Maybe I'm alone in this, but I'm just completely burnt out on being rejected. I almost feel like every time I go to fill out a profile of any kind, platonic or otherwise, I just peter out after a few sentences because it's truly exhausting trying over and over and over only to meet the same end.
I know you have to fake it til you make it. But my energy online is dead. I'd rather try striking up a conversation with a random person in real life and get rejected there. But getting over the last 3 years of isolation and learning to have casual conversations again is a struggle I never thought I'd have.
Please note that I'm referring to platonic connections. Dating would be nice at some point but that's not the point of this site. My point is, telling people who I am in a profile of any kind is just mind numbing.
I am going outside to play.
