What you’re saying makes a lot of sense. I try to look at the value of every $ that I spend, and whether it is a low enough amount that I can take the risk. Will I really miss that $$ if I lose it?
When I think of how money disappears so fast anyway, $25 might be gone in a minute - the grocery store, restaurants, etc.

  • @SunshineHug
Ha me too! Unfortunately I think that’s something only the admins can see. They are tough to gauge what is legit and not because sometimes it’s the client that was inappropriate and got kicked out but went unreported. Thankfully there are other mods that are good at banging those reports out. I def am not 😂

Link: (Pros) Cuddler Contract and Independent Contractor Agreement
    Link: (Clients) Client Service Agreement

Reported (simply for length). Replacing with a link instead, and adding a link for the client service agreement. [CharlieBear]

sweet, thank you for doing so respectfully as it does not bother me to read since it is a forum.

  • Pros, aka, cuddle providers, ( I like that term better too @Auroradream) - humans are allowed to take up space on CC, require deposits ect. And provide much needed respite and cuddle companion platonic support.
If this thread is any indication of all that.

Hugs and safe cuddling 🥰🤗to us all.

@g_w_t_w it makes sense for that to be an ego shot.
It's a rejection, it's putting yourself in a vulnerable position. It's the same fear as opening up to someone who might laugh at you. In this scenario, it's paying to be cuddled by someone (which is already hard to ask for) at the risk of them using you. I'd rather someone tell me no, than take advantage of me.
And I believe the demographic of clients have trust issues to begin with. So, trusting that someone cares could be hard, then harder if it turned out to be another lie.

As for asking for cuddles.. that is hard. Obviously paying someone to cuddle you is to accept that you're not good enough to be cuddled for free. I wouldn't tell anyone I essentially pay for hugs :[
That it what it is, and I'm happy to have found this place. (I'm sorry if that last paragraph hurt anyone)

  • @g_w_t_w

Speaks volumes about our current culture.

Yes, it does. I wish we could return to the days of leaving our doors unlocked and a handshake was a bond. But those days are gone for the foreseeable future.

There are very well established Pros whom I would trust with my deposit. But I don't trust these various cash apps. I don't trust the various institutions to keep my money safe from scammers.

However, I would be perfectly okay if CuddleComfort became a subscription-based service. I realize this is not a popular opinion, especially amongst male enthusiasts. But a subscription would provide additional screening on both sides and would reduce (though not eliminate) ghosting and scamming.

A subscription would reduce the number of Users on CC, but I think the average quality and dependability of its Users would increase.

  • @g_w_t_w

I have Actually asked a couple of men who claimed to have a high income, why they were so hesitant to risk $25 deposit.

It’s probably because due to their high income, they understand the value of money and know how to make wise decisions. They understand that making a deposit that they could possible lose is a bad investment. Great point 👏👏👏

  • Can some of y’all please use the spoiler option so that your post doesn’t take up an entire page?

  • edited July 2024

    @Morpheus
lol your fingers getting a little tired?
You know what, if we don’t want to use the spoiler option, then we won’t.
And also, actually, it IS an ego thing, Is what they told me & not anything to do with the amount of money.
The idea of a rejection - Which no one wants of course - hurt their feelings. I think maybe you didn’t understand my comment

    @OverTheMooon
I appreciate you and totally get it.
You did understand my point, and it’s only human nature to not want to be rejected. But some men here won’t admit that and feel very prideful. Overly confident people do reveal some things about themselves, though don’t they?

@g_w_t_w heyy, morph said please after all
@morpheus I know you mean the contract post, but idek how to set up the spoiler 🤷🏻‍♂️ at least on mobile

  • For an established pro, I don't have a problem paying a modest deposit. For a new pro with no karma, I'd probably be disinclined to acquiesce to the request.

    @Morpheus nailed it lol 😂

Again, it needs to be reviewed and yes, reading and comms is fundamental.

I get that. It can be frustrating and discouraging to hear and see and read about it.

Not all of us are semi–unpaid Professional Forum seeding planters.................. on every topic, everyday.

May you be cuddled properly by yours in house or those you message on CC, to release the horrible stressing sight of reading from your brain and eyes today.

  • So much sass, sorry Morpheus

  • Great input and commentary! Overall, it validates my perspective:
1.) I’m more than ok paying a deposit for Pros that have some karmas and who have been on CC for a while. A deposit especially makes sense for pros who are in high demand and/or those who need to travel from a greater distance.
2.) I’m justified in being a little reluctant to pay a deposit for a new pro with no karma.
3.) Women should do whatever they think is necessary to ensure their safety and guard their time. There are several guys like me who are respectful but there are a lot of creeps on here that don’t have the best of intentions. Female Pros- keep being safe and thanks for what you do to offer care and companionship for guys like me.
4.) Guys- be smart and don’t let yourself get scammed. And let’s keep being respectful and honor these women (especially the good and kind ones).

