Incomplete Profiles

I have seen many profiles that have limited information, like just age, gender and city or just state they are in. Should we presume they are scammers? Also is there a time limit for those that have not been online for several months or years?

I am a first time Poster and hope I am inline with commenting on these things. Also there has been a fair number of no response from whom I have communicated to.

I wouldn't presume they are scammers straight up and they may come back to fill it out some more but they wouldn't get my interest.

Not aware on a time limit, I have definitely seen months and I feel like I have seen inactive profiles for years.

  • Thank you!

  • There are multiple posts about this or similar subjects about people who don't reply or have not been on in awhile. You can filter out those people when you do a search. I just search people who have been on for a month or less. If they don't have, a picture or filled out profile I usually don't bother too much because they seem uninterested in going further.

  • Maybe scammers, maybe just lazy, maybe looking for non-platonic, etc.

  • I have seen many profiles that have limited information...

    "Off with their heads!"

  • I think more has to be considered than just a limited profile if trying to determine if someone is a scammer. I’ve been here for 9 years and my profile is blank. There are a lot of things that I look at when determining if I’m going to see someone or not. If I don’t see a profile but something catches my eye, I would try to message them and see what type of communication ensues and then go from there.

  • @TxTom Lol. Yeah, that would be over the top. Generalizing about it is not accurate, but I think it's easier to stay safe by avoiding those profiles. A lot of it comes down to if a person feels like drawing out the person with limited info and vetting stringently always. Of course, if a person really wants to be safe, they could avoid all profiles or just not be here.

That was pretty funny. No doubt there are probably a few people here that really do think their heads should come off.

  • Sometimes people just don’t know what to say. It’s new to them. It doesn’t have to mean they’re bad at all. Or have ulterior motives.
Filling in the blanks is what messaging is for.
When I made my new profile, I decided to not say much. Maybe I was too tired to.
I’ve remembered when people have said here that the really long long detailed profiles are exhausting to read. I guess had that when I was a Pro. But now I don’t have to!! Yayy

  • I think really long profiles are not only tiring but also tell me that I won't be compatible with them. It's nice to find that out right away.

It's true that some people don't know what to say. How many profiles have you seen that say my friends would say I'm (fill in the blank)? I've seen a lot.

I do think some people are too tired to say a lot in their profile.

There is also a difference in a profile with limited info and no photo and limited info with a photo. To me the one with the photo has been more worth messaging and more rewarding.

I think if someone has doubts about their vetting ability they should avoid the limited profiles.

  • My profile is blank for privacy. No pictures and no bio. But I still get so many messages.

@trixster It's all in your demographic. A young lady that likes Kung Fu Panda is bound to get lots of attention. An old retired guy might get one message a year from a potential cuddler.

  • Some people love a challenge, and mystery. They might message a blank, no photo profile because there’s no reason to reject them.

  • I have seen some pros with no bio, it always surprises me when I see it. I would like to know a little about someone's personality or interests before booking a cuddle. I imagine they would also want to talk about themselves to convince and explain why cuddling with them would be a great experience. With nothing to go on, its hard to say if we would match each other's energy well....Female pros probably get plenty of attention with nothing written, but still feels weird to me not to have anything listed.

  • I suspect they are just looking to see if they even want to participate i. Any of this. Most probably decide not to after the first 40 messages, or reading the forums. I doubt they are scammers because they aren't even trying, the scam takes a little effort.

Believe it or not there are scary people in the forums and in messages, I've heard it described anywhere from weird to super mean. From forum fights to creepy messages we aren't as welcoming as we'd like to think and some aren't gonna tolerate it and split.

  • Absolutely very interesting perspective
being given here. I truly appreciate it. I have been a victim of a scammer from other online sites/apps. I guess I am just paranoid having it occur again.

  • @Kegman Take precautions to not get scammed. Some won’t prepay for a cuddle, just pay in cash when you arrive. Go with reputable cuddlers that have plenty of good karma. Go with your gut, if you have a bad feeling about it, back out. Follow the rules on here, and only see those who follow the rules, no exchanging contact info before a booking, platonic only, and so on.

  • @trixster You are an 18 year old woman in Austin, TX. You would get a lot of messages no matter what. And glad for you. I hope they are mostly good.

@Kegman We really do want to help. Knowing you have been a victim of a scammer makes me want to discourage you from limited info profiles even more. Maybe get more experience before getting involved with limited info ones. Also what @BashfulLoner said.

  • @trixster
Your age could scare away a lot of men here (and it should Unless they are in their 20s, maybe)
Maybe you should take a self defense class, just please be careful 😊🤗

  • g_w_t_w I agree with that! And I enjoy your posts.
