@CharlieBear
Scrapple is kind of a Lancaster thing, but you could probably get some in Harrisburg.
Milk duds and corn dogs, but that's my comfort food for the Continental US as a whole
@JoyfulHeart Oh Iโll have to look that up!
@pmvines Those are some of the best comfort foods โบ๏ธ
It would be good to know who else would be travelling from far away and would need a hotel, so we (as in everyone, not just me) can see who might be a good roommate (or possibly even cuddle buddy).
@charliebear of course there is Hershey Chocolate (Hershey's Chocolate World is a fun tourist stop for an hour or two) and Amish specialties like shoo fly pie and Chicken Pot Pie (Amish style, more like a soup). And Lancaster is the birthplace of the Whoopie Pie.
For beer fans one of the best local breweries in America is Troegs which is in Hershey and I hear has a great tasting room and restaurant.
And I used to live just outside of there and it is true - downtown Hershey does indeed smell like chocolate (less so nowadays since the old factory was torn down, but the odor can still be there if the wind is blowing right)
I'm thinking that..... good lord, you smell something?
@Spud424 Omg you had me at Hersheyโs! Also I really hope I can go. It would be great to see you again โบ๏ธ
That would be great if you could make it!
I forgot to mention that Central PA is the snack food capital of the world. There are literally dozens of brands of local potato chips, pretzels, baked goods than pretty much anywhere else. Check this out https://www.atlasobscura.com/articles/pennsylvania-potato-chips
Will there be cheese ?
Hah, I just happen to be in Harrisburg right now ๐ I might come back for this
Have a wonderful time, peeps! ๐ฟ๐๐ช

This will be fun! Iโm in PA, about an hour or 2 from Pittsburg
Nothing but love @charliebitme but I'm compelled to clarify my hometown is spelled Pittsburgh!
@Spud424 we love all the snacks! I'll just Dance those calories off with your awesome DJ grooves!!
I hope there will be some events like this in North Carolina. Definitely would love to meet someone down here as well.
@Unscented_Lemon that's a super idea in reference to hotel/Airbnb or similar lodging accommodations.
It's too early to start a countdown. IS IT too early to start one?? I'm driving from Pittsburgh. I've been enjoying road trips solo, but having a travel partner can be really awesome ๐ If you love country music though, I don't allow it in my car. Phil Collins too. Just being honest ๐คฃ
@Auroradream I 100% agree about timers. I LOVE A COUNTDOWN!! And in this case @OhioMike would be VASTLY disappointed because we already missed the 100 day mark!!!
@cudbud64 do we have a name for this event?
Wish I BOULD FINALLY JON You and meet other cuddlers from the country but still recomering from a stroke here.
@Lev136 Warm hugs and positive thoughts going out to you during your journey after the stroke. ๐ซ
Yall itโs been a busy last week or so since I posted, I promise Iโll be responding to my inbox and updating things soon! Iโm so excited for how many have responded to this thread ๐
@sillysassy Heck yes! The countdown is happening. Less than a hundred days sounds manageable. ๐ฅบ Can't wait to throw around some hugs...one is for you!
@Auroradream โ If you love country music though, I don't allow it in my car.โ
I knew there was a reason I liked you from the start๐
@Spud424 we absolutely share the same taste in music...good taste ๐ There's a hug with your name on it too, you know! ๐ค
@Auroradream
"Phill Collins too"
This part I strongly agree with. (At my brother's behest.)
Sadly (for me, if I ever wind up in your car) I grew up on country, so have a built in love of it. Fortunately I love a lot of other music too
The Countdown has begun!!!! For those of us who have to wait to hear about it, will you folks PLEASE take PLENTY OF PHOTOS while there????
With @Spud424 laying down the sounds, I'm hoping that you all have a wonderful time!!
From what I understand, only a small percentage of the members here frequent the forums. Having said that, I wonder how many people in the area around Harrisburg even KNOW that such a momentous occasion is about to take place? lol
The pics from the Rose Cuddle in Columbus, last year, were DELIGHTFUL!!! Hopefully, those who attend will upload plenty of pics from this meet up when it happens!
It still seems SO FAR AWAY, though.. So I'll just keep re-visiting this post, in anticipation! lol
Only 2 hours away, I might have to pull up!
@Rosencrantz Wholeheartedly-- come to the meet n greet! The Columbus gathering last year was amazing. I had only been a professional cuddler for a few months and I felt like it really solidified my feeling of having a tribe and helped me understand cuddling as a lifestyle. I made FRIENDS, some I hope to have for years to come. So if you make the drive (I'm coming from Pittsburgh) this petite gal has a very large hug waiting for you!!
