At Which Point Does Traveling for Cuddling Become a Red Flag?

I've had several people multiple states away try to arrange cuddle sessions with me and I'm always suspicious of it because I think like:
Who would travel over 400 miles for a cuddle session with a stranger? What's their motive?

I've had cuddle sessions with people from Delaware and MD, which are between a 1 and 3 hour drive, so I'm not saying that traveling in general is weird, just wondering about the degree. Like catching a flight from Seattle to Philadelphia just to cuddle?

Am I just overthinking and they're just really enthusiastic about cuddling? Or am I not wrong in getting a bit anxious about it?

    Maybe they are coming to your area for other reasons (work, seeing family or friends) and are just scheduling cuddles for while they are there?

    @KuddlyKoala I go to the Philly area 2-3X a year for work. I have a regular there now and I book with her when I am there. But I don’t go there for cuddling. Cuddling someone there is a byproduct of being there for work.

  • Are they coming to you, or trying to fly you to them? I'd say with the former, @WriterGF is correct; many people travel for business and let's be real, many men here are married, and that's their only chance to cuddle without their wives' knowledge. If it's the latter, I would think hard about flying to anyone who you do not know very well or have not already met - regardless of them footing the bill.

  • Remember though, you aren’t approved yet as a pro. You mentioned you’ve already had sessions. Were those paid sessions?

    When you do become a pro cuddler, you’ll have access to the pros only section and that’s where you will have more answers from fellow pros.

  • I've had cuddle sessions in other states when I travel, but I'm traveling for business or other reasons. The cuddle sessions get worked in around my travel plans, and so far have always been at the hotel where I'm staying.

    It seems like it would be odd for me to travel JUST to meet cuddlers.

  • Yeah, I think in general it’s not a red flag if the people have gotten to know each other first or if them traveling is already something planned and they are looking for cuddles at their destination.

    Though considering what I assume is a large age gap between you and potential clients, I would be extremely cautious. And please take note of what @Sheena123 said because if you are not yet approved as a pro and are currently accepting payment for cuddling, that will most likely result in the application being rejected and possibly getting banned from the site.

  • True, the word "session" is typically used by Pro's, while enthusiasts just say "cuddle".

    @Jubal
    There's definitely a handful of long-time users who travel across the country, specifically to meet up with cuddlers. I've also seen at least two profiles declaring their intent to cuddle in every state.

    Personally, I arrange cuddles during my travels all the time, because I live in a very rural area, and there are no cuddlers near me.

    But I have made three trips solely to spend time with cuddle friends. It's especially awesome when you have numerous friends in the community around one or two cities, so you can see lots of them! 😊

  • @Jubal I agree, while it exists, I find it odd to travel
    just for cuddling. I have a couple of regulars at my home base and the cuddles don’t change much by location. But to each his own.

  • If they were traveling just for you, that might be a little weird. Chances are they're on a business trip, visiting family, going to a concert nearby or something like that. You could always ask them why they're coming. That seems like a very reasonable screening question.

  • I think sometimes we forget some people are here as enthusiasts, and some as clients. It wouldn't make a sliver of sense to travel a long way just to pay for cuddles. But going to spend time with your friends, who happen to also love cuddles - lovely memories.

  • Being you're an enthusiast and young, though, that's probably it. Free cuddles are so rare and ego affirming that men will go to significant lengths to make it happen. Be careful out there.

    She's a Pending Pro. I'm curious of her answer to Sheena and Charlie's questions.

  • @SunsetSnuggles, brings up some good points.

    I haven’t yet done a cuddle while traveling, but I have looked at cuddle profiles in/near cities either going to or would like to visit. That wouldn’t be purpose of the trip, but something additional to look forward to.

  • There are a couple of enthusiasts I see at home and in a couple of cities but those are tied into business trips as well. The Meet and Greet in PA in October will be a business trip I extend into the weekend. I will say that I reserve my free time for trips with my son and/or daughter as they complete college knowing those trips will become less frequent in the ensuing years. But even after they are gone and living their own lives the pull to go to Belize or Egypt or various other places draws me more than a trip to see an enthusiast. But I get it and I have met some people off this site—not necessarily on the forums—that this is their social circle and the friends they meet here are the only friends they have. That’s not an indictment of them but more an indictment of the world we live in today if you allow the majority of your life to be lived online.

  • @SunsetSnuggles That is very true! Traveling to see friends who love to cuddle is the best!

