Hey everyone, Im a female enthusiast, Ive been on and off this site since 2018. There are moral, mental, stigma issues that effect female enthusiasts, on the first part, being on a “hook-up site” has negative stigma attached. We dont hook up here for sex but there are many “non-believers” out in the world. To some extent cuddling as a pro is more respectable as a job than a female who cuddles for free. Another issue is how creepy guys can be and the social indoctrination of predatory behavior in men. My experience prior to cuddle comfort is that you couldn't cuddle with men any longer than a tease because they will expect sex and if you don't put out at best they get frustrated, make things awkward and leave or at worst they get mad and leave. I would say that its because of these societal trends that women go pro or stay away. I tell people at cuddle comfort I found a “New-Breed of Man”- men with self-control and respect for women boundaries. I tell newbies if they are struggling to get started, getting a pro for the sake of getting reviews will help other women feel safer to engage and connect. I think the reviews feature is as good as cash on this site especially for women looking to start on this site as enthusiasts good reviews = safety in a woman's mind. Be mindful that the social stigma of being on a hook up site is more taboo for women enthusiasts then for men in general. And expect to spend some money when meeting up with an enthusiast… whether its out for coffee or a hotel. If a guy opts to get a room for our cuddle meet up I offer to get takeout or pay for a movie rental on YouTube etc. Or we go half on a room just to keep things platonic. I hope this helps. Peace and ((hugs)).
@WriterGF, there is a box not so much a message. I think its every 30 days with bullets. Women get something different. If the become a pro or complain, they stop. Meet an enthusiast and ask. There are several that post on discussions.
Anyone else seen this message?
@TxTom it appears your a consumer of the site, as am I. I appreciate good service. I imagine you do to. Good service I believe should be expected by both Pros and CC.
Lets look at reviews. Do you feel they accurately portray your experiences and should be weighed heavily before making a decision? Do you feel they are slatted to avoid retribution?
@Nick4Cuddling Personally, I don't make my decision with whom to seek a cuddle session based on reviews (karma). A couple of times, I have been the first one to write karma.
However, I trust what many women here have commented on, in that karma is not to be totally trusted. Women experience this site much differently than men do.
Several karma MAY give you an idea about how a person is, but it is not trustworthy. Some glad-handing, etc. going on there I think. I would never base a decision wholly or mostly on karma. Besides a lot of guys act differently with different women. Many of them can tell when a woman is vulnerable and those women probably won't be treated as well. Some guys will treat several women well and then make an exception for the next one.
Yes, and some people leave good karma only so they won't get bad karma in return. It's not really a guarantee of anything.
@TxTom good feedback. Sounds like there is an opportunity for the site to invest and do more with the revenue. What technology investments have you seen over the years to improve the communication experience you pointed to earlier?
@achetocuddle thanks for sharing. If not too much are you aware of enthusiast being encouraged by the site to become a pro?
I have no idea. I'm not an IT guy. Not all improvements/changes are obvious.
That would be a question for admin. But they may not divulge that info.
I was an enthusiast for a while and cuddled with both pros and other enthusiasts during that time. I don't remember being encouraged by the site to become a pro. If I was, it wasn't very memorable. 🙂
Dear @Nick4Cuddling Lol, I'm glad you understand that sharing can be fraught with adverse effects for the poster sometimes. I'm not aware of the site encouraging enthusiasts to become a pro. I had not even thought of that. I really just figured that most women that start out enthusiast realize there is money to be made doing something they like so they switch. The site would not talk to me about becoming a pro anyway, lol. They know, I think, that I am too independent and not gonna follow a crowd, especially if I don't agree, lol.
@Nick4Cuddling I don't think I've ever seen this box. Do you have a screenshot?
Unless it's the box that reminds you of the rules when you communicate with a pro.
Years ago, one of my female friends was on the site as an enthusiast and one day she logged in and was a pro. She said she never requested to be a pro and wasn’t sure why that happened. That was years ago btw and I know a lot has changed.
Is this another thread about people wishing to control others’ behavior? Or the way the site is run? “The way to make Pro Cuddling more affordable”- for who? It’s actually affordable to quite a lot of people. I would love to hire a male Pro but I accept that I can’t afford it, like a lot of things. (Personally I wish a place to live would be more affordable also)
A “solution” that involves making someone else do what you want? A better idea might be for those who don’t like this website as it is, could start their own cuddle site that matches exactly what “they” want, that “they” can control.
I’m so tired of this inability to understand how life works.
Funny story. This morning I started messaging a new non-pro. She seemed nice. asked for my picture. I alwys wonder if I'll hear from someone again after sending them my picture. I would say most of the time I do...but today about 15 minutes or less she simply deleted her account. hahah! i wonder if my picture was really that bad, or maybe someone else sent her a really nasty message. I'll never know!
Oh and I'm not whining about it or having a pity party as some would suggest I'm doing...I'm just relaying a typical experience I have on here. Not complaining at all. That's just how it is. I can actually laugh at it now. I know eventually I'll find another cuddle friend and I bet it'll be awesome. I just have to be patient and not give up.
