Waking up to a blue sky!

I miss times past and wonder where we are going as a society! I suggest we all slow down and take the time to look up at the stars everyday, especially on a Summer day when the sky is so blue and the positivity of a new day! Today I was thinking about the warmness of a good hug---the power of human touch is remarkable! It lets one slow down and breathe! Cuddle comfort is a wonderful community---not sure that discussions are for idiots like me to just ramble--but I can;t stop myself (a freshly baked oatmeal cookie is the only way to get me to shut-up). Back to the discussion, its amazing to how divided the country and world have become. I'm fortunate to have grownup during the Beatles later years. As they say--"all the world needs love). I see cuddle comfort aligned to that philosophy---its not a hook-up site--but it is a wonderful environment for people are just looking to connect through human touch. Animals set a great example---I admire my dogs understanding of the world by taking the time to smell flowers and resisting my attempts to pull her around until she's satisfied! Cuddle comfort is a wonderful environment for people to spiritual connect. The power of human touch is absolutely amazing! No wonder why my coon hound is always trying to sleep with me!

  • @dennis22554 Should oatmeal cookies have nothing in them, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or be ruined with raisins?

    And yes to the rest.

  • Im always letting people down--I insist on the raisins being a rebel

  • LOL, I was just thinking about being the first to say cookies should be ruined with raisins but dennis beat me to it. I do think people either love raisins or hate them, no in-between.

    I do think many people would be more satisfied if they slowed down but don't realize what a difference it would make.
    And while you are looking at the stars, look at clouds too if you don't have to spend all your daylight hours at a job.
    Clouds are so interesting and varied. They bring peace to me in a similar way to being around trees.

  • @achetocuddle Raisins are oppressed grapes. Your right, no in between. This girl likes her oatmeal cookies plain or with chocolate chips. Mmm

    @dennis22554 Peace, Love, and Rock n' Roll. Keep taking in the sky and getting hugs. There is nothing better than slowing down eccept for getting some human contact is well.

  • Don't hate me, but I love raisins in all there forms. Love them plain and love them in baked goods.

    @hoping4snugs @achetocuddle
    Benny and Joon was hilarious!

  • Never had an oatmeal raisin cookie that I liked. Chocolate chunk for me, please.

  • Wait maybe I’m confused. Are we saying what cookie we would prefer? Chocolate chunk over oatmeal raisin or are we saying what we would put in our oatmeal cookie?

  • Whatever you put in your cookies, I think we can agree that if you're up watching the sunrise and eating cookies, you've either got something going right or you're a student desperately trying to finish an assignment that's due in 3 hours.

  • @starrynitecuds I didn't see that movie but that is funny. And I've had some bad twisty raisins.

    @unoffensivename I love your username. Does that and your About Me section work for you? Truly curious. Baked raisins are so good. Even stewed raisins. I bet that sounds gross to some, but raisins cooked in any form are as good as raw. One time my sis was eating raisin oatmeal cookies my mom made and she picked the raisins out. I said give to me and I'll eat them. Even the baked raisin by itself is good. I have raisin-itis, ha ha.

    @Unscented_Lemon Lol.

  • Oatmeal cookies with milk chocolate chips, please!

  • No raisins. These!!

  • I don’t eat cookies very often but when I do my preference is macadamia nut cookies or “no bake” cookies.

    I absolutely agree about the slowing down part. My primary job allows me a lot of schedule flexibility and for most of the past 5 months I have basically been working 2 full time jobs due to a big contract my consulting business landed last December. I worked a lot of 16 hour days over the past few months but I always knew it was temporary and things were going to slow down around Memorial Day (which they did).

    Over Memorial Day weekend I did a cycling and cuddling marathon with a friend. We saw lots of blue skies as we rode along old rail roads that had been converted to bike paths. We dodged a lot of squirrels and rabbits and after the trip was over we saw a news story that we had missed some black bears on the trail that other cyclists reported the day after we had been there.

    I guess my point is the need for balance. Due to the nature of my work, I have a lot more free time for fun things like cycling and camping right now which I really enjoy because it gets me out in nature. But that doesn’t pay the bills so I also make the most out of the opportunities I get to make extra money when they come along.

    It is a balancing act. I could make a lot more money if I wanted to but it would come at the expense of my health and enjoyment of life, or I could pursue more of what I truly enjoy doing but that would come at the expense of my financial stability. Everybody’s balance point is different but I have found the point that works for me.

    If you are into cycling, I hope to see you on a Rails to Trails adventure this summer as I will be riding on several of them from Wisconsin to Ohio to Georgia (and everywhere in between) this summer.
