Ariely, the author of “Predictably Irrational”) also showed Caucasian women were by far the most likely demographic group on the dating site to discriminate against people contacting them on the basis of race.

  • @g_w_t_w. Love your attitude.

@Sheena123 Yeah that mommy kink thing pops up routinely. Fortunately they get banned pretty quickly.

I am clear on my age and want prospective cuddle partners to be as well. Meeting someone significantly younger would be a problem for me and a waste of both parties time.

  • I don't treat either any different. I'll usually ask why. I'm curious why people do what they do. It's either insecurity, or their own assumption that a lack of response is because of age, weight etc. It pains me how self-deprecating people can be, it just makes me want to cuddle them. Which may be a tactic in itself?

@JohnR1972 Wait .. you mean all those men aren't really 6'2", hiking, motorcycle riding, big fish catching honest guys? 🤣

I'd rather someone pass on by from the beginning than be disappointed in person. That would just be weird. I'm thrilled I've made it to 50.
    Short squishy and proud 😁

  • I generally don’t care what age females list in their profiles. If I’m interested, it’s not based on age. I do find it amusing how many women on here lie about their age. Well, they’re either liars or they’ve had hard lives 🤣

    @Sheena123

gross inquiries from men about mommy kinks

Are women who lie about their ages to appear younger and appeal to younger women/girl kink, not gross?

  • I have met both male and female users who personally told me that they lie about their age on this site. I have not reported them.

Their reasoning was so that they fall within their perception of the "preferred" age bracket, when others are running searches.

Personally, I don't care how old anyone is. I've cuddled 18-75.

However, honesty is important to me, so lying about your age is a red flag, obviously.

If people are shallow enough to care about three to six years difference, why would you try so hard to appeal to them, anyway? 🤨

I like to cuddle people who know and accept me, exactly as I am. Not because I've snuck past their ageism with smoke and mirrors, filters, and lies.

  • The only thing I really do if someone admits to lying about their age is ask why. 🤔 Our culture glorifies youth and shames age in everyone, especially women, but usually it has more to do with people trying to game the system to find the right fit for themselves personality-wise.

I don't think it really matters so long as it's not an underage person claiming they're older to get past a site requirement or something. Everyone has their age preferences for who they wanna cuddle for various reasons and that's cool, but trying to get around those preferences or requirements secretly becomes a consent issue and that's no bueno. 😬

In the typical cases I see the main issue is it can make honest communication and building trust more difficult if they're not upfront about it. It's a very different thing if they come clean about it right away, before you meet in person, and explain their reasoning...than if they wait months before admitting it. In the first situation it's a little underhanded, but understandable in my opinion and I choose how to move forward on a case by case basis, but in the second it can be difficult to overcome the weirdness it tends to bring up.
It's less shitty in platonic settings like this one of course because there's less at stake, but in any situation it tends to have more to do with an unhealed personal insecurity, and not having all the facts ahead of time can sometimes lead to some volatile situations. 🤷🏼

  • For myself, I see lying as a red flag. One flag may not be the end all... but seeing a flag regardless if gender makes me more cautious.

  • This guy claims to be 48 on his profile but says that he is 47 when messaging me. He is probably much older and lying about his age altogether.

Markered over his face and username so it is okay to share in the forum.

  • Don't see the need to make such a big deal over age. Many people lie about their age because of age discrimination etc.
It's not like we are here to find life partners or get married. So why care ?
Worry if they lie about any prior stints in prison etc. But age ? So silly to care

This was incredibly combative for the comment it was aimed at. I can see why it was flagged as a personal attack. Comment removed. [Shake]

  • @trixster
With a "one-year" age difference like that, all it likely means is he didn't input his real birthdate, upon registration. Many people do this, for privacy/paranoia reasons. Maybe he changed it by a week or a month, but I doubt his intent was to lie about his age; simply to not have his full, accurate birthdate in the system.

  • Jesus… I was just giving a reason based off my own knowledge of people I knew personally…. I’m sorry I said anything….

Ageism. As a pro, I’ve seen so many people lie about their age. Is it a problem? It could potentially be if you’re lying about something so simple. You’re setting the tone for non-genuine connections on a platonic site. As I’ve studied psychology there are so many ways this conversation can go, but my thing is- why lie in the first place? There are many people on this site with different preferences so I don’t see the need to lie about your age. To each their own I guess.

I do agree with @SunsetSnuggles @Sheena123 perspectives on this topic.
