SCAMS/VENGEFUL BANNING

Like everything else, its always sad when a few bad apples attempt to spoil a site for everyone! Equally troubling is when vengeful Clients, it appears get a PRO banned unjustly,---at least so it appears. I have noted that members have noted in Karma section where they made a good faith deposit only to have the PRO not appear--and in most cases--these notes seem to be real. Conversely, in at least two cases, I've noted where the PRO is suddenly banned---I am assuming from feedback that may or may not true from a disgruntled client I assume, where from my perspective any inappropriate behavior would "be completely out of character" for the individual as I knew them. Does vengeful banning occur---and are their consequences for members who make false accusations? I wish scams and bad behavior were more readily visible so bad faith members can be removed before the whole community disintegrates!--v/r steve

    I believe the Mods do pretty thorough investigating before someone is banned. I believe that if they are banned, there was a good reason and they did commit offenses.

    I’m sad and discouraged to hear there are continually deceitful people coming to this site. A prevalence of them in general in our society. (I hope I’m exaggerating).
    Well, maybe it’s just the media making it seem like there are so many people with ulterior motives in our society.
    I hope that here on CC It’s just a minority of people attempting to screw up the system, scam the honest members.
    IMO these people just have another kind of mental illness.
    I will do whatever I can to keep it from touching me.
    I believe the Mods and Owners have a nonstop commitment to keep them out.

    Yes, people do try to get other people banned when they themselves are in the wrong. This is why it's so important to keep all communication on the site. The Mods can read the messages and see what really happened. Yes, people do get sanction or even banned for making false accusations.

    Sometimes bad actors write false or misleading Karma. This can also get you banned. Always Report such Karma to the Mods.

    Banned pros have a chance to appeal. It’s not a witch hunt. I think for the most part the mods have an understanding on how to do their job Well volunteer work.

    Most of us know all of the above. Tell me something new for a change .
    For me, just the fact that these people exist Is just really discouraging & getting me down lately. I’m just so tired of awful people. How do you even avoid it? Well, I’m soon moving to a country with a more honest culture. I can’t wait.

    Even if communication is taken off site after booking the text messages via screen shots can be used as evidence against the client or pro. The OP is way off in his assessment that the mods just take a stranger’s word for something the pro did. There is always evidence involved.

    I ask because at least in one of the cases---the individual banned was extremely genuine------knowing nothing about the banning process----maybe I was wrong--but hard to believe banning is justified in all case---I can envision vengeful people lashing out

    Plenty of angry incels who post revenge karma and make false reports . However usually there is an electronic paper trail or some type of validation process to ensure false claims are weeded out, as they are usually pretty easy to spot. And I will say that people who are banned for legit reasons do typically fly under the radar for a good while because they do a good job of hiding things, hence why people are shocked when they are banned .

    [moderator] There are many reasons a pro can get banned - some of the more common reasons are:

    • Ignoring warnings about sharing contact info without a confirmed booking proposal on the site
    • Offering non-platonic services, here or elsewhere, having a profile on another site commonly associated with paid non-platonic offerings (onlyfans, fansly, seeking, what's your price, sugar baby dating sites, escort sites, etc)
    • Taking deposits and not following through with sessions
    • Holding sessions not booked through the site

    That raises a good point - a pro may seem perfectly legit to you here, but you have no way of knowing what they may be doing off of this site that could get them banned here.

    I think the revenge part is probably overstated. In reality, 55-60% of pros are marginally sex workers. More than likely, they are getting banned for legit reasons. A very large percent can also be found on sugar sites and OF. This site is not what you think. It's not even worth reporting them. It's like whack-a-mole.

    @dennis22554 Read and reread what Cheeseboy wrote. You're hearing just one side of the story. You won't hear from the site.
    The Pro may have been genuine with you, but not behaved the same for someone else. It's nice that you want to fully believe this Pro who you've known for barely 2 months (since you signed up in May), but you're not only discounting someone else's experience but trying to blame them. Without any proof or research.
    You only know someone as much as they want. As I once heard on a radio show, "Even Ted Bundy had a girlfriend."

    I would truly be shocked if the percentage of PROs are marginally sex workers---I'm not naive--but that seems to be an extremely high figure---if it is that high---cc is doomed! Another question I have are there people posing on the site --who are essentially just scammers looking to drain bank accounts?

    @dennis22554 I would counter that the site is doomed if those workers go away. Can you imagine site revenue declining suddenly by half? They are needed to keep the site running. It's one of those 'look the other way kind of things'. The site actually loses money from the forum folks as many are enthusiasts or have few clients. It's a good thing computer storage is cheap these days to store their words.

    To clarify, I'm talking active members not the ones that get banned quickly.

    I am not talking about revenue---the assumption that half the PROs on the site are "marginally sex workers" is in contrast to what I see are truly genuine heartfelt postings by many of the PROs ---from a business perspective "looking the other way for short term revenue gain" will shortly backfire because the uniqueness of CC offering platonic services s in high demand and will allow the site to continue to grow---if it turns into a "sex service"---than what makes it any different from all the others---and those sites will eat each other alive with only a few emerging. Everyone is entitled to an opinion--and although I respect that right---I would suggest that suggesting half the site is consists of "hookers" i offensive--I apologize if I misunderstood your comment--but that is what it seems to suggest. Id love to see real stats and maybe for CC leadership to post warning messages advising of "bad behaviors (there are all types of scams) when noted.

    Try the SA/CC matching game. Create a fake Seeking account and see how well it matches up with your local area listings.

    Dear Dennis,
    You are a nice guy but naive. There is a lot of bad stuff going on behind the scenes that we don't know about; sex work, scammers, women inviting cuddlers over who have a couple of their guy friends waiting to roll them, catfishers, trolls, you name it. Please be very careful here. While there are at least a few here that would like to successfully get someone revenge banned that doesn't actually happen. The pro you refer to did something against the rules that you don't know about, most likely.

    The forum is not representative of the cc group. Even if it was, that doesn't mean one individual here can't start DMing you and turn you every which way but loose. Many things are not what they seem. Many people here are dishonest no matter how convincing they seem. Always pick safety above anything. Don't get involved with anyone until you've have many convos with them on site.

    Hi Achetocuddle, Thank you--I was simply asking a questions--nothing more---it would be nice if some type of warning advisory were posted with general cautions--maybe that's asking too much---I still stand by the point of view that many of the posting are genuineI I may not have been on the site long but am not naive---but if CC were nothing more than a group of deceitful people---the world truly has become a sad place!

    Look for pros with a decent amount of karma. That helps. Any site designed to attract touch-starved people is also going to attract predators, the same way Match attracts date scammers and LinkedIn attracts job scammers.

    @dennis22554 Deceitful people are everywhere and CC is merely a micro-reflection of society. With that said, the majority of people are honest from my experiences over the years (I have been here 6 years). IRL a big part of my job of over 20 years is sizing up people quickly and it comes in handy here as well. So please trust your gut and ask questions and you will be fine. If it’s sketch—it probably is.

    @dennis22554 according to the Stats page here, this site hit 100,000 members in February 2018. There's maybe 100 regular posters here on the boards. That's less than 1%. Pretty easy to see the forums aren't going to be a proper representation. Those who don't follow the site's rules aren't going to brag about it on the forums, lest they get banned. Food for thought.

    I had an this issue occur this week, regarding 'vengeful banning' from a client. and CC was nothing but understanding, and I did not get banned.
    I would say I do not communicate a lot on the platform - I am quick to exchange phone numbers because it is easier for me.
    I provided screenshots :)
