Awhile back I posted a thread about overly filtered pics. I’m starting to see a trend now where members are posting AI generated pics. If the rules state that pros need to have a clear pic, do overly filtered or AI generated pics qualify?
Some filters vastly change what people look like 🤔
1, 2, 3…… GO!!!
My own opinion is no, they don't qualify for a pro profile pic anymore than a Bitmoji does.
Ai is definitely getting insane
AI seems easy to use for the scammers too. Since they can get it to lie.
As for profile pic, I'm ambivalent. I understand it could be construed as deception. Yet for platonic cuddling it should not matter.
If anything, it will help when you first meet someone and don't looked shocked because they don't look like who you thought you saw.
Girls be like, no filter 💅
I've never done filters. I'm one of those all natural girls lol
Totally against all of this photo manipulation.
Think of it this way: the more you veer from the way you actually look, the more disappointed someone will be when they actually meet you in person. Is that what you really want?
Understate and over deliver.
Just be yourself!
@WestsideMarc
Exactly!
Or, at least, understate and hope not to under deliver.
If you are here for platonic cuddle, stop focusing on whether the photo is an exact likeness. Are they genuine in your communications? If all you want to do is assess how I look before you cuddle me, miss me and move on to the next. I am beautiful, born that way and can share photos at 125 lbs to 250 lbs all gorgeous. But I'm not here to snuggle for my looks. I want someone to cuddle who is not asking for a photo to check me out. I want you to see someone who is human who is needing something, someone who needs and wants the same. I want to compell you with my conversation not with my looks. aI is fun, it should have your essence and be recognizable but not meant to deceive anyone, I am not against them. I don't need them, just can be fun to play with. For entertainment purposes only for me.
One is Ai and one is not
There
🤗🤗🤗 @Quiet_Cuddlez You are beautiful and strong and confident. I admire you and thank you for telling it like it is
@g_w_t_w thanks for your kindness
Come on now, a little AI enhancement never hurt anyone….lol. I wonder if they’ll let me use the 2nd photo for my drivers license. 🤷♂️
I take back my earlier comment. AI is evil! 🤪
Too much concern over whether a cuddler has filtered pics etc just adds to the underlying sentiment that many people view pro cuddlers as a product
Yea I’d rather a filtered pic as opposed to all the dick pics I keep getting….
I prefer up to date, accurate pictures. Filters and AI are great depictions but again I strongly prefer a more authentic representation.
@warm_embrace that was spot-on. Thank you for the perfect demonstration.
Be who you are you imperfect beautiful messes 🤗
@Sheena123 , let the church say AMEN, I second that statement
I love the faux outrage here: being judged by looks while catfishing, aka posting filtered/AI photos of yourself. It's as phony as the enhanced pictures. Shaving years off your face, lbs off your body and even enhancing cleavage are NOT platonic actions. Catfishing isn't honest. Some of these pics are literally the face/head photoshopped onto another person's body. It doesn't matter if the person is for hire or not, catfishing on this site isn't for platonic intentions.
Some posts seem to imply that the problem with AI generated pictures is not that it raises safety concerns or anything, but just that it falsifies how beautiful they are. The only thing that bothers me with AI generated pics is the reasoning behind it. Are they aware of how it comes across? Are they safe?
A person’s pic choices are mostly just a datapoint to me on who this person is on the inside. Attractiveness is not what I want to look for in a friend or cuddle partner. I look for safety and emotional self-awareness. Filters otherwise don’t bother me.
It kind of bothers me how much weight we put on a person’s physical body when it has nothing to do with dating. I realize I benefit from this in some ways, in other ways it hurts me, and I look forward to the day everyone can choose to look how they want, so we have no choice but to look at each other on the inside.
Im cracking up over some of these AI photos 😂
Personally, im not bothered if someone decides to use AI for their profile photo... because I like to video chat with someone before I meet IRL, so its easy to weed out the disingenuous. Plus I have a pretty good bullsh*t detector anyways. I know thats not the case for all though. Safety is the biggest concern first and foremost.
