By the way, do you enjoy going to poetry events to listen to others or just reading or writing?

Personally, I enjoy writing it like once in a blue moon, I've since transitioned more to songwriting. Though I feel listening to it read may not be my cup of tea. I realized this after attending an event where there was one reader who read one or two. My brain just started drifting and I started feeling kinda bored. Though I remained polite and applaud, because that was still a job well done even if my brain couldn't handle it. I'm not just yet gonna knock it though, I think I'd give it a few more tries and see if I feel differently.

I don't have an affinity or much interest in reading it too. However, I feel that way about pretty much every reading material lol. Though, I'm interested to hear about your experiences, and how you came to love poetry in whichever way you do. Maybe I'll also get to read some of yours if you share any. Perhaps you never tried and would like to? 😊

    I enjoy writing poetry in my free time. Don’t really read poetry but listen to a lot of old rap. Tupac Shakur comes to mind. Also loved watching Mohammad Ali trash talk. He was so smooth with words.

    I have been asking a bunch of people for help in poetry.

    I enjoy some uses of language. The ballad of Mike Hagar is the one I am currently thinking fondly of.

    I also enjoy The Darkest Dungeon.