  • I have heard that any subscription-based service, using some of the payment apps, and verifying your identity possible features implementations are fear based due to the potential risks of the household partners finding out about the cuddling not discussed and reviewed in house, money utilized for the service and platform, potential of scamming or harassment and stigma associated with unorthodox touch platonic therapies in which those whom do not use CC and those whom do, perpetrate the stigmas.

Less stigmas and more communications on the real subject matter on hand is key for a full circle encompassing life flow.

Again, I respect anyone's financial boundaries.

I wanted to share my view and experience since many Pros are not comfortable sharing and opening up on the forum platform due to many reasons, most petty obvious.

  • @g_w_t_w

lol your fingers getting a little tired?

No, I use voice to text.

You know what, if we don’t want to use the spoiler option, then we won’t.

You do a great job already, no need to change.

  • @OverTheMooon

    So much sass, sorry Morpheus

    Thank you Sir 👑

  • @lonelytauros

    Thank you also Sir 🤴

  • Thank you @jwj420 for threading this topic again and getting insights.

I believe you can also reach out to a mod if a Pro is new, has no references to relay to you, nor karmas as many clients prefer privacy and you want to ask cuddle session related questions.

I hope your cuddle journey is blessed and not fraught with perils, financially nor reading and communication wise.

  • edited July 2024

@SunshineHug is right. Not every mod will want to field questions about other members as they focus more on reports, but those of us you see commenting as users on the forums (such as myself) are happy to help (with respect to their privacy ofc).

  • Thank you @CharlieBear

I dislike channeling more free work to mods but feel some updates would curb this.
Or just a fresh group of mods for specific smaller vet questions such as these.

  • If I did not trust enough to send a deposit, I’m a long way from trusting enough to have an enjoyable, relaxing cuddle.

On the other hand, if I trust enough to plan to meet for a cuddle, I’m well over my trust threshold to send a deposit in advance.

For me, it comes down to trust. And trust affects decision to send (or not) a deposit and the decision to cuddle (or not).

    But that’s just me. 🙂

  • edited July 2024

Nobody should send cash to another person they’ve never met, for goods or services not yet delivered. It’s not like dealing with an established business where you could track them down and file a claim for a refund if something goes wrong. And nothing against Pros, but this goes for anyone. It’s just common sense in 2024.

  • [Deleted User]WriterGF (deleted user)

@TD1964RGK That's an interesting point. If you suspect the person you are talking with is a scammer, why would you want to cuddle them in the first place?

  • edited July 2024

To me, anyone who secretly cuddles without a spouse or SO knowing - because they know it could destroy trust and a relationship - might also be considered Scammers.
But how do we know if online strangers are being honest about anything anymore?

  • I have only ever asked for a deposit if there is significant travel time involved or hosting costs. Not the full Amount but a good faith amount. One time I couldn’t make it and just returned the deposit. I think it was $10. One time I didn’t ask for a deposit and I took a $25 Uber to a location and the client was a no show. $25 Uber home and Lesson learned. All of the other times there were no deposits and no problems. It’s the exception and not the rule I would say!

  • After driving 45 mins to a no show appointment recently, I going forward will require deposit if I have to drive more than 15 mins plus travel time fees for any travel more than 20 mins. I have 14 glowing karmas so hopefully people will be okay with a deposit. By the way I left one star karma to that no show client and he retaliated with two star karma which said offered to pay for her Uber but she refused 🤦‍♀️🤯🙈🤣 He did try to reschedule the next day but I had no desire to cuddle someone who disrespected my time like this. Luckily admins here are fantastic and removed his karma quickly.

  • @g_w_t_w

But when I was constantly asked about traveling to another part of the US to cuddle, I said I am not going to book a flight, pay for it and make hotel arrangements unless I have booked sessions and a $25 deposit.

I have never paid a deposit but I have also never asked anyone to travel to me. My opinion of deposits completely shifts if a client is requesting a pro to travel to them. Your willingness to do it for just a $25 deposit is incredibly generous on your part. If someone were asking you to travel I would expect at a minimum for them to pre-pay your travel expenses.

  • @JohnR1972
I appreciate your empathy. In the case I was referring to, I had thought I might take a trip to the northeast, because I wanted a part cuddling trip / part vacation.
But I had talked to several CC members on the east coast who had said if you’re ever up this way, please let me know.
So I wasn’t going to be traveling for a specific client. When I said I might be going on a trip to their area. They said, oh please visit, I want to have a session.
I then said, if I will be coming specifically to your town to see you, I would ask for
a $25 deposit. It would be a good faith commitment.
Well, for other reasons, not relating to cuddling, but family situation prevented me from going
still, I was discouraged & disappointed that these men who were so anxious to have a cuddle with me, wouldn’t risk the $25. I thought that was a little crazy personally. They knew me well enough to know that I am not going to be scamming them out of their $25 ⭐️⭐️⭐️And I will add that if I had received that from anyone, of course I would’ve sent it right back once I found out that I wasn’t going. But not everyone takes things as seriously as I do.