@Melancholy
It was definitely your pics 🤣
Ha no, us mods are not paid nor do we receive any sort of compensation/discounted cuddles/or anything else. We do it because we are members of the community that volunteer our time to try to keep the site safe for our fellow members. We have no financial stake in the site and just want to see it be as successful as we can because we understand how beneficial cuddling can be. It can very difficult at times, especially for someone like me who is about as non-confrontational as a person can be with a pretty weak stomach for all the things I now have to see. I’m also not used to being called the horrible things that are thrown my way by disgruntled (former) members. Luckily we can take breaks whenever needed which lately has been a lot of breaks for me. I was just a regular user/forum poster prior to joining the mod team and I can say it’s def like looking behind the curtain once becoming a mod and seeing all the horrible things people have to deal with on here. And there are other mods (pretty much all of them) that handle farrrrrr more reports than I do 😮💨
I haven’t heard of people being spammed to become a pro. I don’t think the site owners are trying to force anyone to go pro. The fee pros pay is the only income generated for the site but I have no idea how much that is. There are plenty of women enthusiasts that have been very successful in finding platonic cuddle buddies and I don’t think they have ever been asked to start charging as a pro. Being a pro is a nice side-gig (or for some, their primary source of income) but they are not allowed to cold-call members that haven’t shown an interest by,at minimum, viewing a pros profile. (If they do, report them).
Okay, I could be wrong on enthusiat being encouraged to be pros. Appreciate everyone chiming in.
But there are a “pop-up” that talks behavior every 30 days or so before you message some one.
@CharlieBear, so I believe the hierarchy of sorts is mods who are volunteers who police the site, then admins who program (probably paid, maybe 3rd party), then the owner that collects 15% of every paid cuddle that is booked through the site…. Is that right?
@WriterGF mentioned in another thread we can vote on changes, curious some examples over the last 12 months and how we provide input for that?
Thank you every one!
Reported and reviewed. Removing comment. Post your comments on your disagreements in the pro pricing thread, not here. [CharlieBear]
@Melancholy And you didn't sound like you were having a pity party either! Lol.
No this thread isn't about trying wishing people would do what you want. One person has recently derailed the thread a bit. The thread is about whether being on the site has hurt more than it helped the men who choose to reply.
Saying I wish someone would cuddle with me for free is in no way trying to make anyone do anything they don't want to do.
Edit: I don't know what the thread is about anymore. Lol. I retract.
@BigAndCuddly27
...but the reality is that charging $100+ per hour for cuddling is exploitative.
Are grocery stores exploitative? After all, you gotta eat. You don't have a choice.
@TxTom I talked about that in the post. They become exploitative when they start charging WAY more than stuff is worth because they can. People are going to buy groceries because they need to eat. In a similar way, people resort to hiring pro cuddlers because they need physical contact.
Years ago when I first discovered professional cuddling, pros were making $40 an hour. As time has passed, prices have increased as has inflation. In my humble opinion, $100-$120 is about what the cost should be and you can find many pros that charge this rate. I am outspoken about prices probably more than anyone on this site has ever been but I think as I said, $100-$120 is fair and not exploitative. I think pros who charge more than that, $150 and up along with upsells are a different story. If you’re looking for pros who charge less or for an enthusiast, they are out there and I’m sure you can find them. Prices are not going to decrease however. The only way that prices will decrease is if all male members stopped paying inflated prices. This won’t happen though because of the sex workers who are on the site who include extras in their price as well as the men who simply are willing to pay that price. I have kept track of close to 100 pros who charge $200 or more and the majority of them have either been banned or they leave the site when they realize they don’t get much business at that rate. A handful of them are actually active and have karma and the other handful that are left have lowered their prices. I used to have 1-2 sessions a month back when prices were lower but now I only have them occasionally. I make a decent living and can afford it but for me personally, I can think of wiser ways to spend $150 than to spend it on a cuddle session.
Eating is critical to survival. Cuddling is not.
Don't confuse what you greatly desire with what you actually need.
@TxTom depends your views on maslows hierarchy of needs… granted it fails to demonstrate group behavior.
@TxTom I said “I see cuddling in a similar way.” I didn’t say they were the same, and I never said cuddling was necessary for survival. They won’t die without it, but it’s important for mental health.
@BigAndCuddly27 They charge what the market will bear. If a pro is charging $100 an hour, and gets no business, then she will likely lower her price.
Also keep in mind that $15 of that $100 goes to the site. If she is a guest, she has to pay gas money and wear and tear on her car. If she is hosting, she has the work involved in preparing the space. If she maintains a space for her business, she has rent to pay. Add to that the potential physical risk of the job.
I don't have money for pros either, but I do not think they are being exploitative at all. No one is entitled to free physical intimacy with someone else and no one is being forced to hire any pro at any price. There are a lot of things in life I can't afford right now and other people can. I don't consider the people who sell those things to be exploiting anyone. It's not their fault I don't have extra money.
Cuddling someone, enthusiast or pro, is a privilege, not a right. No one owes it to anyone else or is obligated to make it happen for them.