  • My boyfriend and I never wanted kids, and love the resulting freedom it gives us to spend five weeks exploring Europe, this year. Travel is my passion. 🏞 🌃 Relationships and Quality Time are deeply important to me. 👩🏻‍🤝‍👩🏼👫🏻 No reason people can't see the world, and bond with their more distant friends; there is time for all.

    But the topic was whether it's a red flag for a stranger to want to schedule a cuddle from 400 miles away...if they were already coming, no. If a stranger is coming/sending specifically for you, absolutely a red flag. 🚩

    For people who have few or no pros near them, traveling is the primary or only option. 400 miles is pretty far - furthest I've traveled just for cuddles was 250mi - but if you're in the closest big city to someone, that's where they're gonna look.

    Combine that with a love for driving, like I have, and that opens up one's options 🙂

  • To each their own. I would never trade my kids and my time with them. That bond goes deeper than any enthusiast or pro could offer, any place in Europe or the world (been to Europe and lived there as a kid), or anything else.

    Never wanted kids but it rocked my world when they were born and never regretted a minute. And both have seen much of the world already with me. The two greatest moments of my life was when they entered it.

    @KuddlyKoala With that being said, I know of three pros that travel on the client’s dime at the client’s behest BUT they had sessions on the pro’s turf first. So they at least know them. The problem is the pros that I know that do that are because they ask me to fly them to me sometime. They do it by just dropping the suggestion and telling me about their experiences doing that during am session. I normally tell them that borders on Sugar Daddy behavior and I am more of a Vinegar Daddy. I did have one person in Phoenix that was an enthusiast (former pro), say that she had someone that wanted to fly her to Las Vegas, pay her former hourly rate (100/hr) but she was nervous because he had a foreign accent. I warned her that she needed to turn it down regardless of accent because it could very well become a case of trafficking, a case of being coerced into doing things she didn’t want to do, or worse. A foreigner complicates things more if they have a diplomatic passport and can whisk her away with impunity. She said she was definitely turning him down but she was tempted by the $4800 offered to her.

    Don’t assume anyone on here is safe or who they say they are until proven in real life. This site is not real life, so take appropriate steps to vet everyone. I have had a couple of enthusiasts that I lazily vetted and didn’t question the age of the pics, their hygiene or other things and it made for horrible experiences. Those were just bad sessions, for you, it might be worse.

  • I'm a long haul trucker so I travel for a living. Often cuddle hundreds, sometimes over a thousand miles away.

    People travel for business too. Let's not be too judgemental.

  • Long distance when they come to you is fine if they have another reason why they are in your area.

    I would never travel on a plane or drive more than an hour or two to go to their location (unless you know them well). There is almost always something wrong with that scenario. A few have done this and come out ok, but the odds are against you. If they want to talk off the site before there is a firm booking on site, forget them.

  • Once your pro status hits, you’ll probably get less requests once they know they have to pay for it.

  • Assuming she hasn't been charging them already

    Let’s not make unfounded accusations.

  • Let’s not make unfounded accusations.

    I agree.

    Some of y’all going zero to 100 real quick

  • Somebody wanting you to travel a long distance to them, when there are plenty of nearer cuddlers, is always a red flag unless you have sound reasons for thinking it isn't. If they are offering a lot of money it's a double extra red flag, and people making such requests should be Reported.

  • Also because you are not a pro, they may try to get more time out of you. So instead of paying someone 100$ or 150$ for the hour, they can just travel to you and spend a couple of hours. Maybe even suggest to spend more time later on. It’s cheaper for them in that sense.

  • Session is a pro only word? Then someone needs to educate the guys here on correct terminology. Over 50% of my emails from guys here include the word session from them. I'm not a pro and I haven't initiated any emails.

    @donhulio
    You are very astute; people have many practical reasons for traveling for cuddles; some for the pleasure of travel, some due to circumstances outside their control, like living rural. I developed my Colorado cuddle friendships during my frequent trips to visit my mom, after her stroke. They give me even more reasons to visit, besides everyone I know and am related to. 🤩

    @happyhour
    It typically is used by Pro's, but nothing stops an enthusiast from using it. The reason guys use it when messaging you is likely because they don't even realize you're not a Pro. I get messaged frequently by guys who don't realize I'm an enthusiast, and even get Pro's asking me for advice on how I run my "business".

    Many, many people do not read profiles, or are new and don't realize there are different types of cuddlers, here. It's why I state it in my signature, below...though once in awhile, I'll still have people post here, indicating they think I'm a Pro. le shrug
